It makes absolutely no sense. She is the consummate professional. She has a beautiful soul and leads with her whole heart. I cut my hair elsewhere (shoutout to Vivian at Bloouts down the street who gives the BEST cuts), but find it easiest with timing to get blowouts here following my colors. Unfortunately, I've had trouble finding a good stylist for blowouts. I went to Kate for many years, but once showed up for family pictures with my daughter. She took a look at my daughter's curls and said she had no time in her busy schedule (at the very time of our appointment), which I thought was really wrong to do an hour before photos. My daughter rocked her beautiful curls for photos, but it left a bad taste in my mouth so 2 years ago I moved on to Ji for my own blowouts. During my most recent hair appt I was running a few minutes late and they expedited my glaze so that I wouldn't be too late for Ji. I went downstairs to find her and she was busy with a client so I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her. Once she finished her client she rudely turned to me and she was out of time and would have to see me another time. After I complained they found me someone else, but the stylists really need to learn to stick to their schedules and work with the front desk if they need more time. I may continue to go here because I like Marissa, but if so it looks like I'm on the hunt once again for another stylist after color. I would love to walk down the streets to BloOuts, but difficult to time it right and walking in winter with wet hair isn't so fun.

First I want to say that this is probably my 4th visit here for a haircut & blowout and they are…read moreusually pretty good, at least 4 stars but this visit was bad My bangs were cut so so short and badly that it looks like I did it myself and messed it up completely. I specifically asked for my bangs to be below my eyebrows and she made a rookie mistake of cutting it at my eyebrows when wet. Anyone with bangs know that once dry, it gets a bit shorter. plus she didn't cut it evenly or symmetrically. In the attached pictures, one is a picture of the bangs I showed the stylist (of the bangs I wanted), the one that looks very short is the bangs I left with right after (she styled it with a round brush and dryer), and the third one is the next day after I washed my hair and combed it down- you can see it's not even straight or symmetrical.. thankfully this will grow out in about 3-4 weeks but it's devastating with the holiday season, Christmas is in a few days and New Years next week with lots celebrations and my hair will look like I cut and messed up my own bangs. the rest of my hair was decently cut - though when looking at it, it's hard for the eyes not to go to the bangs that were so obviously messed up. I would have been understanding if they told me they gave me a junior or student stylist and I wish she would have just told me she isn't comfortable cutting bangs as it would have been better if she just left it alone.
