I have been coming to Trifecta for over a year and I love it. The location is excellent, right by Columbus circle; a block away from the train, across the street from Nordstrom. Appointments are easy to make; either call or email. They always confirm with a phone call a few days prior and send a reminder text, which is helpful. I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth. I started with getting hydrafacials (now Diamond Glow) and have since added laser hair removal for the face, and most recently had the Coolsculpting treatment (will do a separate review). Since starting with the facials (results after just ONE session!) and laser, my skin has never looked better. Elizabeth is always on time, professional, knowledgeable, and the only person I trust with my face (you only have one!) She makes sure to add any promotions that may be going on and is cognizant of the prices. Trifecta also has monthly promotions so be sure to ask about those. I had IPL with Inna. It was incredibly painful. Looking back, I am surprised they did not adjust the laser to be less strong on my skin but I did not know to ask for this at the time. I had a great experience with Inna. It was my first time doing ultherapy, a longer procedure. She made the whole experience enjoyable and engaging. Inna did a great job weaving in her knowledge of other services she thought I would enjoy. I ended up also doing laser hair removal due to Inna's recommendation and it was painless! I am a Black woman and I have tried for years to get rid of facial hair using lasers but you need a particular kind of laser for Black skin. Finally, I went to Trifecta Med Spa on 57th street because they have a SPLENDOR X laser removal device, which combines 2 lasers, Alexandrite and Nd:YAG. These are the kinds of lasers recommended for Black people. I bought a package for 6 laser hair removal treatments for a medium area to treat the facial hair on my chin and lip area. After 1 treatment, I saw a dramatic difference. After 3 treatments, all of my facial hair is pretty much gone. I have been working with Inna. She has been really nice and happy to talk about all the services without pushing anything. I talked to her about all the hyperpigmentation on my face and I decided to get a VI Peel. I see a difference in the texture of my skin but I think you need three treatments to see real results. I will probably get two more treatments at some point. The reception is very nice also and when I had questions during the week-long process, I called the reception each time and they gave me a lot of support. I will be going back often because med spa treatments will be my new form of self-care. I recommend them as a person who recognizes that we, as Black women, have different needs and solutions. Great experience. The Trifecta team was nice, professional, always on time, never tried to upsell me, and was very honest about results and setting expectations. The CoolSculpting went well and my stubborn fat is drastically reduced. It's not 100% gone, but I wasn't expecting that. I'm a few months out from session 1 and I would say it looks at least 50% reduced and the area entirely disappears under clothing, which I am very happy with. To have appropriate expectations, it's important to do research and understand who CoolSculpting is designed for: fit people at their target weight with specific areas of stubborn fat. That was my situation and the CoolSculpting worked on my target areas after 3 sessions per area. I was recommended 2 sessions per area, and while I saw results after 2 sessions, I wanted that extra bit of additional reduction, so I went back for a 3rd session. While we eventually got it to work, my fat had reduced so much the machine had a hard time grabbing it! The CoolToning came for free once you buy a specific CoolSculpting package. I don't expect results after only 2 sessions, but I am not convinced it's doing much. But hey it won't hurt and I'm hoping as I keep exercising, it will jumpstart definition. read more

I mentioned I was thinking of getting a procedure done to reduce acne scars, maybe a microneedling prp facial or microdermablasion. She says ok and asks me to sign paper work but before I signed it, i wanted to read over it. 3 times I was interrupted and asked to follow them to do the facial. I had to keep asking to give me a few more minutes to finish reading it over. Eventually i gave up and handed back the tablet without signing it. She asked me to follow her into a room and get ready. "Ready for what?" I asked, to which she replied "for your prp facial!" I looked like deer in head lights haha. No consultation, no signed papers, no paying but she was ready to go! I mentioned I was taken aback and would like to discuss my options first. She didnt even look at my skin closely, she just went "I can see you have some acne scars so this treatment would be good for you" lol that's it. I mean what. Anyways, i decide to go with the hydrafacial instead. Suchhh an amazing experience. She explained everything to me, removed so much from my pores and it was so relaxing I ended up falling asleep, ha! After the treatment, they made me sign the paper saying they were about to perform a treatment and it mentioned side effects. I was a little confused about how backwards it was. I went yesterday for laser hair removal after buying a package on Gilt City for 6 sessions for Brazilian. I never had laser hair removal before so I was obviously nervous. But I am so glad I came here! The office is cozy, cutely decorated, and pristinely clean. The office manager (Elizabeth?) who schedules appointments and checks you in was so nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. I had Inna for the procedure and she was also so nice and knowledgeable. She checked to make sure none of the medications I'm on would interfere with the laser and talked me through the whole process. The laser itself is a new machine, apparently the best - and it was really only slightly uncomfortable and I was just a little red for about an hour after.
