Since Steve is no longer the owner I cannot recommend anyone service their gear at this Dive Shop…read more I overlooked one mishap a year before with this shop but this recent incident is unacceptable! I had my regulator serviced before my trip to the Seychelles, when they ( Choo Choo Dive Center) called telling me it was ready to be picked up, I asked what all did they do and was told replaced O rings and checked everything out. I replied great I will come and pick it up. I trusted them at their word and paid my bill. Being this is my life support having faith in who service's your equipment is a big deal. On my first dive I noticed one gage needed to be tightened and was leaking air if turned too much to the right on so of course I was cautious throughout that dive and showed my guide while under water so we could address leak back on land. The second dive is when everything went south. I dumped my air to descend and since I was a bit over weighted ( purposely due to a new 3 mm wetsuit ) I added a bit of air to level off and quickly noticed I had to dump air again and again I then felt my inflator vibrating and had to dump air constantly throughout the dive. I had the guide feel the hose to show what I was dealing with as watching my air I knew this was going to end my dive sooner than expected. When I got too low on air I called the dive. This was annoying especially on Nitrox as we had planned for much more bottom time. On the boat ride back we made certain to dump all the air out of the BC and left the tank on just to see how bad the leak was, by the time we were almost back to land the BC was about to burst. I then turned off the tank and was so embarrassed especially when I told everyone on the boat I had just taken my gear in for service before this trip. Anyway thank goodness for a well trained and equipped shop run by Blue Safari !!!!on Alphonse island. When we got back and rinsed everything I came back after lunch so we could examine my equipment. As we started looking at my regulator we immediately saw it was NEVER!!! Serviced!!!! In was so obvious by scraping my fingernail I could see a bit of goop on my nail and this was every connection. This is absolutely unacceptable!!! It it weren't for an absolute first rate dive shop and staff a trip that I had planned for for over a year could have gone much differently. I am posting this honest and severe review in hopes that Choo Choo dive center will never let this happen to anyone again. There's nothing more that I want to do than support my local dive shop sadly until they do better I will definitely be either going direct through the manufacturer or using Alpha Divers in Knoxville as they bent over backwards getting my children certified and are getting much better reviews. Grateful that my dive was saved and hope this posts saves someone else's dream vacation from ruin.

Facilities are well maintained and easily accessible with any car. Some of the best attractions: Paddlefish, full-size school bus, sharks (not actual sharks...), nesting bluegill, and all sorts of interesting stuff. Cost is slightly higher than most other quarries in the area, but you get what you pay for. Expect to pay 25-35 per person based on amount of tanks needed. 10/10 would recommend.

If you need a tank refill, he comes down every so often to gather them and brings them back to you. He is making improvements as he can so I expect this place will get a lot better over the years. There aren't showers or a bathroom but he does have very clean port-a-potty for use. I noticed most of the people come out with cooler and grill to make it a full day trip. Just a good bunch of people hanging out, having fun and diving. Don't forget to see the paddlefish while there!

I'm switching all my gear to aqua colors. They had a lot of gear and are an aqualung dealer, which was also a great surprise to me! I love aqualung and I needed a dealer to order a part that fell off of my regulator. I am looking forward to seeing them more often and hope to finally do my dive master course with them in the future.

Doug the instructor guided and helped my 14 year old son get his open water certification after my son discovered scuba diving while we were on vacation in Cozumel and dove there for the first time. Caleb said his instruction was thorough and smooth and he enjoyed the entire process of classroom and pool dives. Doug and Dive Educators helped us complete the certification by allowing my son to do his 4 open water dives while on vacation in Aruba which was very convenient for our needs. We are excited because now my son can dive with me whenever we travel and plan on doing the scuba experience at Georgia aquarium. I was super nervous starting out, but he was patient, never rushed anything, and even took the time to show extra tips that helped a lot once I got out of the pool. It felt more like learning from a friend than a strict instructor. I did my OW and AOW dives with Howard, and he was great as well. During my OW weekend, I was still struggling a bit with buoyancy, and he didn't have to, but he even did an extra dive with me to work on PPB just so I could feel more confident. My first time in the ocean was with him too, and he always took the time to teach beyond the bare minimum. Shoutout to Stefan and James, who were also on some of my dives -- super helpful with little tips along the way. I started off nervous about diving and ended up with a new hobby and some new dive buddies. Highly recommend Dive Educators -- they genuinely care.
