Had them spray in March $250. Tech told tenant they would come back and respray if ants continue. Called in June for another one time spray. Was not told about free respray. They tried to upsell but after speaking to them decided on another $250 for one time and he said they would spary the exterior for additional $100. When they came out they only sprayed the exterior. Now trying to bill me for $350. After hours on the phone with them they have dropped the $100 for exterior and want me to pay $250 for the interior which they never did. Horrible company. I fulfilled a one-year bi-monthly service agreement with this company and contacted them to cancel after completing the contract term. I initially emailed to cancel service, and in their response I was told I would either be charged a $75 fee for removal of bait boxes or could request an additional service visit. During a follow-up call, the same options were repeated, along with a statement that a fee would apply no matter what. I called a few of the pest control company around, none mentioned they will collect a fee to collect the bait box. Some even will leave the bait box to customer. In the contract , it states: "If you cancel service prior to a scheduled quarterly appointment, there may be a $75 fee applied for removal of the bait boxes." This wording is unclear and does not apply to my situation. I cancelled about one week after my final service visit, at the end of my contract term, and there was no upcoming scheduled appointment at the time of cancellation. Based on the wording, I reasonably understood the fee to apply only if cancelling before a scheduled service visit. I did not cancel before a scheduled appointment, but after completing my final service. The agreement does not clearly explain that a fee would still apply in this situation. After raising this concern, the company continued to insist the fee was valid and sent me an invoice. He said they will potentially refer to collections if unpaid. Based on this, I'd suggest potential customers to rethink their decision of having a contractual agreement with this company. read more

I'm having a similar experience. They never want to let you cancel and insist that you signed a contract which allows them to charge a fee when you cancel and the next appointment is set. The never even let you know an appointment is set up until you call to cancel. Then they keep calling you over and over to convince you not to cancel. It's like canceling a gym membership. I had TriGuard for pest control this past year (2025). After their first application I couldn't even tell that they were at my home. After their second application the cobwebs were so thick I had to power wash them off my house and rake them out of my bushes. I called and canceled my service but this fell on deaf ears. The only thing they are good at is billing. Even with my cancelation request they continued billing me for the entire year. I will NEVER do business with this company again. If it was the Boise franchise, not the Caldwell I apologize to the first. Regardless, their product is worthless. read more

This company is amazing ! Our yard was "infested" with aphids! Our previous company did not spray for aphids. Triguard came to us. Justin immediately looked in our irrigation box, and found hundreds of black widow spider eggs, they also went into our crawl space and saw a brown recluse and remnants of rodent activity . This was all as a courtesy to us! We were very impressed!! They also offered to give us a free inspection under the house, with Quick Dry Restoration, they. came out the next day and found several areas where insulation had fallen and several areas on the ground needed attention! Triguard came out the next evening , yes i said evening, to spray in our crawl space as well as our entire yard! We are so impressed with them , as well as Quick Dry Restoration. None of our previous pest control companies have ever gone in our crawl space before!!! read more

Never sign with TriGuard Pest Control. They require a 30 day cancellation or they will charge you for the service whether you need it or not. Most companies have a 2 year commitment, but this one has no end to the contract. Even after years of service they will charge you for that last service. The only response they give is that they will "Send you a copy of the contract you signed". Who is going to see that detail in the contract or even remember after several years. So don't set yourself up for the frustration. read more

I have been using Triguard for the past few years and have never had the spiders around my home under control. I went to cancel my service today and the person who answered the phone told me that I had to call 30 days prior to my next service or have to pay the service fee of $120.00. My appointment is at the end of the month, so this should have been enough notice. It was never in my contract about a cancelling service time period, so there's that. These people are rip offs! My recommendation, don't use Triguard. If I could give them a negative 10, I would. Will never do business with this company again. read more

DISHONEST. Totally scamming people. The salesman failed to inform me that I was signing up for a year contract. Fortunately I was able to cancel in my 3 day cancellation window. Now they are charging me full price for their "discounted" service because I cancelled for their dishonesty. They never call you back forever. This company scammed people all over in our neighborhood and am not the only one who this happened to. If you value honesty and respect from a company, don't use them. The fact that they didn't take responsibility for their salesman's failure, and continued to charge me more than I was originally quoted is VERY telling about their integrity. They ignore the no soliciting sign clearly above your doorbell and They hard sell you. WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THEIR SERVICE. While their technicians did a good job, TriGuard's contracts and business practices as a company are predatory, deceptive, and I believe contrary to FTC rules. I signed a contract that I thought was for 12 months (states such in large print right above where you sign), but they have hidden in the small print what is called a "Negative Action Clause." Basically, if you don't specifically reach out and cancel your service (that you may have thought was one time, 12 months, or whatever you thought you were signing up for) the service continues forever until you specifically reach out and cancel. Oh and when you do try and cancel, if they have a service "already scheduled" within 30 days, they will demand that you pay a cancelation fee "per the contract." The contract which they have deceptively written to hook you into this exact scenario. If you are interested in further reading on why their current contracts violate the FTC rules, check out the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 16, Chapter 1, subchapter D, 425.5, which governs consumer protection laws regarding subscriptions and negative option programs. TriGuard should have a section in their contract the specifically and separately goes over the automatic continuing of their services that you specially and separately agree to via a signature, initial, checkbox, or similar. But they don't have this in their current contracts because they are exactly the kind of company the FTC tries to protect consumers against. I would urge anyone to run away from them as quickly as possible and if you are reading this and you have been treated similarly, I'd urge you submit a complaint against them with the Attorney General's office of Idaho and the FTC directly, they both have easy to use online forms. read more

I asked Triguard out to help establish how mice were getting into my home. They sent a very young tech who effectively just dropped some traps but couldn't help identify the intrusion point. So I called and asked them to come back out and send someone more senior. They refused to do so without paying for a second visit. I declined. They sent me a bill for $150 and I begrudgingly paid it. Weeks later they sent us another bill, now for $450! I replied to their emailed invoice asking how they could justify it and explaining how terrible our experience with them had been - this was adding insult to injury. They completely ignored my emails and instead recently sent us to collections, so now I have to deal with that. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with any company. read more

We signed a years contract for services from TriGuard Pest Control in Boise ID. We were not happy with the service from the beginning, however it would be more to cancel than to fulfill the contract. When the second to last payment was made, I was asked if I wanted the card info saved. I said no, we only had 1 more service and then our contract was fufilled. The last service was done, we paid and said please cancel. We received another bill for another service, which TriGuard will not waive because it is not in their notes that we asked that it be cancelled. The tech that came this last time knocked down 2 wasp nests and left the nest and the dead wasps on the ground. I recently switched from Green Guard to TriGuard. I'm very happy I did. On the first service they took care of a wasp problem that I had asked Green Guard to handle. Green Guard implied they had resolved it, but I noticed immediately they had not. Thanks to TriGuard I no longer have the wasp problem. The second service call was also very impressive. I noted that they treated my entire home and yard area, while the other provider only treated the lower portion of my home exterior. The technician was very friendly. I agree with the other reviews about not disclosing details on the contract and cancellation, even when they are asked. You can't cancel until a full year then have to give them 30 days written cancellation, but that's in the fine print. They won't tell you that when you're signing up. Also, had to spray the hornets in one spot myself after having them out for it twice. read more

Justin McCrae knocked on my door and offered their pest control services. He recommended we try up to 6 appointments to get the "full effect" of their service, but we would be month to month and could cancel at any time. Which sounded great because we were not looking for long-term service, which I informed him of. Fast forward about a week, and I get a call from an account manager asking how our initial service went. He then informed me that we were in a 24-month locked in price, which included a contract. I informed him that that was not what Justin said and that we would be canceling. He told me I could call the regular line for Trigard. So that is what I did. Since then we discovered they stuck rodent bait next to the foundation of our home (instead of the fence line as they said to prevent mice from entering due to the surrounding construction) which has since attracted gophers to our property. We are in the process of self eradicating these gophers that are destroying our yard and garden beds right next to our foundation. When I did call to cancel and inform them that their salesman lied to my face and signed us up with a contract that we were told would be month to month, and has created a rodent problem on our property, all they could say was "that must be frustrating" and offered to lower the contract to a year but they still needed to come out. The girl sent my account to their cancelation team and promised me that there were very detailed notes on the account so that we could have this resolved without issue. Come to find out, there were hardly any notes on our account, which to them means that I never reported any of this to the 3 other people I'd spoken with before. The agent, Dan, informed me that my account is now currently under review to see if there is anything that can be done with the "validity" of our contract to cancel our services. I know this was a longer review, but if the company is going to be shady to lock people into contracts without their consent and go out of their way to create pest problems in people's homes, I hope anyone considering going this with company will look the other way. Their people seem nice, but do not do business with this company. They are dishonest, uncaring, and truly only out to profit for themselves. It will never be about you, the customer. Edit to add update: After receiving an email letting me know the contract was valid because my "situation has changed" (actual verbiage as per the email- "We understand that situations may change, and circumstances can lead to the need for account cancellations.") I called again to dispute this. Nick called me two weeks afterward to offer me a one year cancelation, but I could not waive an involuntary contract regardless of the situation. He said because I opened the contract 11 times before official review (I opened it to show my husband and to talk to the agents to fight this), that showed them that I understood and agreed to the contract. He also told me that I must've brought in the gophers that are destroying my backyard because their bait only kills rodents. When I explained that a gopher was a rodent and the problem started the day AFTER the bait was placed, he pushed it off as coincidental. He said I could say whatever I wanted about what happened but basically it is my word against theirs and I couldn't prove that the tech lied to me about the contract, so I can have a one year contract or cancel with a one year contract. $420 worth of bullshit from this company. And Justin is not seeing any sort of repercussions outside of not getting paid for one sale, so said Nick, the cancellation agent. DO NOT EVER SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY.
