Saturday deciding best way get mind off race day with the support crew. Do escape room! I never done escape room in life. So not sure if best way to chill or relax mind from every race day worry. Half the crew done one and say lot of fun so why not. I admit really not much of teammate helping out. They offer two different playing moods. Since race weekend plus Sarah like news do competitive mood. The harder of two mood options. So we only started with one clue. I never realize amount of stress these things can be. We had two options to choose from. I remember correctly the one pick harder of the two. I based on 10point scale. The room we did was 8. It cool they have chalkboard out front fastest times of the day or might go by all time. It tricky spot find but worth it. It on second floor, not much signs, and if anything look for flight stairs take up to the entrance. The employees are awesome. No doubt five stars. So much fun!! We did the Sabotage 1944 which is modeled after a vintage train station. The gamemaster told us this was their medium hard room, but I would definitely say it's much harder than we thought it would be. Like a previous reviewer said, it's slightly frustrating to find things at the very beginning that you don't need to use until the very end. This room had quite a few hidden gems to it, including a secret room that you have to crawl into!! By the end of our time we definitely felt like we were in the 1940'a solving this mystery. We made an impromptu visit to the Chattanooga location and it was about 1.5 hours til closing. Upon arriving, Taylor greeted us with a smile and a cheerful greeting. We were worried we wouldn't have enough time to reserve a room and she assured us that we had perfect timing and proceeded with giving us our options. In the meantime, as she fixed our room up a pair of rudely (and late) pre planned customers walked in after us and demanded a refund because THEY scheduled the wrong location, were tired and did I mention they were late! Taylor handled the situation very empathetic and professionally. Soon after the rude customer encounter she got us settled in our room and we began our adventure! We were 2 adults and 3 children (ages 8,12 & 15) and completed the Christmas room, we laughed so much and created wonderful memories here!! Will definitely be coming back! read more

I have been to a few escape rooms just with my husband, and we understand it can be very challenging to escape with a team of only two. Nonetheless it's usually a pretty fun date night to work together, challenge ourselves and laugh afterwords. This time though I felt like escaping from the "Locker room lockdown" in a team of two, was probably impossible. We were not very happy with how everything played out in the end and I made a complaint. Im giving 3 stars because the manager followed up very timely to apologize and offered a voucher for us to try it again. I feel like that was the right thing to do and I appreciate it. We will go back but we will definitely make sure we get more information about each room to find which ones are doable in a team of two. I also think it would be a good idea to either tailor the experience for couples x bigger groups. Or perhaps add some notes to the description recommending the minimum number of people for each room. read more

Solid facility with two rooms and more on the way. Time to Escape is getting a facelift. They used to be Quest to Escape, which is still on some signs and marketing materials, so know that the two are one in the same. They are definitely upping their game with new rooms in progress. Their current rooms, Sabatoge and Locker Room Lockdown, provide a fun experience with some creative twists. We walked in on a Monday afternoon and were greeted by the friendly and helpful Eric who helped us schedule both rooms with just the two of us playing. We always appreciate this, but remind everyone that this should by no means be expected. Paid street parking was available and there is a small lot next to the facility. There's a small but welcoming lobby with merch and water available with puzzles to play while you wait. Both rooms had solid production and puzzle design. Both rooms are family friendly, though may pose some challenges to those who are physically limited - check with the gamemasters before booking. Overall, gamemasters Eric and Maggie were helpful, enthusiastic, and seemed to really enjoy what we do, which we always love to see. Our first room was Sabatoge, which required four hints and we didn't technically escape because in our final puzzle (which unlocked the door) we had two tiles switched as our time ran out. But, we got to experience the entire room, so that's a win. The room is train/spy themed, which is a lot of fun. We had some puzzle issues: There was a heavy reliance on jigsaw style puzzles which got a little old, we feel they may have over-complicated a crypto puzzle, and there could be improvements in the order clues are discovered - it's frustrating to find clues early on that aren't used until much, much later. Despite these critiques, this room is still solid overall and worth a go. Time to Escape's best room by far is Locker Room Lockdown. They did something we have never seen before: One person, the coach, is locked in a cage for most of the game with his/her own puzzles to solve and some puzzles which require teamwork. This was a very fun challenge! Note that with two people, your "not-coach" is going to have a LOT to do on their own, so it's best to choose that person who runs around like crazy for this role (in our case, Jules) and your deep-thinker for the coach (Chris). The only confusion we had was on the very last clue, and it turns out our gamemasters had switched out mid-game so our new one wasn't entirely sure where we were. We lost a few minutes on that but no big deal, we escaped with time to spare having genuinely enjoyed the room. As they undergo their upgrade, Time to Escape could easily become a five-star facility in the near future. In the meantime they are still very much worth a visit, especially for Locker Room Lockdown. In all honesty, very unprofessional. To many ways for customers to mess the hints up and then employees have to come in every few minutes to fix the room. Not a good experience at all. We have done so many escape rooms, and Escape Experience Chattanooga is the best experiences we've had and very professional. This one has a lot of potential, but needs more professionalism and details for their customers. However, employees here are very friendly and have a good sense of humor! The whole room was in need of repair. Some of the clues were on paper that needed to be thrown away. Pretty bad puzzle wise and not thought out. Also very linear thinking. Will not be back. Most of everything was broken and they advise you to not touch any live wires which should be completely hidden. read more

We did the Sabotage Chattanooga 1944 room on Saturday. So fun and interesting. Great room and wonderful game master - very personable and helpful. There was a glich with a prop but we worked through it together! Great time. We went back on Sunday for the Secret Agent room. While the room was great the game master was so off putting, rude, and conescending. She mentioned that people had a problem with the phone the day before and said it was probably operator error. She didn't realize it was us. I was turned off immediately. We were given flashlights that didn't work and clues that didn't relate to our game progress. The clock ran out and she burst into the room and said, "you loose!". She further said she had signs for losers to take pictures with but we immediately walked out without a word. She ruined an otherwise great game room. We have done approximately 30 escape rooms and she just sucked the fun out of it. We will go back to complete the room but not if she is there. read more
