We are very much in agreement with that form of medicine (Blue Zones), which looks for cause, rather than throwing a pharmaceutical at the symptom, and looks for natural ways and supplementation to heal the body! We are quite happy so far. We've had no problem reaching the appointment desk and scheduling appointments. The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!

It's been my experience, that doctors are not thinking of their patients needs, but how many test they can put you through, I believe that's how they make some of their money. Dr. Z (Zickafoose) is my Primary and she was referred to me by a good friend. I have never been so happy as I am with this super professional and kind practice. My last doctor, stared at his computer and never really acknowledged me. And it was always a rushed appointment it seems.... TELE visits were a 3 minute phone call. Danielle Contreras, NP was very thorough with my TELE visit and she did it via video conference, I was so happy I didn't have to drag myself out of bed and she took her time. All my messages are answered promptly and thoroughly. I'm very pleased & impressed with this system. I am overjoyed to be under her care again. She's very kind and compassionate as before. The staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Kathy and Emma. We're always met with a smile and taken right away for our appointments, never have an issue with referrals, prescriptions, or getting results. The only positive I can honestly note is that the wait time was short and we were seen quickly. Unfortunately, the care we received after that was very concerning. My daughter was seen for a significant infection, and we followed the treatment plan exactly as prescribed. However, I have serious concerns that the antibiotic prescribed may not have been adequate for the severity of her condition, as her infection worsened in the following days. She ultimately had to be admitted to the hospital for several days for further treatment, where the hospital confirmed, she was given an improper dosage of antibiotics and also poor post-care instructions. As a parent, it was incredibly distressing to feel like things were not improving despite following medical instructions carefully. Communication and follow-up felt limited, and I left feeling uncertain about the level of attention given to her condition. I'm sharing this because I would strongly caution other families--especially those with children dealing with infections or urgent conditions--to seek a second opinion or consider other urgent care options. Based on our experience, I would not return.

It breaks my heart that I have to come back and update a once glowing testimony about this place…read morebut after being an established patient at this office for primary care I now am being left on a back burner and having my needs ignored. What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me.

I couldn't handle the no sleep so called and luckily they were able to get me in last minute. I waited in the waiting room for less than 10 minutes, waited for the provider who came in less then 15 minutes afterwards, and was diagnosed with strep throat and with a sinus infection. After being given 5 prescriptions later, i got to go home with self care instructions. So far, this has been the easiest and best Urgent care I've been to in all of OC and Riverside county.

I went into carbon health urgent care today because I had cut my heel. The nurse practitioner who…read morestitched me up was very pleasant as were most everybody at the place. The problem I had with them was once I got home I noticed the dressing on my heel was not properly applied and I was concerned of possible infection. I wanted to go back into carbon health to get it redressed but I was told they close in 10 minutes at 6 PM. I guess they didn't want to hang out an extra 30 minutes and redress my wound. My wife and I had thought we found a good urgent care, but now it turns out we won't be going back. Personally, if it was my business, I would've stayed late and taken care of my customer the right way.
