After the shoddy installation by this company we detailed earlier, the situation has gotten even worse. With usual wear, the carpet has pulled away from all the doorways (3) which were installed and in addition to the very obvious inferior seam work, these entrances look terrible and the room appears even worse. read more

Excellent experience ordering my floors for a NYC apartment. Contacted the manufacturer to see who sells my chosen floor and was given a list of dozen retailers in nyc area. Lynne was impeccable in her customer service. She followed up promptly to my queries ( which were probably ridiculously too many); patiently provided suggestions; honored their price even though my GC held me off for a while on the order; not only did not oversell the quantity but advised me on how to properly order; delivery was as promised and now I just can't wait to see the floors finished. Stay away from Amazing Flooring. They treat you with NO respect. Don't return phone calls abrupt & nasty, now I know Why they have so many bad reviews. They installed carpeting in 3 bedrooms and they all buckled within a few months. Hamid came to look at it and said his favorite 3 words "It's the weather" after asking him serval times to come back and stretch it he said to me in October "I'm very busy call me the first week in December. We could not wait at least 8 weeks as it was getting worse so we went elsewhere and paid $600 to have it stretched Which included moving of our heavy furniture. I called Hamid the owner & told him how disappointed me & my wife were in him and after he found out we went elsewhere he hung up on me mid sentence. This is how you conduct business? He should be embarrassed of himself and the way he runs his business. So please don't waste your time w Amazing Flooring and go elsewhere you will be much happier. read more

We had same experience as Katy. terrible!!!, Hope I can rate them -0 Irresponsible company. they won't do what they said once u pay your deposit. if there ever a problem they won't ever call you back.! They totally mess-up my floor, my master bedroom was buckle up so badly after couple months when weather got little warmer, I had to hire other contractor to replaces my entire bedroom floor. Thanks god they only did my bedrooms not other area. I cant imagine if Amazing floor install my entire apt I would go nuts! if you want to spend your wood floor twice hire them! :( read more

After a burst sprinkler ruined the engineered wood floors in our condo, we looked at several companies to fix them. We stopped at Amazing Flooring because they were close by. After speaking with Lynne, their business manager, we decided they were the best option. She was knowledgable and didn't try to up sell us to something we didn't need. Because of insurance issues, we couldn't get the job started for several months, but Lynne stayed with us the whole way, checking in and offering advice on how to get things moving forward. (She's an expert at the insurance process.) When we finally could start the job, Lynne made a crew available. They were prompt, hardworking, and professional. Because of the water damage removing the old floors was very difficult, but the crew still finished the job on time and budget. The owner stopped by every day to check on the job. Our floors look, well, amazing. (We replaced 3-inch natural maple with a more modern, wider and darker 5-inch Flint Maple from Mohawk.) I highly recommend Amazing Flooring if you're in the NYC or Northern New Jersey area. They've been around for over 25 years, I believe that says a lot. read more

If we could give 0 stars, we would. We have used Amazing Flooring in the past and although the experience was average, we decided to try again. BIG MISTAKE! We carpeted 3 bedrooms and a few months later all 3 bedroom carpets were buckled. When we called Hamid (the owner) in October to complain and arrange for the carpets to be stretched, he blamed it on the weather and said, "I don't have time for you until the first week in December." We called several more times over the next few weeks to see if he had any cancellations and he always responded no and that he was always too busy. His demeanor was always nasty and abrupt. He finally said, "I don't have time for you. I only have time for paying customers!" We could not wait (at least) 2 months because the carpet was getting worse and starting to lift at the seams. We ended up having to find another company to correct Amazing Flooring's work. We were very, very upset because Hamid did not stand by his product and we had to pay over $600.00 to have the carpet stretched in each room. The last phone call we made was to tell tell him our disappointment and that we had brought our business elsewhere. He angrily said, "Good bye and good luck" and hung up the phone mid-conversation. Hamid is the owner of Amazing Flooring; you would think his first priority would be good communication and happy, satisfied customers...especially loyal ones. No. Save yourself headaches and dealings with a nasty, disgruntled store owner and go somewhere else. Amazing Flooring is far, far from amazing. read more

This small company gives personalized, customized service that I have not received from bigger companies. The staff's calming demeanor and prompt response reduce the stress of a renovation project. The wood flooring was installed perfectly. I was able to trust this company with the keys to my home, so that the project could be done in my absence. Previously, this company fixed problems created by a different flooring company. I recommended this company to a friend, who was so happy with the results that she thanked me profusely. read more

I thankfully had a very different experience than the other reviewers with Amazing Flooring. I ordered my flooring through Lynn who was very receptive and responsive throughout the process of ordering/setting up delivery. I was also able to meet the owner Hamid who was very knowledgable. Lynn provided me updates throughout the whole process and answered every annoying/eager phone call I made to her! She also coordinated the delivery straight with my contractor which was a big help to me. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Amazing Flooring again although I hope my Mirage flooring will last for a very long time! read more

After reading the prior reviews in Yelp, we were cautious about working with Amazing Flooring, but they had the best quotes for the mirage floor we wanted and were on mirage's website as an authorized dealer. Lynn was professional and got us the wood within a reasonable time. We were very pleased with the result. We also had a flood unfortunately a year later and amazing flooring once again provided us with the best prices to replace our wood. I would recommend working with them again. read more

We had the worst experience ever with Amazing Flooring and Lynn. I would like to give it ZERO star is I can. When I checked this forum a few months ago, there were a few other bad reviews similar to my experience, and curiously all disappeared somehow. Our floor purchase with Amazing Flooring was the most stressful experience during our renovation. WARNING - DO NOT USE AMAZING FLOORING. We even had to engage an attorney and threatened lawsuit before getting our floors/delivery fee refund. This all started last summer when we were shopping for Mirage wood floor. We called around, and Amazing Flooring/Lynn was the most responsive and had the cheapest price. For some reason, they were also listed as a designated distributor for Mirage so we thought we were safe. We went to their store, and paid in cash for the floor to get a further discount. Lynn was amazingly nice up until the deal closed. We were promised that we would get our floors before Labor Day weekend and that we would get a call from Lynn once they are ready to schedule for delivery. That never happened. Episode #1 - For Arrival: For several weeks after Labor Day weekend, we called/emailed Amazing Floor. It took my husband and I (calling from different numbers) for Lynn to even pick up the calls. The excuse was always the truck is late, stuck at Canada border etc. The stories were never consistent and confusing (the truck driver is on vacation, oh he didn't take vacation last week because his wife couldn't take off, but then he took it anyway). It was becoming increasingly stressful as the weeks go by, not only because we were delayed on our reno project, but also because after some time we actually feared that we were not going to get the floors and that the whole thing could be a scam. Lynn was rude, non-responsive, and either really confused or lied, (telling me she texted me but texted the wrong number, but that would be immediately after she picked up my call from my cell phone on her cell). We then ended up soliciting the help of Mirage (manufacture) and threatened law suit. Eventually, weeks later our floor arrived at their warehouse. Episode #2 - Pickup: Even after the floors arrived at their warehouse, they couldn't schedule a delivery because of issues with their delivery guy. We said fine, our contractor will come pick it up. Lynn's response was then she doenst know when they can move the floors from their warehouse to the store for the pick up, and that we couldn't pick up directly from their warehouse (because it just dosent work like that). Thats another few weeks of going back and forth tracking her down and asking Mirage to help us. Finally, we were able to pick up our floors after the significant delay. Episode #3 - Delivery Fee Refund: Since we picked up ourselves, we were entitled to a $325 delivery fee refund, which according to Lynn would be sent to us in a week (thats a week after 9/26/2014). A month later, I was still trying to track her down not having received the check. In November 2014, they sent us a receipt of a money order. Then months of waiting and calling, having unpleasant conversations with Lynn. In Jan 2015, we reached out to Mirage again to help us. To end this long story, we finally received the money order in Feb 2015, when it was promised to us in Sept 2014. This was our experience with Amazing Flooring. I cannot comment on the legitimacy of the business, but certainly have doubts, and definitely the lack of professionalism. There were a few other similar experiences to ours that was on yelp, and for some reason disappeared. When we were at the store, there was another lady that came into the store really pissed off at Lynn and squatted there. We thought she was just a crazy lady, but now I understand she probably had another similar experience as well. read more
