Bought a couples Swedish massage for our anniversary. Appointment was for 7, was seen by 7:15 and they ask you to come 10 min early so was waiting about 25 minutes. Aesthetically, this looks like an old doctor's office converted to a "spa", to the point when my husband arrived he asked me where I found this place. If you have to use the bathroom they give you a key and it's a dingy shared bathroom in the hallway of the shared office space. The massage room leaves a lot to be desired, they have "relaxing" music playing from a phone on YouTube which gets interrupted by ads or other sounds. You can hear all of the city's sounds during your relaxing massage aka car honking and sirens. The masseuses were good, they check on you to see if you're ok, maybe not overly friendly but that's ok. At the end, when it came time to pay, the receptionist asks if you want to tip, I say yes, expecting a receipt I can write a tip, but she says no just tell me what you want to leave. They should use a different system, it's awkward to announce to a room the tip you're leaving. Overall, the actual massage was pretty good, at some points the towels were too hot and too much pressure for me, but I could have said something. Despite this I rearranged my schedule to accommodate their availability. Then on a random Saturday I receive a text from a random number stating that the day they suggested I have the treatment done, is now suddenly unavailable and tried to make me come in earlier or much later. They clearly don't understand that people work M-F and that canceling is unprofessional and they offered little to no flexibility. I don't recommend. read more

Be sure to call them before purchasing to make sure you can get an appointment for the Groupon deal. Located on the 4th floor of an office building. The space is neat with a clean aesthetic. They have a small coffee maker and a tea kettle. Would be nice to also have chargers available. Thankfully, another patron had a power cord I could use. I got checked in quickly, but sat waiting for awhile for my appointment. There were a few staff members joking, laughing, and talking loudly all around the left side of the office. Very distracting and seemed a little unprofessional for what is meant to be a relaxing spa experience. Even once I was taken to my appointment room I could still hear them. The woman mentioned I should upgrade my peel to be more effective, but it was out of my budget so we stuck to what I had. The peel didn't take long and I was on my way. The phones seemed to ring constantly. I wonder if others were trying to get ahold of someone to book a Groupon deal. Restroom was available outside. Overall, okay experience but the loud staff was a bit of a turnoff for what I hoped to be a relaxing experience. read more

Over 4 years of consistently good service and miraculous results. I always wanted laser hair removal and am so happy it works for me. I purchased a 50 min facial package on Pulsd and was able to set an appointment right away through a phone call. I had made my appointment for 12pm on a Saturday and what really threw me off was that they called me at 11:55am to make sure I was coming. I had told them that I was on the subway and was one stop away so I felt very rushed in the beginning. When I got to the clinic, I was escorted to a room right away and began my consultation. Purchased and redeemed a Pulsd for a 50 min Facial and 50 min Swedish Massage. Take note: Redeeming both on the same day is only offered on Fridays. They double-booked me, thus had to change my reservation multiple times (3-times). The establishment is small but has separate treatment rooms for massages and facials. For massages, you fill out your preferred focus area and pressure/strength (1 to 3). For facials, you are asked what you want (exfoliation, extraction, moisturizing, etc) and adjusts accordingly. After treatment, paid for taxes ($14) and tip (cash preferred). I would say the treatments were standard but getting the reservation was quite frustrating. read more

I come for deep tissue massages and they have three masseuses that frankly, all are so good I don't mind whoever I get since they all are fantastic and focus on all the areas you advise them to. She answered all my skin questions and gave me honest information about what my skin needs to be better. I added on an oxygen treatment due to the weather making my skin super dry. My skin is very sensitive and I suffer from Rosacea. Came on a Saturday using classpass credits. The building is easy to find, but keep in mind the entrance on 44th st is closed outside of working hours. Take an elevator up a floor (because stairs are hard to find) and you'll find the suite pretty easily. The front doors are very very unassuming but when you walk in, about 50lbs of strss flies away. I was greeting immediately when walking in by the gentleman at the front desk, filled out a quick form and a preference sheet and sat down to wait. The ambience in the waiting room is perfect, it's lovely. Yokasta (hopefully I spelled her name correctly) came and greeted me. She took me to the massage room and gave me my instructions (which I failed to follow because I just always do). The room is quiet with peaceful music playing, the lights change in the room. I did find that to be a bit distracting. I would ask to keep it on a blue during my massage. My swedish massage was great, I marked for level 3 pressure and I definitely got that. It was relaxing but also got some work on my muscles done. I could feel her focus on a knot a bit on my back which helped (even though deep tissue is an extra 20, shhhhh don't tell). She was quiet the entire time, it felt like she had 4 arms and I easily relaxed into my own world. One of the best massages I had in awhile. After ending, I went out to the waiting room where I was able to sit relax for a few moments with a lovely glass of champagne.
