I wish I were a local to be able to make this my go to place. From the welcoming staff to the best stuffed olives I've ever had before this place has it all. We stopped in for a nightcap and ended up ordering tots and a hot dog. We honestly should have ordered another round of hot dogs. I 10/10 recommend!

The interior is kind of small but it was easy to get a table for my fiance and I around 530pm on a Wednesday. I came for the famous hot dog tower but after looking at the menu, I pivoted and got the steak tips which were very good (only 4 pieces but they were decently sized) and the mashed potatoes and arugula salad were good as well. The fries were a highlight, fried enough for a good crunch but not greasy and fluffy on the inside. The gravy was fine but I wish I kept it for my mashed potatoes (taken away after we finished our appetizers). The corn fritters themselves were good, kind of like a sweet corn munchkin, but the lavender honey dipping sauce was way too lavender for me. Have always passed this place and am glad to have finally checked it out. Will definitely come back again!

My friends and I went out to brunch here on a Sunday. We arrived at one which was our first mistake. Our second mistake was that our friends kept trickling in, and we couldn't be seated until everybody had arrived. Another mistake we made was having a large party when there were already several large parties seated so we had to wait a good hour before we were able to sit down. While we waited for our table, we had coffee and cocktails, and snacks at the bar. The staff is lovely. Once we were seated and placed our orders, the food came out relatively quickly. Everyone was happy with their food. We had several vegans in the party and they had chosen this spot because of the vegan options and they were not disappointed.

Trina's had a nice atmosphere with low lighting and loud music. There were lots of families and young people dining. My friends and I wanted to try the viral hotdog tower, which was $35. Was it worth the price? No, but I thought the hot dogs were ok. The mac & cheese with Ritz crackers was delicious, but the menu labeled it as an entrée so I was surprised to see it arrive in a standard coffee mug. From what I saw at other tables, the entrées looked decent, but Trina's cuisine seems more like elevated diner style eating.

Oh I loved dining at Trinas! First, the staff is so so friendly - they are a collection of very caring and wonderful folks looking to connect, share and care. I had the butter bourbon cocktail and whatever they have done to create such a divine drink it's mindblowing. A deep flavor, wonderful mouthfeel and perfect balance. I was also very excited to have their root veggie salad which was so fresh, topped with a happy egg. Definitely understand why this is a neighborhood favorite! The vibe is welcoming, with a truly eclectic collection of feel good and included trinkets and decor.

Absolutely love Trina's, typically come here for dinner & drinks but tried their brunch today and it was the best I've had in a long time.

    Hot Dog Tower

Best friends on a mission -- a four-stop hot dog crawl through Camberville to celebrate two bachelor/bachelorette parties. We rated each spot on five key metrics: dog, bun, toppings, presentation, and overall value. Let me say... Trina's Starlite Lounge crushed it across the board. First of all, Trina's was the only restaurant with an actual hot dog section on their menu -- a sign of true dedication to the craft. We ordered the Hot Dog Tower, which was nothing short of a masterpiece. Perfectly stacked, visually iconic, and accompanied by crispy, seasoned French fries that deserve their own fan base. What really set Trina's apart was the ability to customize each dog -- toppings and sauces came on the side, so everyone could build their ideal bite. The buns were beautifully toasted, the dogs were snappy and juicy, and the presentation was unmatched -- both fun and functional. Our server (we sadly forget his name but will never forget his energy!) was friendly, funny, and fully embraced our chaotic crawl vibe. He even surprised us with two extra hot dogs on the house at the end of the night. Talk about top dog service. In the final hot dog crawl rankings, Trina's easily earned the gold medal. Whether you're on a hot dog adventure or just in the mood for good vibes, Trina's is an absolute must.

The food was delicious, the staff were amazing, and the vibes were great! Cute decor as well.

    Fries with gravy

This restaurant has such a really nice vibe. I love the old school interior design with all of the signs on the walls. Too cute. Both the corn dog and the vegan dog were great. I wish they had a veg friend cod dog option. The fries with gravy were great - big enough to split for my partner and I. Seems like there's a limited menu in the afternoon - so that's something to be aware of.

Pranced past this joint almost every day for half a year before i decided to finally drop in. Truthfully a shining gem of the somerville area. I don't usually look at a menu and think "today i want a hotdog" but their rotating and unique menu converted me. (Bring back the tostada hotdog. Please.) Some of the best drinks i've had, cutest ambiance, incredible service and killer food. Best "home" esque spaghetti i've found in boston--just like mama made. Didn't even know there was outdoor seating around the back in warm weather, cutest spot for a first date. Can't recommend taking your friends here enough.

Chicken sandwich and fried chicken was overcooked and no flavor. $23 for a leg and a thigh. I should have gone to Stop and Shop.

Good hot dogs, the drinks aren't anything special, could be mistaken for a gay bar, if you're into that you'll enjoy it.

Do they take reservations for brunch?

No, they do not. The only day of the year that they take reservations is for Valentine's Day dinner.

A friend recommended it to me as a fun place to dance salsa and bachata. I didn't know there were places like this in Boston. We went in and paid a cover fee at first. They start off with a class to teach basic techniques. It gave everyone a welcome feel to learn the steps and practice dancing with others. Then they open the floor for everyone to come in and dance. You are more relaxed at that point because you have learned the steps and already danced with most of the people there. It was great to meet several girls that I probably wouldn't have even talked to without the class. I love bachata so it was great to get in the moment again. The price was great for the class and a fun open dance floor afterwards. I enjoyed my time and will definitely be back next week.

I guess everyone is a beginner at some point! I hope to go back and improve my skills!

A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. There are plenty of places in Boston that can make a good burger. What is much harder to find is a…read morerestaurant that feels like it couldn't exist anywhere else. I'd heard Waverly had one of the better burgers around, so when a friend was visiting for Sail Boston, we made the short trip off the more traveled streets to see if it lived up to the reputation. I'm glad we did. Waverly is tucked away on a quiet side street in Charlestown, and that's part of the charm. The dining room is small, warm, and comfortably lived in. Nothing about it feels manufactured. The decor has an old soul without feeling dated, almost like it has been there longer than it actually has. Later I learned that's intentional. The restaurant takes its name from the historic Waverly House, a grand Charlestown hotel from the 1800s, and was designed to capture the feeling of the neighborhood's historic brownstones rather than chase the latest restaurant trend. The room felt like it belonged to Charlestown. Most of the people inside looked like they could walk home after dinner. That's the kind of place I always hope to find when visiting a neighborhood, somewhere that serves the people who live there first, and everyone else second. We asked for a window table, and the staff happily accommodated us. It's a small gesture, but one that made us feel welcomed instead of processed. The burger justified the trip on its own. I added the sunny-side-up egg, but the real star was the bacon-onion jam. It pulled everything together without overpowering the beef. The burger itself was tender, the sesame brioche somehow managed to hold everything together, and I appreciated the choice of Vermont white cheddar and Grillo's pickles. Those aren't flashy ingredients, they're just the right ones. Seeing Downeast Cider on tap certainly didn't hurt either. What impressed me most wasn't that Waverly was trying to reinvent the neighborhood burger. It wasn't. It simply executed it exceptionally well, with enough confidence to let good ingredients and thoughtful choices do the talking. Charlestown wouldn't just lose a burger if Waverly disappeared. It would lose one of those neighborhood places that quietly makes a neighborhood feel like itself. You come for a well executed meal, but you leave feeling like you've experienced a small piece of Charlestown. Places like that are a lot harder to replace than a good menu.

I really, really, REALLY wanted pancakes. The website said brunch goes until 3. We get there at 2:50. They said they were no longer serving brunch and they've moved to their limited menu, because brunch ends at 3. You can imagine the puzzled look on our faces when they told us it ended at 3pm but it's still 2:50pm. They said we would have been fine if we were 5 minutes earlier. Weird that 2:45 is fine but 2:50 is not. We were annoyed, to say the least. But we were hungry, we didn't know what else was around, we needed to eat, and it already took us 30 minutes to get here in an Uber. Two guys came in after us, also before 3, who were also really excited for brunch. They too were shut down. We ordered off the limited menu. It was okay. It was fine. But that's not the point. If brunch ends at 2:45, then say it ends at 2:45. Don't say it ends at 3pm and then shut people down because it secretly closes earlier. I get that you guys want to switch the kitchen over and prep for dinner, but serve the food you say you're going to serve at the time you're going to serve them. Nobody came in after us and the other party that was also in before 3, so it's not like there was some never ending rush of people trying to get brunch. I also don't recall anyone else coming in before we left probably an hour. Poor communication and poor customer service.
