Great butcher friendly vibes from the moment we walked in and walked out we were greeted &kept nice company while we waited for our order. They explained the offers and even substituted items to best match our ask. The sirloin was so tender flavorable pulled apart nicely after on the grill for 10min flipped 5mins both sides. WOW This is a GREAT place to get meat! Arnold and his wife are amazing and personable while also educated and passionate about their shop. They answered all of our questions and let us try samples of the smoked sausage and beef jerky before buying....we were hooked! We bought 2 Ribeye steaks (fresh cut) and a small bag of jerky that was gone within the hour. They go above and beyond for you, like seasoning a steak in a vacuum sealed bag so you can come pick it up marinated and ready to cook....WOW. EXCELLENT Customer service and reasonably priced for very well sourced meat! The shop is new to this area but if you're a local get in there before they get busy! Awesome cuts and the meats are fresh.. I had some Kan Kan cuts by him which no one else could cut it the way I wanted and also brought one of the meat packages. I was not disappointed at all . My first time here, they were busy and limiting how many people were allowed the shop at a time. Bought a variety of meats, ribeye, Ground beef, a roast and bacon. I read reviews for Arnold's on Nextdoor and Google. We live within minutes of this wonderful butcher shop. The grocery stores are very limited with meat, pork and chicken right now. So I went to try out the meat. Fantastic! Good prices! Arnold ground my hamburger meat while I waited. He sells Angus beef. The flavor of this meat is nothing like grocery store product. I bought $47 and change worth of beef tenderloin from Arnold's butcher shop one of them was edible. I had friends over had to run to HEB to grab steaks the other two were so sh×ty... froze it so I could cook it for the dogs so $50 almost worth of steaks and 30+ of it I fed to the dogs. Don't go here. I would have given it a zero but it wasn't an option. If you do go here do not walk out without seeing what you have purchased because they will sell you garbage if you let them. read more

We purchased a "package deal" that consisted of beef, poultry & pork. (This purchase was made back in April) To my surprise, it was all pulled from a freezer located at the front of the shop. I was under the impression that the meat would be fresh. The only fresh meat that we saw was in the display case & it was just that; for display purposes only. For that matter, there was hardly anything in the display case. When I went to defrost the pork chops, they were pale white in color & had a slight odor when I opened the package. (I should've taken a photo) It gave me the impression that they could've been frozen for some time. I suppose my main disappointment was the fact that all the meat we purchased was frozen & we were never able to see what was inside these packages. This was $$$$ lesson. 2 stars was for the sausage; it was a good mix. I'm guessing if one were to buy an Arnold's "package deal" that the meat was meant to be frozen into portions for to be sold??? read more
