Tri Star Flooring LLC installed my hardwood floors back in 2016 6 months later it all went down hill from there major gapping in floor cracking and bowing of the floor I called him to come and take a look he came and said it was within industry standards and I replied would you want this floor in your home and he would not reply to my question he told me to put a humidifier in my heating system with my own money and I got angry and he said for me to take him to court instead of him trying to fix my floor he disappeared so I put the humidifier in and of course it Dident work no surprise there do not use him he is a scam artist that doesn't take pride in his work. Tri Star Flooring just wants to take peoples hard working money and run.i paid top dollar for my floor that it looks like crap it's the first thing my guest notice in my brand new house the floor looks awful.

Tri Star flooring is a very professional and wonderful company. We had 2 rooms that needed new flooring and 3 rooms that needed to be sanded and stained to match the new floors. They were very clean almost no dust at all and always on time. Our finish product looks amazing and I wish I would have done it sooner. We were able to still live in the house while everything was being done. Almost no smell! I highly recommend this company to anyone that wants wood flooring and just wants to have there old ones redone.

I'm very happy we went with Tri Star. Mike took the time with us to go over different samples and what would work best in my old home. He came by the house more than once during renovations to check in with us. The crew was on time and didn't stop working, they did an awesome job. Glad we listened to him, floors feel and look great !

My wife and I wanted to update the floors of our newly purchased, 70 year old house to 4" white oak…read morefloors. The job was somewhat time sensitive because we wanted to start it immediately after closing and move in ASAP so we could start selling our previous place. We reached out to several flooring contractors and they were either slow to respond or gave us absurdly high quotes. Viking Wood Floors were the most responsive, easy to communicate with, and reasonably priced. Since we were still living an hour away, Kirk made sure to update us via text with pictures. He was also happy to let in our plumber to do a water heater replacement and bring in packages for us as needed. At one point, it turned out there was some miscommunication where the stair treads were refinished instead of replaced. Despite the miscommunication being my fault, Kirk was happy to get it done in time without charging us for finishing the treads again. Everything wrapped up just in time and the floors look great. They are ultra smooth and flat. Places that look tricky (through closet walls) look seamless. Thanks!

The staff working in my home are thorough, neat and precise. They do not take any shortcuts to get the job done. Kirk has a staff that is loyal and thorough. I have been treated with the utmost of care by all the employees working in my house. All personal items are carefully handled as though they belonged to them. Working in a home that is fully furnished makes the job more challenging. Once phase 2 is completed, I will post an update and let you know what the result is. I am certain I will be as happy as I was with phase 1. Working with Kirk has been a most rewarding experience. He is definitely concerned about products and the level of work that is performed in a home. Viking Wood Floors is the best in the field. You will so happy to work with them.

This was the second time I've used Monk's for painting projects at my home in Morris Plains, and…read moreonce again I was extremely happy with the results. The first project, several years ago, involved painting multiple interior rooms and crown molding. Most recently, I hired them to paint three new structural porch columns and my front door. While that may sound like a straightforward job, it really wasn't. Black structural columns are not something you see every day, so preparation, product selection, and attention to detail were critical to getting the look I wanted and ensuring the finish would hold up to the elements. Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. What really stood out was the follow-up. Both Bob and Ron checked in independently after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. They also made it clear that if any issues came up, they would come back and make it right. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding from start to finish. It's refreshing to work with a company that still takes pride in doing quality work and standing behind it. I plan to use Monk's again next year for additional interior painting projects and would not hesitate to recommend them.
