It's awesome that this place also has a bunch of games and specific game rooms if you wanted privacy. My friends and I come here to play games, color, or just hang out! I came in on a Saturday afternoon, there were about 4 employees at the help desk. As I had never been there before I walked up to the counter to ask if we can play card games there and how much it would cost for a table. I waited patiently and was ignored, I waited there for about 10 minutes but the employees stood there the whole time and were talking amount themselves. It was very awkward I would definitely not recommend which is disappointing as me and my friends and family were looking for a new spot to play games and hang out. read more

Very roomy event center. You can come in and play board games or make stuff--from diy cell phone cases, fluid bear paintings to even tufting. We made appointments online to reserve two spots for tufting. Upon coming in for our appointments we had to wait about 20 minutes for them to set up. Upon setting up, they have to do a little class session to teach you how to use the tufting gun. After that it was smooth sailing. My friend and I choose the mini frame tufting at $75 a piece. We chose our picture and sketched it onto our canvas and was able to start tufting. The staff is there to help answer your questions and to give you tips. After you're done they help glue the backing of your rug but I didn't see them seal the back of it with any product other than a fabric to keep everything together. With that being said, if you're making a big rug idk how safe it'll be if you were to wash/vacuum it. Just putting that out there. Other then that, it was a fun and therapeutic experience. We spent about three hours on our pieces. If you make reservations make sure to plan accordingly as it is a longer activity especially if you like to take your time. read more

Came here after I saw an Instagram post on this place. 528 is a large entertainment facility, but it seems the most popular are the escape/set up rooms, and the tufting. We came here for tufting and chose pretty complicated design on a medium frame. In total this took me about 10 hours, over 2 days. If you choose a more simple one, I saw other people complete it in 5 hours! They set up everything for you, but between setup and tracing, you'll already be one hour in. They teach you how to tuft and they follow up on you quite often which is good! After you complete the tufting, there is glueing, backing and then shaving it flat until it looks perfect. Might be useful to watch some videos on how to do it, but they can also just teach you there. Tip: I had a hard time contacting them. No one answered emails or phone. WeChat them instead if you have a question. read more

My sister told me about this place primarily for their pop mart "trading wall" I had a couple to trade and it's pretty cool if you have duplicates or you're just looking for a particular one. Love it here ! I'm honestly here almost everyday :) I never had any issues here and always feel welcome and safe. I've been purchasing the majority of my Pop Mart items here and ALL are authentic. They have a trading wall as well where you can trade your pop mart figurines. Sometimes the place is dark and has "scary" music playing but it's either part of a murder mystery experience going on or they are rehearsing for it. I honestly don't mind and to me adds to the whole experience. 10/10 would recommend this place ! True hidden Gem! read more

Disorganized. Made an appointment for tufting. I got a text saying my appointment would be pushed back because the party in front of us showed up late. I asked if it we would be able to begin our tufting if we showed up 30minutes late and the person on the text line assured us it would be okay. When we got there, we were told it could be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour longer before we could start. Fortunately we were seated within about 30 minutes (keep in mind this is still an hour later than our original appointment). The person who trained us missed out on a few instructions or provided contrary instructions to what the girl at the end was telling us... Overall the experience was really confusing and the employees were so vague about everything that they never even collected payment for the tufting? I ended up having to ask the counter how we pay because no one gave us any instructions about it. However the experience was still unique. Experience: 7/10 (we got really tired at the end because the girl who was sealing the rugs gave us contrary instructions to the trainer) Parking: 9/10 Customer service:3/10 read more

I would only go back because the price was cheap. Be warned though, there's a reason why it's so cheap. Bathroom had no toilet paper or soap. I did the 14in rug tufting. The board was super unsafe. The nails used to attach onto your canvas, the nails stuck out and I would cut my hand because the "punch needle gun" handles were too close to the bottom. Staff was polite but was super poorly managed. I also don't think it's safe for customers in general. During the "shaving" portion of creating your rug. There was no air filter or proper air ventilation or PPE given to you. So you were just inhaling all the shavings from your yarn. During this process too, their work stations were super crowded with other "product" you could make. Everything was attached to one outlet and you kept knocking into the other person next to you because all the wires for the different tools were tangled with each other. read more

Came here for a tufting class with a few friends and didn't have the best experience. Right off the bat, noticed how messy and unorganized the workshop space was. No one welcomed or greeted me inside despite a few workers passing me and it was unclear who to check in with. Finally asked an employee and it was clear they were unprepared, almost as if they were not expecting my group despite us having a reservation. It seemed they couldnt find my reservation first. They did find it but told me they only had 3 medium frames for us because they ran out and gave a medium to someone else. This was even though I put 4 medium rugs on my reservation and I followed the reservation steps on their website and received a confirmation from their end. I asked how this mistake happened since I received a confirmation and they couldnt tell me. They said they would try to get us a discount since it was a mistake on their end but they never followed up on this. This showed a clear lack of organization and professionalism and it was incredibly disappointing since we had the confirmation and drove a distance for this class. We started about 40 mins late. They were not prepared at all and started setting up the frames and materials after we arrived. The person helping us simultaneously was teaching a completely different art class and going in between our groups. Someone else stepped in to help but the setup was definitely rushed - the canvas was not properly pulled tight on one of our frames. We did not feel welcomed while waiting - no one let us know how long we would have to wait for, no one showed us where to sit or get water. There was no communication between the staff because another employee thought we had no reservation. When we got started, the teaching demo / practice part of the class was pretty short and we all thought the employee could have been a lot more helpful throughout the entire time we were there. Other cons - yarn colors available were a bit limited; music would periodically blast way too loudly; canvas quality was not great and tore very easily; rug backing is not a grippy material and the glue/way it was sealed was not the best; the wooden frames had exposed nails that they only covered with tape which caused a member of our group to get cut. A member of our group had done a tufting class elsewhere and it was obvious the difference in quality. But here the class was cheap so you really are getting what you pay for. Perhaps the only pros are the affordability and that they let you stay as long as you need to finish up. In the end we were decently happy with our rugs and enjoyed the process but we will definitely be finding another studio and will not be returning here. read more

We stopped by because we saw that they take walk-ins for rug tufting. It says it is not guaranteed and appointments are recommended so we figured we would just stop by to find out more information because they did not answer the phone after multiple phone calls. When we got there, there was about 7-8 employees at the front counter/register all talking to each other so we walked up and asked about the rug tufting. The worker who was helping us said yes they do it there and asked if we wanted to do it today (keep in mind this was early evening so there was plenty of time to schedule later in the night as they are open late). We said yes if possible and then he turned to the other 7 workers to see if any of them wanted to help us. They all pretty much said no and we were told to book an appointment on the website for a different day. They did not offer to help us book one right there for a future time and continued just talking amongst themselves. Great Experience with helpful staffs! After we arrived, they would help us choosing our image and give some recommendations on the difficulties. Since it's our first time doing Tufting, we chose a simple image. The instructor was very patient and we learned a lot. We did go on Weekend, so the store is a little crowded. I came for the rug tufting and had a fantastic time. It's a great way to get the experience, training and materials needed for a small rug without purchasing your own tufting gun and all of the supplies. The only thing I'll say is that the back of the rugs are not properly sealed (how can they be? It's not like they can put on flooring sealant and wait for it to dry overnight like professional rugs). Meaning these rugs probably will not stand the test of time. But for $95, you're really paying for the experience, which was worth it in my opinion. Granted there is no instructions on what to do here if this is your first time here which is the case with my friends and I.. Unfortunately the conference rooms can only be reserve 3-4 days ahead according to the staff. We came here expecting a room but we had to be in the lobby room, okay that's fine since it's spacious but heck, we could have just stayed at home and host a game night at home instead. The orange green tea was so-so and the fries were okay. Sounds like a broken record but I had such a high expectations from reading the first review. Darn you.. I am a bit disappointed honestly so I am going to stop here. While I'm still here, people are legit cigarette smoking, though vaping I believe, I'm okay with that but cigs?.. no thanks.. People brought outside food but when I ask if we can bring food in they said no to us. Honestly I would love to give this establishment another try in the future. I found this place by pure fate driving by. I was intrigued and only saw photos of tea on the Yelp and some board games. Decided it looked interesting and I popped in with a small squad. Personally I'm a big fan of board games so I brought my friends who also love board/card games. Once inside we walked up to the front desk and asked what exactly was going on. We were told the same that it was a board game place and that the only entry fee is to purchase a drink. Very reasonable so we purchased our drinks. As we ordered behind the front desk is a small room and 3 guys rushed out in costume and started pounding on the door. It was very confusing and we were kind of shocked. The attendant at the front desk told us that they were just watching a movie and it was part of the show. It sounds incredibly fun, but I didn't inquire further and there was no sign staying extra services. I figure it's some sort of escape room experience. While at the location I took a walk around and there were several rooms with tables and clipboards, and groups were going in together to assumedly play games and roleplay. I noticed a room full of costumes and a washer/dryer near the restrooms so I think you can rent costumes to fully immerse yourself into the games. I am only making assumptions but I'll inquire next time I pop in. After ordering, we took a seat in the tabletop area. The tables are very spacious and there are several heights and sizes to accommodate whatever game you're playing. We brought our own cards to play magic the gathering, but I saw several board games in the corner which you can borrow or use. I noted that most of the games were in Chinese so if you don't speak Chinese you should probably bring in your own board games. There was also a small band set in the corner with an electronic battery set, guitars and mics with amps which you can probably use if you ask. In one corner there was a small couch area where they had a TV with a PlayStation 4. We got comfortable and set ourselves up for a few hours of gaming. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The drinks were brought to us directly. We weren't bothered while playing and we had fun. The drinks were very good, we ordered the peach soda, milk tea, and peach mango tea and all 3 were good. Since we had stayed a few hours one of us got hungry and ordered a beef bowl. She ordered it and it came out promptly. I had a taste and it was good. I think it was a little expensive but it was worth it for the convenience of not having to leave. I saw other groups also playing tabletop games that they brought in. Notably, most of the customers were Chinese and probably knew what was going on. I wouldn't say its unfriendly but it is definitely overwhelming. After being there for a few hours I was still left confused as to what exactly this place was but I will definitely come back to play some board games and maybe if I find out how their interactive games work take a swing at them. read more
