Me and my wife both ordered Burgers here, and they were wonderful! The indoor dining has lighting that is not too over stimulating and the outdoor patio was lovely and adequately shaded. What made me the happiest during my Overall wonderful experience at JJ's was very surprising though... It's a real honest down to earth FAMILY RUN eatery in North Indian trail. And It's so cool seeing their family all pitch in to bring our neighborhood that experience. It lacked the pulled pork taste while everything else was overwhelming the flavor. The bacon cheese burger with smoked Gouda was dry. The beef lacked flavor while having chewing dry meat. The Mac and cheese was mostly noodles with little cheese. Again lacked flavor. The sweet potatoes fries 10/10. Next morning my wife and I are currently having to use the restroom repeatedly. The worst thing you can do is compare two people. For example, when Sara told me that me and my friend 'looked the same with the same haircut and matching clothes. Well-surprise it offended me. I've known my friend since I was 18. I'm 52 now. I am 5'8 my friend is 4 ft. We do NOT have the same haircut nor do we look like each other. But thanks. We went here for dinner and Bingo last night. All four of us were winners and shared a winning ticket with the table next to us. The Brisket was delightful. The BbQ wings were amazing and so was the Rubin. The Cobb salad with walnuts was on the fair side but the waitress gave us compensation for that. The pulled pork was ok, the turkey was cold, the brisket & tri-tip were both dry and tough. One good meat out of five isn't something recommend to someone. So we went in on a Friday at 11:30 am. Sad to see no breakfast menu was at this location as we had that in mind. Ok, we pivoted and had the brisket bites, brisket sandwich and a Cobb salad. The brisket bites were fatty, drenched in sauces and served with what was called Cole slaw but tasted like a wet month old gym sock. No worries, it can only get better from here, right? Nooe. Sandwich was served with the same wet gym sock and dry inedible brisket slices piled with stale onion crisps. The salad was mixed with a fair amount of pink tinted romaine stalks and less leaf. Not wanting to complain as we just wanted to slip out quietly, we decided to mention our issues when asked how the food was, and was immediately comped all food and apologies were poured. I have been looking for a good neighborhood bar. I went in yesterday for the first time. The food was great. The server was really nice and the beer was cold. 5 stars up to this point. However I am docking them 2 stars for not providing a great environment. There were these two older white guys getting upset at an African woman thinking she was video taping them when she was just facetiming with her son in Africa as he was getting ready for school. She explained what she was doing and other spoke up in her defense. Then just before she left, wait for it, one of the guys stated, "COLORED women should not be allowed in bars like this". I know one of the staff members heard this. Granted, this was not the fault of the pub but if I was the owner, I would 86 these racists forever. read more

When we walked in, it appeared busy and seated ourselves. Despite some of the other reviews, our server greeted us right away and was super friendly. Loved the atmosphere of the place, with the sports bar look and lots of tvs to view your favorites. We started with some beer. Great selection. Had the Hop Valley Kraken IPA, very delicious.. and $5 a pint?? A special I didn't expect. I had the baby back ribs. The dry rub on the ribs and with the sauces made them pretty good, but I've had better, and a bit on the dry side, so they were OK. (hence 4 stars) My wife had her go-to, the pulled pork sandwich. It looked delicious and she said it was good. It is a fun place. I'd go back again, just to try something a bit different. read more

Bad experience! This is the first time I have ever given a restaurant a bad review. Was told to seat ourselves then waited 15 minutes without receiving service. Got up to go get our own menus, the waitress said she would be right there then waited another 15 minutes without receiving any service before we got up and left. You would think after forgetting about a table once in an almost empty restaurant (4 active tables) you might be a little more attentive but not today. When we first moved into this neighborhood, we used to eat at JJs often. We loved their Rueben Sandwich, but we haven't been able to go back in a while. However, we went in yesterday and my husband ordered the Reuben Sandwitch and was very disappointed with it. The corned beef was very good!! However, the bread was dried out, like it was left under the warming light too long. There was very little cheese on it and very little sauerkraut, and very llittle dressing. We wanted to go here when some vendors were in town for a larger business lunch. I called ahead and was able to make a reservation, which was very convenient. The day of when we arrived we were sat right away, the server was very attentive, and we didn't find ourselves waiting for anything - even with only one server and our larger group. The atmosphere is super laid back, clean, lots of TVs to watch if you want, and really just your normal bar/tap house feel. We were all pleased with the food. I don't know what everyone else got, but I got the Turkey and bacon with avocado sandwich, as a wrap, with a side salad and it was really good! Everything tasted fresh and was filling! I ordered the Reuben and my hubby got the chicken strips. Best sandwich I've had. They smoke the corned beef and it was delicious! Lots of care went into this sandwich. It wasn't sloppy or over smoked. Generous serving of sweet potato fries and their dipping sauces were homemade too. Hubs chicken strips were also made fresh not frozen and were really crispy. Gave this place a try because it was close to work and had positive (although not very many!) reviews and had a great lunch! This is a sports bar that has a 21 or older bar section and a sit down restaurant section. I always get nervous when I try BBQ in areas that are NOT known for their BBQ because I am a bit of a BBQ snob having eating at the best spots all over Texas and KC, MO. Tried the brisket sandwich and it was DELICIOUS!!! They smoke it for 12 hours and it had a nice smoke ring. Meat was tender and juicy. For the sandwich they had a fresh bun, coleslaw, and onion rings on the sandwich and it worked really well. They gave me a side of their house BBQ sauce and it was nicely done. Lots of sports games on the various televisions, this is a GREAT spot to catch a game, enjoy an adult beverage, and a meal. Service wasn't great. A server took our order and brought drinks only to disappear. Later a different server came by to check on us (a little late). Paid an extra $2 to get macaroni and cheese as my side and it was only OK, wouldn't do that again. Pleasantly surprised to find good BBQ in Spokane, WA and might be back! read more

Love JJ's food and service! Each time we visit I try and find a new item on the menu to enjoy but the Ridgecrest is a solid go to of mine. While I've heard other items that are absolutely fantastic there is something perfect about the brisket on the burger. Their bbq sauce is delicious! I can see why this place is so popular... We ordered the beef patty sliders and they were great - thick, juicy patty topped with cheese, onions, tomato, lettuce, and pickle on a fresh bun. Really a step up from other sliders we've had elsewhere. We also ordered the two piece fish and chips, and they were good, too. Not sure what makes their fries special but it seems like they are frozen but cooked right and seasoned properly. The tartar sauce tasted fresh so I assume it's house made. There was a little container of coleslaw that came with the fish. Because it was our first time here we ordered a single rib to try. Very nice, smokey and tender! The sauce they included was tasty and I'm sure we'll order a full rack next time. Our order was just coming up when we got there and the service was fast and friendly! read more

We've been to JJ's twice now. The first time was mediocre, not terrible, not great either. It's been awhile since we tried it the first time so we decided to give it another shot since the location is convenient. It was terrible. We ordered the meat sampler. Every single piece of meat was cold; the turkey, pulled pork, brisket, tri-tip. All of it. Some of it was tough to chew. The bbq sauces it came with had a very odd taste to them. I ordered a cocktail from their menu, the "lemon-cucumber", and it tasted like straight Sprite mixed with some lemon juice. The only thing that was good was the pickled onions, which comes as a garnish on the side of the meat sampler. Wouldn't try this place again now. read more

The food is pretty good and they do have a good rotating beer selection, but the food can be a little hit and miss at times. Granted, it is more hit than miss but my wife is grown increasingly unimpressed with the food while I still do like it. Some of our biggest issues is with the staff. They're nice enough but some of the staff has looked a little hard and crusty, kind of like maybe they've been doing a lot of drugs on the weekends and the big thing we've noticed on the last three times We were there, the girls all have their long hair down and they flick their hair all over the place constantly. They stand at the window waiting for the food to serve us, and they're just flicking their hair left and right, tossing it out of their face and running their hands through it. It's almost like that corner is where they go to prep their hair. They should all be wearing their hair back and a ponytail. They are friendly and usually the guys behind the bar are really cool. I just kind of wish they had a bit of a cleaner staff. But then again staff changes and maybe I'll go back and get a better feeling and I'll come back and add a star to this review. read more

Pulled pork had zero flavor. Zero. Tri Tip was thoroughly mid; tough and under seasoned. Ribs had no salt to them whatsoever, and still had the silver skin membrane attached which negated their tenderness. The brisket was approaching good. Retained enough moisture but lacking flavor. The turkey was the best item from the bbq sampler; however sliced too thin. The menu stated the sampler came with all the sauces, we received one; it sucked. You offer no sides with your bbq sampler, offer no bread, roll, or starch. I was surprisingly disappointed considering how busy you were and the recommendations I've received. One of two places we tried during Restaurant Week... The good: - Great beer selection. - Service at the table was great. - Good sports bar atmosphere with decent food. - Good rub on the ribs. The not as good: - Getting a table was disorganized. - Can be very cold when sitting near the door. - Ribs were not fall off the bone baby back ribs as stated. We live about an hour away so we called ahead to see if we could get our name on the list, since it was Restaurant Week and places are usually busy. No problem. Once we arrived, we were told that they had accidently given our table away, but they were able to seat us in a few minutes. This was after they waited on a few people after us. They were just really confused at the front of the house. Once seated, service was great. They brought us samples of beer we thought we might like and our server made good recommendations. We were seated near the door, and it got pretty cool each time the door opened. I'd ask for a table near the back next time. I was excited to try the food here as I am a big BBQ fan. Growing up in the Chicago area, I really crave good ribs. My first course came out. Smoked Pork Belly and Potato Soup. Good flavor overall, but it was boarding on being too salty, even though it was pork belly. The second course was the half rack of baby back ribs. On their menu it says they are fall off the bone. They didn't appear to be baby back ribs, at least, they were not like any I have ever had. The bones were wide, and the meat dense and thick. While they were tender, they were no means fall off the bone. Fall off the bone usually means you can just pull the ribs apart. I did appreciate the awesome dry rub they used which had awesome flavor. I also liked that since they were served dry, I was able to try all three sauces that appeared home made. They were all different but good. The sides were decent. The corn bread was my favorite. The beans were good and smoky, but with a lot of spice. The dessert course I had was the Vanilla Bourbon Stout Beer Float. It was not a typical float. A little bit of beer with some ice cream drizzled with caramel and chocolate. Their appeared to be some type of brownie or cake in the bottom. It was good overall, but now what I would consider a usual float, but it was an interesting take. For $31 not including drinks, it seemed a little expensive for dinner at a sports bar, but it wasn't bad. If we lived closer, I could see stopping by JJ's once in a while. Hi, I didn't want to call with a complaint because you were obviously very busy when we stopped in to pick up our take out order. The poor staff looked overworked. I wanted to let you know that this is the THIRD time I have ordered take out and received the wrong order. One time it was a completely different meal. One time I got the wrong side. And this time I ordered a buffaloe chicken salad and ended up with a chicken sandwich (that wasn't cooked through) and a side salad. Every time we dine in the service is fantastic and the food is perfect and delicious. You're one of our favorite restaurants so I hope this doesn't come across as an angry rant. My husband and I had this restaurant referred to us so we stopped in to share a little lunch. Wednesday is a special $8 for a pound of chicken wings bone or unboned. They were great. $4 for some of the best onion rings we've ever had & $3 for Coleslaw. This was totally enough food for two people. We tried 3 of their homemade bbq sauces which were delicious. They have one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've had in town as they used smoked meat... delicious! This is the first restaurant I've entered without a mask in about 16 months and it was wonderful. They had a sign out front that said that if you were vaccinated, you could enter without a mask. Everyone in our party had been vaccinated, so we took off our masks and went on in. The beer selection was good and all of us were able to get what we wanted. I had the Breakfast Porter. For lunch, I ordered the Bleu and Black, which was a salad with grilled steak and bleu cheese dressing. It was very good. I also had a side of onion rings. Also very good.
