I like to joke and say, "same teeth, same dentist." My first memory of going to the dentist was going to see Dr.

I went to the Wainright & Wassel dental office on May 8, 2024 in hopes of having tooth 31…read morerecemented and tooth 5 evaluated for a crown. Three years ago Dr. Mark Wainright had recemented tooth 31 and in 2019 remade a crown for tooth 4.  Since I had had problems with both these teeth, I asked if I could have a price break for the upcoming work. I had done a Google search on crowns and was told they should last 3-5 years.  The crown on tooth 4 was a total waste of my money since it did not close the gap between my 3 & 4 teeth as I was told it would do.  Therefore I believed I had a legitimate cause to ask for a price break. I was seeing Dr. Matthew Wassel since Dr. Wainright had a long wait schedule. Instead of being willing to do my work, I was told that not only could they not recement tooth 31, but that I would also need a whole new crown due to some problem that did not make any sense to me.  The crown on 31 did not have a problem before and it was recemented.  I thought this was absurd and told them so.   For tooth 5, I was told I needed to have an X-ray.  When I said they had just done X-rays five months ago, I was then told they would need  pictures.  I disagreed with both and PLAINLY stated I was not paying for either.  I was then told they would need pictures and I agreed with the stipulation that it would be FREE!  I saw no need for pictures for the evaluation.  I had a mirror if I wanted to see the tooth and pictures were of no use to the dental office for evaluation purposes. I was then told they could place tooth 31, but with only temporary cement.  I told them this idea was insane.   Why would I want the tooth cemented on temporarily to then have to go to another dentist office and have them remove the crown to do it permanently? I left the office and went to see Dr. Christopher Powell later the same day, May 8, 2024 and he recemented the tooth permanently with no questions. There is probably the question as to why I did not complain about the crown on tooth 4 back when it happened?  Tooth 4 is a dental implant.  Doing more work on it could create even more problems.  I was trying to bend over backwards to be a "Nice Guy" in hopes I could stay in good relations with the dentist. My complaints to the dental board are: 1. Dr. Wainright told me he could close the gap between teeth 3 & 4 with a new crown and it did not. 2. Dr. Wassel refused to hear me, billing me for photos that were totally useless. 3. Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues and instead tried to cover it up by stating that tooth 31 had a problem and needed to be remade. 4.  Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues, refused to consider my complaints and instead penalized me with two behavior management charges.

I have general anxiety and they were both so lovely and truly care about their patient. And minimal pain yesterday and none today. And I'm beyond grateful they offer such reasonable pricing. BEWARE before you begin treatment with this clinic! After spending nearly 2,000.00 plus travel…read moreexpenses with Williams, Daily & Frazier, I was abandoned mid-treatment with no care plan in place whatsoever. I was told by Dr Frazier that I was in urgent need of a bone graft due to a previous injury to my front tooth which was capped and failing. It was explained to me that my bone was receding and that my extraction and bone/gum graft needed to be done "sooner than later". Over the course of 5 weeks, I twice travelled 3 hours each way incurring travel and hotel expenses and spent nearly 2,000 dollars on temporary inserts and scans deemed necessary by the clinic. On the day of the procedure, I was somewhat nervous (as anyone would be) and it took me some time after receiving Valium and Nitrous Oxide to get comfortable. After 50 minutes, I was told by Dr. Frazier that I was not ready for the procedure. Although I was nervous, I expressed plainly that I was comfortable moving forward. I was then told by Dr. Frazier that I was not "comfortable enough". I am a medical professional myself and any experienced physician or nurse understands the basic principle that comfort level and pain are subjective. Pain and comfort are to be stated and gauged by the patient, NOT the physician. Dr. Frazier then stated that he was not comfortable going forward with the procedure, with no further information given. I then left with no explanation, no subsequent appointment, no RX for antibiotics / infection control (with a current infection in the root and maxilla above my tooth), and no instruction or recommendation for pain control. Dr. Frazier did, however, give me several injections of Novocain, which caused incredible pain after wearing off that I was unable to control for several hours with OTC medication. Unbelievably, I was then allowed to leave the office ALONE after being given 10 mg of Valium and Nitrous Oxide for over 1 hour. This clinic is lucky that I did not have an accident or injury while awaiting my partner in the parking lot / road for ten minutes while sedated. Since last week, I have experienced significant pain, and my infection has continued to cause extreme discomfort. I finally called the office this week after no follow-up and was handed off to an office manager named Tess who again provided no detail or explanation, simply offering to refer me to another clinic (which I can clearly do myself). I must now begin this process from square one with another provider. It is shocking and frankly disturbing that a medical professional and licensed dental clinic would conduct business in this unethical manner. There is clearly a lack of experience, knowledge, and ethics within this practice. I have reported them to the ADA out of serious concern. Patient abandonment is considered a serious violation per the ADA code of nonmaleficence: 2.F. Patient Abandonment. Once a dentist has undertaken a course of treatment, the dentist should not discontinue that treatment without giving the patient adequate notice and the opportunity to obtain the services of another dentist. Care should be taken that the patient's oral health is not jeopardized in the process. I have reported this clinic to the ADA and will be filing a suit against them. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for treatment.

Last March 14, a big chunk of a filling (or maybe even the entire filling) came off on one of my teeth which just left a big gaping hole that was super painful. I couldn't eat or drink properly, but I understood that it was a Saturday night, and while it caused me so much pain, I didn't think it was enough to be called an emergency. I called the office and left a voicemail anyway, asking for a call back as soon as possible on Monday. Come Monday, I left another voicemail and called every 15 minutes from the time they open (7 AM) to around 9 AM. I emailed them as well, but I did not get any answer at all, not even an acknowledgement. I thought maybe they closed because of Covid-19, but none of their website and Facebook page seemed to indicate so. I wanted to get my tooth fixed as soon as possible, so I decided to go get it fixed at another place which answered IMMEDIATELY and was able to squeeze me in on the same day. The next day (March 17), I get an email from them saying that they've decided to close their office, and I STILL did not get any call backs or email responses even though they clearly had the time to send out the notice. I am so disappointed and I am absolutely never going back to this place. A few days ago, a part or the filling for another tooth (different tooth from the one I got fixed at another place) fell out, but thankfully it wasn't the part that covered the hole. Still though, 4 months after getting my fillings done and all these already happened? It sounds like just a plain sloppy job to me.
