Installed vinyl flooring through out my condo including the bathroom which was installed over tile flooring. They did a great job or so I thought until my bathroom flooring started to come up and Crack o lying a year later.. I reached out to him on a Friday I was told to call back Monday and he will set up a day to look at the floor and replace it. That Monday I called no response no call back I have reached out several times with no response back. It obvious he has no intention on standing behind his work or returning my calls. Tri Star Flooring LLC installed my hardwood floors back in 2016 6 months later it all went down hill from there major gapping in floor cracking and bowing of the floor I called him to come and take a look he came and said it was within industry standards and I replied would you want this floor in your home and he would not reply to my question he told me to put a humidifier in my heating system with my own money and I got angry and he said for me to take him to court instead of him trying to fix my floor he disappeared so I put the humidifier in and of course it Dident work no surprise there do not use him he is a scam artist that doesn't take pride in his work. Tri Star Flooring just wants to take peoples hard working money and run.i paid top dollar for my floor that it looks like crap it's the first thing my guest notice in my brand new house the floor looks awful. read more

Tri Star flooring is a very professional and wonderful company. We had 2 rooms that needed new flooring and 3 rooms that needed to be sanded and stained to match the new floors. They were very clean almost no dust at all and always on time. Our finish product looks amazing and I wish I would have done it sooner. We were able to still live in the house while everything was being done. Almost no smell! I highly recommend this company to anyone that wants wood flooring and just wants to have there old ones redone. read more

I am not posting the pictures of the lousy job because they are so bad, I don't want to put anyone out of business. I had my house done in 2 parts because I couldn't move all the furniture out. The first time they did a decent job. The second time it was a horrible. I requested to go under the molding and they didn't even go up to it. There was a 1/2 inch gap. Also the wood splintered in at least 20 places. I don't know if they hit it to hard because it was the same batch of wood as the previous job and none of that splintered. I gave them a 2 instead of a 1 because Ron did send someone to come back and did the hall over and replaced the splintered pieces. Maybe he came back because I told him I cancelled payment on the check until it was repaired.i still find a lot of splinters and called Ron and he said he would get back to me. They are busy. In the mean time I had another company come and resand the entire job and refinish it. I got prefinished hardwood Oak which I would never recommend because it dents easily. read more

We hired Tri-Star Flooring for our home to sand and re-stain the existing hardwood floors that had been installed in 1998. Thought it would be a straightforward job, but that wasn't the case. The pictures speak for themselves. After spending close to $8,000, these weren't the floors we were expecting. Polyurethane beads are all over the floors. When asked why this occurred, they gave every excuse, including the sun shining from the windows, contractors walking on the floors, and the floors being partially covered, despite it being more than eight months after they completed the job. While it's true that we had contractors in the house after the floors were re-stained, it was only after waiting the suggested time period Tri-Star recommended. In the end, they offered to come fix the situation by scrubbing all the hardwood floors with paint thinner, which removed some of the poly, but there was still a lot left. They argued with us about it, and left without finishing the job. We called and the owner came on site, ultimately offering to reimburse us for the cost of fixing the floor by another company. An estimate by another company was $1,700, but Tri-Star offered to pay us only $395. So, no, I can't recommend Tri-Star flooring. read more

They are great. They did 8 houses on our block in Bergen County, NJ, all referred from one to the other. Each home owner is more demanding than the next and to get all these referrals means they are really good. We have worked with other flooring contractors in the past and know how good these guys are because they are so much better than the others we have used. Our floors are as smooth as ice now with an incredibly consistent finish. When the project ran over due to delays on our end, they were very patient regarding completion and the final payment, they just wanted us to be happy with their work. All of their installers were professional and trustworthy, which is important because they were alone in our home at times. read more

If you are thinking of doing/redoing floors in your house you can STOP LOOKING around and hire Tri Star right now. We purchased a new home and redid the floors throughout. Upstairs there was wall to wall carpet, now there is beautiful hardwood with a gorgeous natural stain on it - It is spectacular. Downstairs was an engineered-wood floor. We needed to stay with that material and it only had a thin layer left on it but they performed an impossible task and were able to sand and stain it and it looks absolutely fantastic. The work crew was on time, curteous, efficient, professional and did an amazing job. Mike, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Always answering our calls (and there were a lot), finding solutions to any concerns we had and just a real no-nonsense, professional business owner. The price was fair and the work was above and beyond our expectations. We are so grateful to have found them and would hire them again in a heartbeat.
