The facilities are quite nice - 21 outdoor courts, with ~16 of the courts being lit for night play. It's right on the water, so if you're on the front 8 courts, you also have a wonderful distraction - looking over the river. The soundtrack here is tennis balls being hit and sounds of water crashing on the shore. Many tournaments are held here and a few leagues. The clubhouse is quite nice, just a hallway on the 1st floor, but lots of seating on the 2nd floor with windows out to the bleachers and views of all the courts. There aren't indoor courts, so can't do much on the rainy days here, but otherwise - it's a nice place all around. The challenge is finding the right address. (The one used here @ 1600 Lupton is what Champions Club puts on their mail - and gets you closest to the courts when using gmaps - at the end of Dixie Drive)

Yesterday I was at the club and to my disappointment I was extremely badly treated by your receptionist. When I arrived I said I wanted to join, she simply threw the folder on the counter and went to see another customer. I was waiting. When she finished with another client she gave me a scornful look and I said I needed a pen. As I sat down and started reading about how the club works and fees, the receptionist started screaming, yes screaming, I felt like I was inside a mc Donald's. When I turned around, startled, she said she needed my credit card. I asked why. She said to make sure I could pay for club membership. I felt extremely offended. I believe I have been a victim of prejudice for being from another country. Because the other customer who was American was very well treated. Xenophobia, racism are a crime. After... When I sent a message to the manager/director explaining what happened, he just apologized for what happened and said that the reception has a lot of work and he would like to apologize for the receptionist not giving me the attention I expected. However when my husband sent a message introducing himself, we received a response with a huge explanation, countless apologies, and even promises. I recommend everyone of different ethnicity to stay away from this club.

In his defense, Steven A. must have seen the Tennessee Tennis Club & Academy sign, which caused him to incorrectly identify the business that shares an entryway with TTCA. I've heard positive things about one of the tennis coaches, but don't have personal experience I can comment on. However, I will say, there are a group of ladies at this club who are flat out rude and horrible to play with. It's never ok for anyone to talk down to another player. These ladies think they can. They make immature comments and exhibit poor sportsmanship. Staff does nothing. I'd never recommend this club. There are other awesome tennis facilities in Knox. Don't bother with these people.
