I'm at a company site in Spokane Washington and I had an option for Olive garden that was catered at work. I was in absolutely no mood for Olive garden but thought Spokane might have some nice country fried steak. Did a quick Google search and this place came up. The steak portion size was super generous and it was covered with gravy. I cleaned up my plate. This dish was perfect. I got the eggs, biscuit and slaw ( did some subs) and they didn't disappoint as well. This is a small, probably family managed place. Don't expect anything fancy and all that jazz. Some have referred to this as one of the best burgers in Spokane valley. Feel free to expand that out a few thousand miles. Ordered the Brown sugar, BBQ, bacon, medium well with a side of coleslaw. We've all eaten our fair share of burgers, and this was one of the best I've ever had. Check out how they load this "bad" burger up; brown sugar, bacon, onion, lettuce, pickles, pepperoncinis, barbecue sauce, and "Hangry" sauce. That's an excellent topper. One of the marks of a good burger is if you need a lot of napkins and something to catch the overflow. This hits it on both points. You get a good amount of coleslaw as an option v. fries. Driving through the Spokane area. Needed some dinner. Saw this place on Yelp and gave it a try. From the outside the place does not look the best. Inside is small. But the service from the time I walked in was great. Very personable and patient. We got a BLT that my wife loved. I got the turkey bacon melt which was perfect. Sweet potato fries were tasty and cooked spot on. We got two side salads that were great. Real greens which says a lot about the quality. Price was right. Highly recommend. read more

Some might disagree with my five star rating as the ambience is not exactly 1st class. Very small joint with limited seating but plenty of outside seats. So, why 5? Because after eating the "best burger in Spokane" with sweet potato fries and a chocolate shake - I can't disagree. That really is one of the best burgers I've had. The service was exceptional, very attentive, very friendly. Definitely will come back to get the same thing I ordered today because it was that good. Let me first say I love Hangrys except for today and one other time. I order from here a lot because I work nights and it's easier to order in before work. This time none of what I requested was done. No tomatoes or lettuce and the burger well done as well as fry sauce. Burger was very pink, lettuce and tomato on burger. The bun was so wet and soggy it was inedible. Fries had to be thrown in the air fryer as they were not done. I also ordered and paid for fry sauce and received none. I've read so many good things about this place that we had to make our way out to the valley to try it. Upon arriving it is a very small building with a dimly lit entrance and virtually no light in the parking lot. A true hole in the wall kind of place. Walking inside we were warmly greeted and found a seat right away. There are about 5 booths and a couple of tables to round out the entire indoor seating. They clearly have picnic tables and an area outside to increase the space during the warmer three seasons. We started out with fried cheese curds which were very good. They have a bit of garlic to them, but not overpowering. They were a tad greasy, but otherwise worth to the order. Burgers were ordered and they were excellent. Cooked exactly as asked and they are very large. Seasoning was spot on and veggies were fresh. The fries that we asked for as our side are shoestring style and were also a bit on the greasy side. They were still very good though. Overall a very good experience that will bring us back whenever in the area. We were also told that they'll be opening a north side venue in the near future. On a recent trip to Spokane, we were out and about looking for lunch with no particular part of town in mind. My daughter found Hangry's on Yelp and the reviews convinced us to head East! Best decision ever. It was a bit of a wait but worth it! I had the Brown Sugar Bacon Cheese Burger and my daughter had the Turkey Bacon Melt. Good grief. The garlic fries are the best I've ever had and the burger was fantastic. We agreed that sharing would have been wise - the portions are generous. We have the greatest "Burger Dive" in our home town but Hangry's is the same sort of awesome. Hangry's has earned a permanent place on our future Spokane itineraries. read more

Comfort food abounds. I was finally able to stop in. The place is small and not really in a location right off the highway where you'd expect a restaurant to be. It has a small parking lot out front and to the side. This may have been an old service station at one time as the bathroom is located outside around the back. There's outdoor and small indoor seating. Inside is comfortable but dark as they could use some more lighting overall or just table lamps. Perhaps putting in some windows in the back wall would get some light in and make the space seem more open. Better yet...how about a garage door style that could open onto a covered patio area in Summer? Food for thought. LOL They have a pretty large selection on the menu as you can see in the pix. I'd like to return to try breakfast sometime. I'm not sure if it's just me and that I haven't been going out as much to notice the food price increase but it did seem a bit high for what it is. Although, my bacon cheeseburger was very tasty and the waitress even asked how I'd like my burger cooked. The bacon was crisp and not chewy. The fries are shoestring cut fries and would have been a whole lot better if they weren't over salted so perhaps ask for no salt and add your own. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying not to go! How many other restaurants (other than big chains) that serve breakfast all day and are open after 2pm?! In fact...they are open 7 fays a week from 6:30 am to 9 pm! I would give Hangry's a 5 star review for service and quality of the meal. However, I found the large photo of Trump with his fist in the air in poor taste. He is last thing I want to see when I am having a delicious meal and I won't be going back. A tiny lot way out on Trent, some picnic tables near a shade tree abut the small parking area. The place was small and crowded inside, with ramshackle booths crammed in every corner. A classic, "Breakfast All Day", "Burgers and Baskets" kind of joint. The servers were very attentive and knew most of the customers on sight. There was a one john-one sink washroom "out back".
