If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I went to the Notary Shop to complete a title transfer on a vehicle that I was selling. The notary was there to complete this after business hours, and her husband showed up to wait for/with her. At the time, I was uncertain if he worked for this business, but upon further research, realized he is the State Farm agent associated with The Notary Shop. What transpired during our title transfer was nothing short of an embarrassment on their behalf. We were merely there to conduct a business transaction with the buyer of my car, not to discuss politics. In a completely unwarranted and unnecessary remark, the notary's husband sat smugly behind the desk wearing a MAGA hat and incited a conversation asking us about whether we were "surviving and rejoicing about the recent election results." It was definitely not the time nor the place to shove unwarranted political views or opinions down the throat of a client and a total stranger. Had the buyer of my car not already paid for services, I would have walked out and completed the title transfer elsewhere. To her credit, the notary did try to silence him. I think she realized how completely unprofessional and unwarranted the entire conversation was. We will not be returning in the future.
