I signed up for the 6 week challenge and decided one day later that I wanted to back out of it. The initial meeting was a manipulation to get people to sign up and pay them a check of over 500$. Per NC law, you are allowed to back out of this kind of agreement within 3 days of the initial sign up. I tried to back out and was stonewalled on the phone and subsequently treated with hostility by Molotov's wife, Greer when I went into the club in person. They refused to refund me and I ended up just cutting my losses rather than fight them on it. I have no doubt they are excellent Krav Maga instructors but if you prefer to spend your limited time on this earth meeting good people rather than snakes and bullies, you should consider a different club. read more

I found out about this place via Groupon, and absolutely loved my Krav Maga level 1 classes! I was nervous about what it would be like when I went to my first class, but I enjoyed it so much that I kept returning. The instructors are very inclusive, and in my first class, Jamie made everyone feel welcome and comfortable by telling us to all partner with people we hadn't met before. I like that we often get right into working with others to practice punches and kicks, and appreciate having the instructors walk around and provide helpful tips on how to improve. Definitely looking to purchasing a membership in the near future! Other helpful information: - The place is located in a plaza with lots of parking available; there are two floors to it, but the Krav Maga level 1 classes are usually on the first floor - Make sure to bring gloves to protect your knuckles - The memberships can be expensive, but since they are for unlimited classes, if you intend to go to at least 2 classes/week, then it's more worth it (in my opinion). There's a student discount available, but you're still shelling out quite a bit for membership, especially if your college gym offers plenty of free fitness classes already -- the main reason I'm still debating whether or not to buy a membership. read more

What a fun event tonight at Krav Maga. I've always wanted to try this and am so glad I got the chance to tonight. I've always thought if someone was to attack me, I would be able to run away or kick them off but tonight showed me that without the proper skills and techniques, it's harder then one might think! So glad we learned some cool and helpful techniques tonight so that we could kick butt and defend ourselves (if needed)! What a great workout too! I was exhausted and got adrenaline pumping at the same time afterwards. And Molotov and his team had the perfect balance of making it fun, funny and serious when they needed it to be. I signed up for 3 months of Krav Maga on 2/6/20 for $500. This was after one of the owners, Greer, had reassured me on several occasions that if I had an injury I would be refunded and not forced to continue on. This was a concern of mine due to the violent nature of the course and the fact that I am a petite woman and it is almost entirely men participating. I signed up on 2/6/20 and attended a level one class on 2/6/20. The class was comprised of only men and myself. I was knocked into a wall by a man 4 times my size and I left with a wrist injury from another exercise, not to mention emotional distress. I reached out to them 4 times for a refund because I am physically unable to continue. I was ignored and brushed off and then asked to wait it out and continue classes afterward. After the fifth communication via their Facebook page, a person who identified as the owner told me that what Greer told me about refunds was not true. And despite being injured after the first class, they would not refund the $500. I was refused a refund after an injury despite the co-owner Greer sharing with me on several that I would be refunded if an injury occurred. I am asking for a full refund of the $500. I am physically unable to take these classes. After this experience, I can see why this business has a BBB rating of F. I'd recommend taking classes elsewhere. read more

As we all know some material can be boring as heck, but Molotov turned the concealed carry training course into something enjoyable. His firearms back ground, Krav Maga history and fresh approach make him an excellent teacher and if you are looking for a place to take the required class in order to get your concealed carry or just interested in learning more about fire arm safety I highly recommend you take it at Triangle Krav Maga. The facility is great with a central location to all parts o the triangle, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I have not taken a Krav Maga class here but after the wonderful experience I had with these guys that is definitely on my list of things to do. read more

Last night I took the Level 1 Krav Maga class with a group of friends, taught by Molotov. I think it was a great class. I got a great workout in, and I learned a lot! The hour long class consisted of a warm-up (which was the most intense part: pushups, wheelbarrow pushups, crunches, jumping jacks, some stretching). Then there were some basic fighting techniques (punching form, etc). Then we did some gun attack stuff, which was actually pretty cool. The class ended up lasting about 75-80 minutes. Throughout the class, Molotov provided information on the history and philosophy of Krav Maga. If it's your first time, I would suggest bringing a friend. If you're a woman, I would suggest bringing a female friend (not a male significant other, or you could also make it a double date with another couple) - some of the activities, such as punching against a pad your partner is holding against his or her chest, or doing crunches while someone sits on your knees and pushes you down, might be difficult if there is a large disparity in strength between the two people. There was definitely some giggling (you know, giggling-in-the-face-of-death type giggling) that Molotov seemed annoyed with, but not annoyed enough to be rude in any way. He was also fantastic about answering our questions.. of which we had a lot! The complaints I had were super minor - they didn't seem to know how to charge us for the class (except in cash), and I would have liked a little more clarification on some things (for instance.. I have no idea what the slider on a handgun is, so dont tell me to grab it). With that being said, I thought it was a fantastic experience and worth checking out! I will definitely go back. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out a class. read more

Triangle Krav Maga offers best Krav classes in triangle area. I wanted to write a raving review the very first day I attended the class here, but held onto my horses for a month. Here's my experience so far. Classes: The classes are very intense. We start with stretching and cardio, then jump right into sparring and actual training with a partner and pad on real-life situations. All students are treated equally and taught well. Instructors: TKM has great instructors. Molotov, Jamie and Jon are very knowledgeable, supportive and approachable. I am a big fan of Molotov's and Jon's classes. Jon's classes have redefined Friday evenings to lot of us. If you are attending limited number of classes you should attend Molotov's class. He is a Krav Maga Guru and a great mentor [and he's very VERY funny]. Take away: Whether you have mastered the technique or not, when you leave the class, you leave with a change in perception, reception and response to fear. This is a biggest lesson that TKM offers. You are empowered and confident to face adverse situations. After a month of training I highly recommend Krav Maga and hiiiiighly recommend you learn it at TKM. I completed my 6-week challenge at TKM under Coach Erik. While I didn't lose all of the weight I wanted (I like the vino a bit too much), I crushed my earlier sit-up, push-up, and squat baselines that we did at the beginning. Coach Erik is fantastic, knowing just how much to push the class and individual. He's encouraging and patient. But he doesn't let you slack off. Dr. Gunther was also helpful in getting a diet plan for me. Since I completed the 6-week challenge, I'm now doing the Cardio Kickboxing class. If the last time you did a sit-up was when your evil coach in HS who mocked you in front of the football team told you to do one, then the 6 week challenge is a perfect intro into the more advanced classes. Coach Erik doesn't play around in the CKB classes! Also looking forward to doing Krav Lvl 1 classes as well. Finally maybe it was just a fluke, or maybe Molotov hires really good coaches, but the 6 week challenge class really gelled together and several of us are friends now on Facebook. I think that has a lot to do with the coach and the atmosphere of the gym. Highly recommend to my fellow mid-40's overweight IT workers out there. #beastmode! read more

I did the six week challenge and I just followed instructions of coach Erik and the diet plan that was given to me and I hit my goal! I lost 6.9% and over 21 lbs in 6 weeks, and I got stronger and educated as well in Krav Maga self defense. read more

I just completed my second 6-week cycle of TKMs Forever Fit Challenge! I'm 54, and a lifelong competitive athlete (equestrian). This program transformed me in ways that I really never thought possible. I am lighter, leaner, stronger, quicker, more powerful, and more aware. Molotov Mitchell and his instructors are truly gifted athletes and leaders, and many times they pushed me past my comfort zone in order to show me just how far my mind and body can take me. Had a great time at my first class. Alex, despite being relatively young, ran a great class. He was confident, helpful, and gave easy to follow instructions. Great anaerobic intensity from a workout standpoint. I can tell I'm going to enjoy Krav Maga in general because of its practicality, real-world (as opposed to tournament) application, and sheer physicality. No kid-stuff here. Alex had us learning techniques within the first half-hour, including simple choke defenses and emotional "on/off switch" exercises. The facility is nice, despite smelling like a well-used locker room after the class. The 16-20 of us in the room worked up a pretty good sweat, collectively. As a martial arts noob, I also appreciated the congenial and encouraging atmosphere. The more experienced students are friendly and eager to sub-coach you through the techniques. Price seemed a little steep at first, but that's just compared to your run-of-the-mill gym membership. It's pretty competitive when I put it up against other martial arts gyms, LA boxing, etc. Bottom line... I'm getting an annual membership. read more

I have been a student at Triangle Krav Maga for almost 16 months. In the beginning of 2017 I leveled up to Level 2 and really enjoy the new techniques I am learning. Great instructors and a good community. Krav Maga is perfect for all ages. I just turned 61 and can hold my own in class. This review is specifically for the Conceal Carry Handgun (CCH) Course. This class was absolutely fantastic! I've heard so many horror stories from friends and family members about how extremely boring CCH classes can be, so I put off taking it for a long time. I finally signed up and I am so glad I chose this one. Molotov and his staff were extremely helpful and informative, and I actually had a really fun time the whole day. Molotov has so much real-world experience in self-defense that he has a story for almost every law/rule/regulation that has to be taught during the course. Those stories and examples make learning not only more interesting, but also way more effective because you can recall the laws easier when you remember his examples. The written exam wasn't very difficult (everyone in my group passed), and then we went to the range. At the range I was pretty nervous, but Marquis did a great job of easing my anxiety. If you don't pass the first time they even let you reshoot right then and there. If you are in the Triangle area and looking to get your conceal carry permit, this is the course to take! read more

I've taken classes here for a little over a year-time for a review. Triangle Krav Maga teaches highly practical self defense/fighting techniques in an easily understandable manner. All of the instructors are great at breaking down each technique (choke defenses, basic striking, weapon defenses, etc) and providing individual instruction as needed to ensure all students get the most out of class. Each class has some conditioning, you will get a workout and be far less bored than running on the old treadmill. Nothing excessive though, you'll get out what you put in. The number of classes has increased 2 fold since I started here including additional day classes and earlier evening classes-you can find a way to fit it into your schedule and get your money's worth. Summary, great class, great instructors, great value. Classes are fun, informative, and focused on Krav. Take the $10 first class, get the Groupon, Yelp, or Livingsocial deal or just sign up. You won't regret it, especially if you ever need it. read more

I neglected to check mine and discovered to my amazement and dismay that I was being charged $50/month. Never signed anything authorizing this monthly charge to my card. I've been a member at TKM for almost one year now. I've come to expect that every class will be a challenge and that I will leave feeling exhausted but accomplished. There are no egos and no slack, but at the same time the instruction is positive and fun. The workouts can be intense. With a little consistency in attendance I've been able to get in the best shape I've even been in, have learned how to throw a decent punch, and I feel better than ever about my ability to defend myself or my family if needed. This is in reference to the concelaed carry class only. Instructor was rude to his employees more than once. Class was funny but some information was incorrect after doing some research after the class was over. He talked about Krav Maga a lot during the class and it was a little annoying considering we were there for a concealed carry permit class. (I guess you have to advertise whenever you can) Reshoot fee is $30 and there are other classes that do not charge that. If you miss one out of the required "hits" you have to do the whole shooting portion over from the beginning. So be aware of that if you do sign up and do some research to make sure that you get a class/instructor that is helpful and spends time teaching the correct info and not talking about martial arts. read more

I took a few Krav Maga classes back in India and decided to check TKM before I checked UNC, when I first moved here. After a few minutes of Molotov's class (with Derek Wade as my training partner) , I felt home . I didn't take as many classes as I would have ideally wanted to but I did learn a lot of useful techniques . I paid $275 for a 6 week women's fitness, I'm an Au Pair so I couldn't afford the full price of $350 so they gave me a discount. I went the first day as a baseline test, we didn't warm up before going into squats, push up, sit ups and pull ups. I ended up pulling my quad muscles as my muscles weren't warm plus it was a cold morning. I couldn't walk down stairs and found it hard to walk and it's limited me in my job so I couldn't do a lot of things. I emailed them asking for my money back as I only went for 1 session of a baseline, which mean they hadn't use the money to design a fitness plan yet. They refused to give my money back without a doctors note and we worked out that to go to the doctors and to get a scan for them to tell it was pulled would cost almost $800. I couldn't afford that as they knew it as I had to ask for a discount to join the program. Not happy as they are a fitness company and surely they should know how to warm up their students! read more
