I scheduled an appointment for 1 pm days in advance, and arrived 15 minutes early. I requested to have my tires aligned while I waited. I was told that they only had 2 people working and it was big jobs. The ETA for them to be finished was 6pm. This is unacceptable. I've been coming to this location for almost 4 years and after today they will no longer receive my service. I dropped my vehicle off at 9am and was told that my vehicle would be given a diagnostic and worked on and that they'd need "a couple" hours. I was told by 5 the vehicle would be ready. I called around 2:00pm after seeing the status of my car hadn't changed to being assigned a technician and was told we'll call you dismissively. I called again around 3:15 and was told "oh it'll take a few hours to do the diagnostic and the guy leaves at 5 so he still wouldn't be able to fix the problem today because that take a few hours too" mind you that's why I dropped the vehicle off at 9 am and reiterated multiple times for it to be tested and fixed...they open at 8am it was not that busy, I was the second person in the lobby. Ryan spoke to me in a very condescending tone as if he was annoyed and most likely just told the tech not to rush on my vehicle. My car was there for 8 hours untouched!! From the moment I inquired about claim services, I received poor customer service. I filed an insurance claim with my auto insurance . Though it was not a collision claim the lack of compassion and respect from pep boys makes it just as harmful to my mental health. On July 26th at 8:40am I received a call from Pep Boys from a person named (). The representative asked me to repeat all of the details regarding my claim, which was pretty traumatizing to do. The rep then told me usually insurance companies do not cover services for the type of issue identified. I do not understand why he called me to ask me to repeat all details for my claim as well as tell me my claim issue type is usually not covered when he's not an insurance adjuster. I explained to my adjuster the contact and she informed me that she's working on the details of my claim adjudication and there should be no reason why the service provider should be reaching out to me for any clarifications, when they have all means of contacts to get clarifying details directly from them as well as them not being authorized to adjudicate claims. I was advised by my adjuster to send over the estimate of what repairs are needed and that it will be fixed. If there were additional issues following the original repair and diagnostics that may also constitute for repairs beyond the deductible. On August 1st at 1:10pm I received a call from a very rude man whom told me the email sent did not list any approval for services and that I need to figure out what I want to do with my car. I attempted to explain what I was told by my adjuster and further explain that an answer or clarification wouldn't be available until Tuesday when my adjuster returns in the office. The man started getting loud and surly, so I ended the conversation. I received another call August 5th at 6:23pm from a man whom left a condescending voice message stating he spoke to my insurance provider and they told him they were not covering the repairs. If you Are dealing with any insurance related claims or battling mental health or any other health related issues please stay clear away from this establishment, they are only going to make matters worse. read more

Popped my tire on the way to my kids daycare. I called @6:20 pm and informed them I was in the middle of taking care of the tire and that I'd be there as soon as I could. They immediately helped me out and stayed overtime to help me as well as others, with their cars. Thankfully they had my tires in stock. Truly the best and most selfless workers. I had an appointment at 10:00 am and spent 6 hours getting an oil change, an alignment, and an AC check for potential replacement. While the office staff is friendly, 6 hours is unreasonable especially considering I had made an appointment 2-3 days in advance. Because it took so long, I wasn't able to get my AC fixed. Although the staff was kind, I simply cannot recommend due to the time it took to service the vehicle. On a different note this is just a repair shop, do not expect a store to be attached. read more

A leaking oil problem is what brought me here for service. I was referred by a friend. The staff was very accommodating with my repair. It was expensive though. I had a diagnostic test fee which I think should have been waived since my repair was over four grand! Horrible customer service. I had some mobile mechanic change my spark plugs. After they did it there was a loud knocking. I took it to Pep Boys and specifically asked them to check the plugs and wires and paid the $89 diagnostic fee. After an hour and a half they called me up and said it needs a whole new bottom end. I asked did you check the spark plugs? He says why would I do that? I told them because that's what I asked for. I think it's the spark plugs or wires. He then got very condescending and said I've been doing this for a long time I know what I'm doing. I said thanks for nothing and walked out. Took it to a real mechanic who was kind enough to listen to me and he took out the spark plug. Guess what? It was the wrong plug and was too long so it was getting hit. Thanks for nothing Pep Boys. Had a flat, called ahead, confirmed they would patch my run-flat tire, arrived at 2:30, told it would take 2 hours, tech checked out the tire and confirmed tire was patchable so we waited. Three hours later we hadn't heard anything but they assured us that even if it went past closing at 6pm they would get it patched. 5min to 6pm (same time Costco closes across the street) they tell me they don't patch run-flats but would be happy to sell me 4 new tires... Absolutely a scam, they charged my lady $16 to refill the windshield wiper fluid and the stuff they put in the reservoir is WORSE than the $4 Rain-X sold at Walmart and for $16 they should have given her a gallon of it, but nah, barely filled the container on the Chevy Silverado. They charged her a tire disposal fee without disclosing that she could dispose of it herself to avoid the charge, my neighbor does junk removal and goes to the dump every week to dispose of hauls the correct way and we easily could have fit that in with ANY of his loads. Oil change, Tire Rotation, replacing a tire they advised her to replace and top off fluids: They took 2 days to do these "services", didn't offer her a courtesy ride and charged an $11 uber to her bill when she had an appointment and anyone competent could have done it in a couple hours. After getting a tire replaced, decided to get the other 3 replaced. Called the service manager to reserve the 2 tires that were in his store and to have him get the 3rd one delivered. He called back and said the 3rd tire will be there about 1. I got to the store about 1:30, ready to get the tires installed, then was told the tire wasn't there yet. The service manager had assumed that it would get there by 1. Didn't confirm with the other store that their transfer service has been there or was even scheduled to make the trip. The tire didn't show up until almost 4pm. Finally got done about 4:30. 3 hours to install 3 tires. Totally unacceptable, especially when there were more technicians than cars and I was the only customer sitting there. Service manager wasn't really understanding the importance of good communication and customer service. Under promise and over deliver is how you don't create the one and done customers that this experience has created for me. I was taken care of by Leonard very educated kind man who explained to me how everything was gunna go and if I needed anything for my car related to the service. I got two brand new tires for a very good price. Everything was done in a very timely matter even with how busy it was this morning 10/12/22 . The staff was very friendly I really appreciate the staff that was there today and Leonard was the best as well ! . Strongly recommend this location for great prices and service. Pep Boys is just run of the mill auto parts/service depot that preys on grannies and people that don't know their vehicle or are not mechanically incline. Terrible customer service to boot, I made a 9 AM appointment on their web sight and arrived 20 minutes before the appointment, walked in and was told immediately that it would be a two hour wait, even with having an appointment. So I waited only to be called back over and hr later to be told they couldn't align my truck because of the wheels I had. I had already paid for the year alignment so I asked if I could be refunded the difference since I'd only used 1 alignment, or use the alignment on a different vehicle since they couldn't do mine. I was told there was nothing they could do to help me other ruin my wheels trying. OR get different wheels entirely for their garbage alignment. The 1st one I got from them wasn't even properly aligned from the start, pulled to the left and steering wheel was crooked. The manager was condescending and snarky to boot. Never had any intention of putting the customer first or trying to find a solution to the situation. When I asked to speak to someone above him he said that was impossible. Be warned, go to a pro and stay away from Pep Boys, unless you want to get screwed and talked down to. Got a flat tire and this was the closest my boyfriend and I could find. I was told it'd be an hour to an hour and a half wait and it ended being over 4 hours to simply PATCH my tire. Not only was wait time unreasonable, the service and communication between staff is horrible. The staff left while other cars had to be worked on, sitting against the sidewalk smoking. I had to wait 4 hours and 30 minutes for a tire change. There was no waiting room so I had to sit outside in 96 degree weather under a tree on the curb. There was one guy changing tires. People came in without appointments because I heard the guy in the front talking but their tires were changed before mines was even pulled in the garage. They had my keys so I couldn't even sit in my car and wait for them. They took 4 people that came after me because they bought multiple tires but because I bought one it seemed like they took me last. Then when it was time to pay their was one person in front of me which took 15 minutes, but after that guy left the person in front instead of taking the next person which was me he decided to start calling people by their work order. I was listening when I heard him say he misplaced my work order. It just seems they were laughing and joking they were looking for my paperwork and joking in Spanish, I am African American but I speak fluent Spanish and I just think the jokes were unprofessional while you have me just standing there after sitting on a cement curb for 4 hours and 30 min, then I had to wait another 37 minutes when I was next in line to pay which makes no sense. I know for my future I will never buy another tire or use any of Pep Boys Service ever again. Very unprofessional. And the funny thing when I was calling around to look for a tire because I had a flat everywhere else had to order the tire and Pep Boys had three tires in stock that fit my tire and the guy I talked to Mark said if I came within the next 30 minutes I would be in and out in 45 minutes, I was there in 12 minutes and was out 4 hours and 30 minutes later and Mark was not the one to help me in front and when I told the older guy what Mark told me he kind of blew me off. Customer Service sucks here and I will never refer anyone to this Pep Boys or any other one and I will never return for the job they did and they rush through it that they didn't even reset my sensor, so now I have to go somewhere else to see if they will reset my tire sensor because this store failed to do it. Also, they didn't even to an inspection on my car like most Pep Boys do to tell you what you may need on your next visit if you decide to come back. If you want a half ass job I would tell you to come here. I also heard other customers complaining about the same with their vehicle inspections. Great people and wonderful service! I was headed to Vegas and busted the under-plastics and bumper of my Nissan Maxima and couldn't make it to the nearest dealership. Ayana and Rachel at the front desk were very pleasant and arranged to have the car inspected and to make it drive-worthy.
