Excellent neighborhood meat market, I've visited twice so far and both times received excellent service. Tri-County like all of the meat markets in San Antonio has it own niche. I'd say it's their homemade jerky, which perfumes the store in a mouthwatering meaty aroma. Very good selection of cuts that mostly focuses on beef (this is Texas, after all!) but they supplement this with a pre-made section with lots of Cajun specialties and another chill-case filled with chicken and pork cuts. Overall, this place is very much worth a visit! Among other things, parking is easy, they have a sense of humor about their product selection and furnishings, and they're right across the street from Gino's. Pick up a cheesesteak, have a great lunch, then roll over here and pick up a ribeye for dinner. Now you're talkin' good times!

This place was way more than what I expected. Staff was really nice and super helpful seeing as it was our first time coming. Their stuffed jalapeños looked incredible and the stuffed chicken. I honestly want to try some of all of it. My husband was also excited to find boudin. He's a New Orleans native so anything that reminds him of home makes him happy. We got some of their marinated fajita steak, it was highly recommend to us from another customer so we grabbed some to try. They use the seasonings they sell which is nice so if you love it, you can get more and make it at home. PS: they offer military discount!

Came in to pick up some steaks and was greeted immediately. But for the next 8 minutes as we waited in front of the steak cooler we weren't assisted. The cashier saw us standing around and asked if we wanted help. But by that point I was upset to have been the only person waiting for hep and not receiving it. I didn't buy anything and won't be back.

Ask the Community - Tri County Meat Market

Hello, do you guys sell Wagyu steak?

I saw some Wagyu cuts for sale when I visited in July 2022. However, I'd call them before you head down to make sure they're still selling it as their stock changes daily.

Do you have seasoned steak and chicken fajita meat?

I saw both for sale in late July 2022. However, I'd call them before you head down to make sure they're still selling it as their stock changes daily.

Hi, Do you guys have 70% or 73% ground beef?

They fresh grind every day and offer two grades. I would characterize their standard offerings as being lean and extra lean. And then on call ahead special request they do a ground brisket, which is flavorful (higher fat content).

    Do they have cow tail?

I did NOT see this when I visited in late July 2022. However, I'd call them before you head down to see if they have it, as their stock changes daily.

They recently got me some special request (sizing/shape) briskets, ground brisket into patties and have been super helpful.

" - Farmhouse This chicken salad is absolutely divine. It has simple elements and no unnecessary additives. The only thing that can be tasted in this chicken salad is a bit of mayo, red onion, lemon juice, and jalapeño. It requires no "extra" seasonings. I am not a big fan of mayo, but for those who are, they will find this salad is light on the mayo. I did add EVOO to the mix to spread the chicken salad across sourdough bread. Outside of this chicken salad, I've purchased various cuts of meat and cheese from this shop. Each item I've purchased here seems to be better than the next. #supportlocal

Half of the market was closed off, but something new that popped up near the front of the store was a coffee/smoothie bar. We stopped in for a quick to go order of a coffee, pastry, and smoothie. I loved the fact that there is an option to make your own. I was able to choose my base, 2 fruit options, and a veggie. I chose - blueberry, strawberry, (comes with a banana), spinach, and almond milk. Perfect! Healthy and fresh. The girl behind the counter was friendly and accommodating. There's also a gelato bar. Curious to see what's new when renovations are done!

So they just re did a portion of the store to expand their ready made foods. My husband and I go in to get a couple of sandwiches. We've done it before for little weekend picnics, but my bread was so tough today it wasn't really pleasant. It felt like it had been left in the fridge section for too long. Then we knew the brisket and prepared meats weren't going to be ready until 4, we had asked one of the employees there and they told us it'd be ready at 4. We ordered a couple of sides for dinner and both of the sides were labeled incorrectly. One of them triple the price of what the item should have costed. We came back at 4 and then were informed the brisket might be out actually closer to 5. What? Why tell us 4 and then push it to another hour? We decided to leave and check out and at the checkout lane I noticed they started putting the meat out?? Did they just not want to serve us?? Their customer service specifically was rude but our cashier who helped us with the overpriced ticketed items was nice and helpful. It just doesn't feel good to be treated with disrespect and to basically be lied to because the same guy who said it wouldn't be out until 5 literally started to put out the meat as soon as we walked away. Weird, random, and I hated it.
