The reason for the 4 stars is that my friend and I were in the store for a good ten minutes (it's not a giant store) and no one greeted or acknowledged us. There were three employees. Finally, a nice lady asked if we needed help with anything and we informed her and thanked her that she offered to help and then she was the first person to say some thing. She was visibly upset about that and informed us that she was the general manager and she was new. She immediately went to the other employees and said some thing to them, and I think they were all quite surprised. Bottom line when there's customers in your store an employee needs to say hello and ask if the customer needs any help that's basic 101.

A well stocked and widely varied selection of wines and other beverages. In a cozy wood paneled setting, screams 'INVITING'. They also have a sitting room/tasting room along with bar and TVs. Perfect for just hanging out and possibly for organized gatherings. This place oozes taste and sophistication but with down to earth practicality. Spoke with the granddaughter or a great granddaughter, working the register, of the originator of the business. Family institutions hold a place near and dear in my heart. And on top of that this seems to be the place to find just about anything you're looking for; if they don't have it I've got a strong feeling that the staff will help procure it. They just do home brewing supplies, equipment, ingredients for beer. Brewing books for beer, wine, and cider. Home brew kits for the beginner, and different ingredients for all types of beers that you might want to brew. If they do not have a specific hop or other ingredient, they can suggest an alternative to that ingredient that will be comparable, or order the one that you need/want. I found that their service and knowledge was exceptional, and that this comes from hands on experience in all types of brewing. If you are more advanced, they have kegging supplies so you can scale up if needed. I bought one of their Pale Ale pre-packaged kits for a 5 gallon home brew, and a specialty IPA that I will try after my initial journey in the beer brewing world. The kits can range from mid 30's to upper 40's, depending on the number of hops and other ingredients in them, so not a bad value for 5 gallons of beer. Their will be an initial investment that is not too bad with the brewing and bottling equipment that you need to start and finish your product, but the ROI would be captured after a few good successful beer brews. Expect a 2 week turnaround for each batch, and you are good. Also, have a list of friends that like fresh beer, because at 48-50 beers every couple weeks or so, you might need bigger pants, lol. But, good beer is still 9-12 bucks a six pack these days, so once you get the hang of it, I would imagine your budget will be in good shape.
