    Pork rinds
    Nellie B.

We have vacation property at Seven Bays, and when we are there for a few days we always like to make the drive here for great food. All their meats are perfect, but we always make sure one of us gets their smoked potato salad because it's delicious, and I think, the only place in the northwest to find it. It's one dish where I close my eyes and turn off all the crazy people I live with around me. And you can't have a meal here without their pork rinds that come out hot and crackling. What nice people and a great place. They are the best restaurant in Lincoln County.

Man, what took us so long to try this place? Real deal pitmaster barbecue in smalltown Eastern WA? You bet. It was out...stand...ing. Meats were perfectly smoked, sauce was great, and prices were fair for the product/portions. Folks in there were very friendly; chefs were decked out in professional garb, and the happy owner was all over the place doing a little bit of everything. You could see/feel the pride in all of them. Decor was unique and traditional at the same time, and the place was very clean. They only do ribs on the weekend, and that may merit an updated review from me, but wow there's no problem with having to 'put up' with their brisket & pork during the week, huh? And if you like Pork Rinds, get ready to have an umami moment. They come out hot and poppin'! What a great place. Davenport WA, I am officially jealous of you...

Great food. Great service and good people!! We are regulars and enjoy going there. Also good for events and big families.

They close at 8pm yet we called and told them part of our party would arrive after closing time. Pete and his wife were awesome, as was the whole experience. They stayed open and never rushed. The service was great, including from the owners themselves. food. Absolutely the best smoked meats in the PNW. Prime rib, potato salad, on and on. I can't say enough about this gem in the middle of (nearly nowhere)! Definable a detour off I90 is worth the time. I almost forgot to mention the well stocked bar, outdoor balcony seating and decor that you would find in the hipest joints in a major city.

Wow, the potato salad was out of this world. We are in town for the wildfire and needed something different to eat and boy did we have a great lunch. We had the Reuben and potato salad to go. The potato salad has a WONDERFUL smoke flavor to it. The staff was very friendly. If you are going to be in the area, even Spokane I would give this place a try.

This has been on my list of places to try for a while now. I don't think there are super high quality BBQ places around the area so I wanted to give this one a go. Glad I did. The small town of Davenport is one that takes you back in time. A quaint downtown that is reminiscent of times gone by with mostly older buildings and nice wide sidewalks. You'll find the Tribune at the west end of town on the North side of the street, right on the corner. The Tribune looks just like every other older building on this stretch until you get inside. It is quite roomy with a plenty of booths and chair tables. There is also a long bar with about 10 stools. It is decorated nicely and feels more modern than its exterior. We were seated quickly and given a rundown of several specials for the day. So many good sounding specials it was going to make the choice difficult. I skipped the specials all together and my buddy went with the rib special. I ordered a brisket and cheddar sandwich with a side of beans, onion ring, and potato salad. I skipped breakfast knowing I was coming here so I was ready for a feast. Every one of these items were spot on for taste. The brisket just fell apart and the sauce was absolutely perfect. They also use a very good bun for this that is not one you would purchase at the store. The onion ring was crisp, yet not greasy; the beans were some of the best I've had although they could have been heated a bit more; and the potato salad had an amazing taste to it that was both fresh and unique. My buddy had ordered the ribs and when he picked up the bone the meat just fell off. He was super impressed with the quality and taste. He was also very fond of the potato salad. Enough so that he purchased some to take home. Thankfully we were given extra napkins and some wet naps. Our waitress was super nice and kept the iced teas topped off throughout our meal. I would highly recommend the drive from Spokane to get your hands on what I believe is the best BBQ in the area.

This place was great. The food was really good (except for the smoked potato salad, we weren't fans of that). Very friendly staff and owner. I'm not sure how Davenport lucked out and got this gem, but they did and it's awesome!!!

    Home made Pork Rinds, amazing.

This is the best pork tenderloin I have had in years. They smoked it to perfection. Also had the pork rinds, I had never eaten fresh pork rinds before. They just melted in my mouth. The service was great too. Met a man who I think was the owner, very nice man who wanted an honest opinion. Thanks for making a great place.

Great fall off the bone pork ribs. Barbecue sauce needs to be bottled and sold, what a treat this place is. We'll be back for sure

I was in absolutely no mood for Olive garden but thought Spokane might have some nice country fried steak. Did a quick Google search and this place came up. The steak portion size was super generous and it was covered with gravy. I cleaned up my plate. This dish was perfect. I got the eggs, biscuit and slaw ( did some subs) and they didn't disappoint as well. This is a small, probably family managed place. Don't expect anything fancy and all that jazz. Come here if you want some good chicken fried steak. They also had a bunch of burger options.

I'm a bull of simple tastes and strong opinions. I graze where I live, and I take notice of who…read morefeeds the herd around here. Hangry's is in my pasture--my neck of the woods--and because of that, I want it to win. When Hangry's first opened, I remember lifting my head from the grass and thinking, Now that's something different. A small, independent burger stop with real personality. Not a franchise. Not a copy-and-paste joint. Real food, real effort, real care. Burgers with heft. Flavors with backbone. Portions that didn't insult a full-grown cow like myself. There was pride in the grill and warmth behind the counter. You could feel it. That's why this is hard to chew on. The food is still good. Let me be clear--I'm not saying it's bad. But the spark has dulled. The uniqueness that once set Hangry's apart has lost some of its flavor. The service doesn't carry the same energy it once did. There's a tension in the air now, a kind of hangry mood that doesn't come from hunger, but from strain. It feels less like a place excited to serve, and more like a place trying to survive. And that worries me. Because I don't want Hangry's to become just another Zip's. Another forgettable stop where burgers are churned out without soul. This place was never meant to be that. It was meant to be a friendly, fun, neighborhood joint--high quality, generous portions, bold flavor, and people who cared deeply about what they put on the plate and how they handed it across the counter. I know running a business is hard. Even a cow understands that. Starting strong is one thing; staying sharp is another. Motivation fades. Criticism piles up. The grind wears you down. But the answer isn't to lower the bar--it's to return to the basics. To remember who you were when you started. To cook like you still have something to prove. To serve like every customer matters, because they do. Hangry's doesn't need to reinvent itself. It needs to refocus. Quality first. Pride back in the process. Fresh eyes on the food. Confidence instead of survival mode. If that happens, this place won't just hang on--it will thrive. This bull is rooting for you. You're in my pasture, and I want you here for a long time. Get back to your roots, sharpen your edge, and remind us why we noticed you in the first place. This cow is all in.
