We go periodically, food has improved in past two years but the chicken wings are puny! Croutons are hard as a rock. But the main issue is, this place is DIRTY!! We went this evening and the available tables were filthy, the floor had old food on it, the windows nearby has ketchup and splatters. It's Tuesday, all this didn't happen today. This is a nice brewery located in an unassuming strip center near Garden of the Gods - don't let the exterior fool you. The inside is a feast for the eyes and they have a nice set of outdoor furniture for you to enjoy on a nice day. after a nice day touring garden of the gods - our group of 15 went to trinity brewing! we were a mix of four families with little kids, teens, and college-age kids. They put us in the GB Packer room which we loved, (go pack go!) - we were a mess ordering flights of IPAs, cheese curds, pretzels, and our lunch food - but we settled in and quickly came to love the vibe and the good food. the beer was great can't go wrong! we would recommend the philly steak sandwich, the beer cheese pretzel, the burger, the grilled cheese (soooo good) and the cheese curds. all entrees seem to come with FFs and they were great! they had high chairs, clean bathrooms and super friendly staff - great place for a group! thanks Matt and team for a fun lunch! read more

First time I've been here since new ownership. I'm sorry but there is a noticeable decline in the quality of the beers - at least the ones we had. For example Elektrick Cukumbahh is a shadow of its former self with hardly any cucumber on the nose or palette. Chilly water is a little closer to its origins in terms of maltiness but it had an unpleasant aftertaste. Same aftertaste in Slap Yer Mammy. Burger was ok (came with no tomatoes). After reading so many hot and cold reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. The place was kind of divey, yet hipster. Just busy enough but not too busy for a Friday night. Got there at about 5:30 and our very friendly waitress promptly gave us menus for both food and drinks. I don't drink beer very often to keep my girlish figure in check, but I had a One Ear and it was the perfect thing to drink while waiting for our food. A lighter beer, but still definitely a microbrew. Apparently they have recently changed their menu and I ordered a French Dip. It was... Freaking AWESOME... plenty of meat topped with Swiss cheese on a very fresh bun and flavorful au jus on the side. For a dollar extra I got sweet potato fries. No, not a small handful of fries, but like, the whole potato. I was incredibly happy with my meal. I was also happy with the service. It probably took 20 minutes to get our food after we ordered, but it was more time to drink the beer. Not what I would call slow, really, even though the kitchen is quite small. All the negative reviews I read that made me worried about this place were not true to the experience I had this evening. My dinner companion ordered the southwest burger, and liked the burger, but we both laughed because it was this small fat patty on this fresh bun that ended up being about twice the size of the meat patty. Kind of like what you would make if you made it home... Not smooshed out properly to ratio it out to equal meat to bun, but obviously fresh. Halfway through the meal the manager came and checked on us to make sure we were happy with our meal, too. From reading the reviews I got the feeling that there was something that went down a few years ago that pissed a lot of people off, and I don't know if this is the same ownership these days, but I was happy based on my experience tonight and would absolutely come here again for both the beer and the food. I do agree with many of the comments that the price is kind of high for what you get, though, and would try to hit happy hour for a better value. read more

I love this bar. The food is great and the beer selection is awesome. It's a small place with a great atmosphere. There's a review made by Lauren C of this place on the same date where they made some claims here I'd like to clear up. This how the night actually unfolded. I went here to support my team tonight. Three people sat at the table next to us and were cheering for the other team. My wife tried to be friendly and said "oh rivals," and the guy immediately just started talking crap downplaying the competitiveness of the series. I made a point to counter what he said and left it at that. He later started using the "R" word, and my wife told them that wasn't cool. Also some very strange expectations about people honoring veterans as though it's something people can tell you're a veteran just by looking at you - LOL. Just a few bullies playing the victim. We definitely addressed the way these people were acting directly despite what they are claiming. I brushed it off and continued watching the game. A few innings later, the guy started using homophobic slurs about our team's pitcher and then also about us. My wife told them that wasn't cool to say those words, and the girl called my wife the B word. At that point, I'd had enough and went and told the staff. They were pretty fed up with them as well, because they were rude to the waitress when they were told they had to order at the counter (even though there are signs everywhere explaining that's how service works there). When the bartender confronted them about what they were saying, they tried to play dumb and pretend that the guy was asking them about how the food was. They pretended that none of the things they had said had happened. After the bartender walked away, the guy said one more homophobic word, and the bartender kicked them out. On the way out, the gentleman was kind enough to flip me the bird about six inches away from my face. I'm glad this place shares the same values and doesn't tolerate bigotry, bullying, and classless behavior. These are tough circumstances to handle on the job, and I commend them for it. read more

It's been a bit since I've been to trinity. I stopped by last week. I always enjoyed the beers.. Slap your mammy, on cask was my favorite..there have been others I enjoyed too. The challenge was previously the menu was eclectic and I couldn't get my wife to go there for lunch. Ownership has changed and the menu is more "standard"... pizza, sandwiches and such. While eclectic was fine with me, now I'll be able to get my wife there. They still had slap your mammy on cask..I hope that continues...the saisons they used to have (I believe) are moving out. Right now the process for dine in is to find a vacant table with a number marker, decide what you want to order from the QR code/ scannable menu, then take your number to the bar to order and pay. The pumpkin ale was not heavy or syrupy and was more pumpkin spicy (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice). The peaches n cream hard seltzer was light and peachy upfront but had an odd after taste. Lots of vegan options on the food menu! Vegan corn dogs, impossible burger, vegan Buffalo chicken pizza, etc.. The vegan Buffalo chicken pizza was good. The crust was soft and chewy, the cheese tasted like the daiya brand, and you definitely got a decent punch with the Buffalo sauce. We went here for drinks on a Friday night and were impressed by their huge drink menu! They have something for everyone including beers, ciders, wines, and cocktails. The drinks were fine, nothing impressive. The best part was the patio! Nice chill environment with cute string lights at night. The downside was that they have a side room with karaoke, and it was hard to escape the sound of the bad singers! A door to the karaoke room was open to the patio, and there was an archway without a door to the karaoke room as well. No matter where you were, you could hear the bad signing from drunk people in that room. The other downside was no air conditioning. We had to move inside when it started raining, but they had several fans across the inside to try and keep it cool which were not super effective. We did enjoy having some games to choose from, we played trivial pursuit for a while as we finished our drinks. It was still a good experience, but might try a different brewery in the area next time. read more

27 Jun 23 - five of us visited this brewery after our Tuesday meeting. The sign said when you walked in that you had to order at the bar so we all did and sat outside because it was shaded. I ordered the sandwich Cubano with a side salad and thought my sandwich did not have enough meat in it nor any cheese but my side salad was okay and so was the ranch dressing. Eva ordered the Brussels sprouts and got a big portion of sprouts which she shared with some of the girls. Teresa ordered a Marguerite pizza and also shared her pizza with anyone who wanted to try it. Liz got the cheese garlic knots that came with a delicious sauce as a appetizer and also shared her knots. She also had a pickle pork sandwich with barbecue sauce with green fries. The sauce that came with the garlic knots was so good that they dipped the Brussels sprouts in it and the pizza. Rebecca had the Trinity burger with French fries. Service was good because we did not have to wait long for our food but we had to get our own water & glasses. After we ate we had to go back to the bar to get our receipt and add our tip and two of us got our military discount. The chicken fried salad bowls that I saw go by looked a lot better than my sandwich. We sat outside and found their tables were uncomfortable. read more

Wow, this place has changed for the better under new ownership. Matt and all the staff, especially Desert and Abbie, are super friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. There were SO MANY choices of beer and they all have a unique Trinity twist to it. I recommend trying the Brutus, an IPA with a Chardonnay flavor. The food was also VERY good. Collectively, our group tried the pickle fries (best I've ever had), bloated frites, mac n cheese with Buffalo chicken, and the imperial stout brownie (giant and very rich). New to the springs and this has kind of been my hang out spot. Great beer selection and good food. I've made friends with almost all the bartenders here I think. Abbie, Ashley, Jason and Joe have all been great. Met Seth and Shaun tonight and they seem dope too. Great friendly environment and always a good time with this place. Beer is good that's it. Terrible service, They post a couple signs about opening a tab and don't tell you that every transaction is an open tab. They swipe your card and give it back to you. Just ordered food and left and was charged with 45% tip because I didn't "close my tab" my pizza was filled with raw dough and wings were overcooked. Good beer that's about it. Make sure to read all signs around and don't expect them to hell you out on anything. In short they don't do the normal thing most bars do by asking you if you want to open a tab or close out the transaction. They automatically open a tab for you and swipe your card. You have to rely on reading signs yourself which is somewhat understandable. After your done you have to go and check out and close your tab. Even if you just ordered some food they will open a tab. Not telling you what they are doing, not asking you if that's what you wanted. I called the store after I saw an outrageous charge on my credit card and the person I spoke to was incredibly rude. Placed all responsibility on me for not reading and became incredibly condescending. I can take some responsibility for the mistakes but not all of it and should not be treated as such as the customer. Trinity brewery has great tasting stouts and sandwiches. I had the roast beef, which was delicious and filling. Our son and girlfriend had the loaded nachos, which is advertised as an entree, but the size is more like an appetizer. They are very stinchey with the meat on the nachos. Nachos are not worth $15 for the size and lack of meat. Also, flights are priced by individual tasters, no discount here. Also, the staff was not in a hurry to serve us, and when they showed up they took all of our orders except my sons. We are not visiting this place again. read more

wow wow wow, if you're in the Colorado Springs area for a day trip trinity is a must!! BOTH beer and food menus are absolutely stacked. Everyone loved their food and the burger I had was delicious. I love how they're all 'create your own' where you get to pick your two extra toppings - very good idea. Their sauce game is absolutely rediculous. I love sauces so I had to try a few out and they all blew me out of the water. The Trinity sauce is godly, I think they said it's ketchup, BBQ, and sweet chili sauce but whatever it is was so amazing that I tried to buy a tub to take home. We use this facility occasionally for our Tuesday afternoon group. They are understaffed as is typical for most places, they resolve this by having orders placed at the bar and menus are clipboards that you take back to your table or use there. We usually find that meeting at 4 PM we do not require reservations and usually get the back room pretty much to ourselves. They will turn the sound off in the back room when we are pretty much it. Sometimes we show up and back room is being used by a group and unavailable, but the front bar area still works, just not as quiet. Supposedly we are to order our refill drinks and food at bar, but usually a server shows up to take care of us after initial bar orders. They do require a credit card to open tab, but it is immediately returned and their automatic system works flawlessly. If we are leaving individually, we have to stop at bar and settle up, but when we wind up as a group the server brings their device over and we settle in turns, which is nice. The one thing I don't like is their ketchup. It is some sort of different one, possibly made in house, but I just don't care for it and would prefer that they either get a different custom ketchup or use a national brand one. Not a huge concern, of course. On nice days some of us early-birds have used patio until our group is assembled. It is quite nice. read more

I had to give one star because it's the only way I can write a review. Otherwise, I would not be able to inform the future consumers of how my hubby and I felt discriminated on. The visit started out well enough; I was informed about the process of ordering. I scanned the QR, hubby and I decided what we wanted, and I went to the bar to order. A female server took my order and I informed her where hubby and I were seated. Server apologized about the kitchen staff being slammed and how she thought my order will take about one hour. I informed her it was okay. Hubby and I patiently waited and after a little over one hour, the same server who took my order came to our table and asked if we were doing okay. I asked her to check on our order as it has been more than one hour at that point. When she returned, our orders were in take-away bags. Server asked me to come to the bar to check out. I was surprised as at this point, we were so hungry and wanted to eat. Also, there was never any plan to take the food out. I never informed the server about wanting my food for take-out. If that was my intention, I would have never waited inside the restaurant to be forced to listen to the loud noise they referred to as music NOR potentially expose myself to coronavirus by being inside the restaurant with other customers in tables that were not 6 feet apart. But I digress; I was shocked then angered by the suggestion that I take my food out. (In fairness to the female server, she did apologize profusely for misunderstanding me). Server apologized several times and I admit I was not in the mood to accept the apology at the time she was verbalizing said apologies. I was not rude nor did I say anything demeaning; I was rolling my eyes at the attempts and did not respond. Since the hubby knows how I get when angered, he was the one responding to the server. Server gave us utensils and napkins to use to eat our food. A male server (maybe he was a manager or someone of decision-making abilities) approached our table and stated he knew about the "misunderstanding" and that he apologizes for the inconvenience. He added he was going to ensure something was taken off the final bill for the inconvenience. I can understand why the female server did not (perhaps) understand my reaction to the take-out presentation of the food. I could have explained my reaction if she or the male server took the time to speak with me. After more than one hour of patiently waiting for our food, I had plenty of time to observe how a different (from the manager/owner) male server spent considerable time talking to the two tables with a White couple at each table - next to our's. Both couples were offered drinks and were served refills as appropriate. The one time this male server passed our table, he asked if we were okay while he was walking away. And then, a table of seven White customers sat at the table in front of our's. They came 30 minutes after we ordered our food. They did not even have to approach the bar to order food or drinks. The male server (manager or owner) spent copious amounts of time taking their orders and bringing them refills throughout the time we were waiting. I counted at least three times the table of 7 - was brought refills on their drinks. On the other hand, not once did any server offer to refill my hubby's Coke. Perhaps my hubby's order of Coke did not deserve refills? So when our food finally came in take-out, I felt I was being (whether unconsciously or consciously) informed I was not good enough to eat inside the restaurant because I was of the wrong color of skin. (I am Asian and hubby is Pacific Islander). I knew I had to pay my tab at the bar as I was informed beforehand. I was following the female server with my eyes as I saw her look my way at least two times but she opted not to approach me then. I was ready to explain my reaction to the take-out presentation then. After about 5 minutes, a different female server approached me and assisted me in the check-out process. She showed me the check (which I am attaching a copy of the receipt here) and informed me "it looks like you were comped an entree." I informed her that was not the case as I came in with a coupon for a buy one, get one free entree when I placed my order with the original female server. So the manager/owner's word about comping something did not really happen. Additionally, I was charged $2 for soup and $2.50 for the beer cheese soup I intentionally ordered. I also intentionally ordered the bowl of tomato soup which cost $7. So I have no idea why there was a charge of $2 for the soup orders? And of course, as the last nail on the coffin, the table to 7 White customers happily started on their food orders as hubby and I were finishing our's. I am very disappointed about individuals who remain ignorant about matters of racial competence to this day. Never returning to this place! I will never allow myself to be subjugated ever!!! read more

First time here; loved it! I had the Cajun Hurricane and it was delicious; not to strong or weak and delightful flavor. Garlic cheese curds with marinara, BBQ wings were very good; plentiful, crispy, and tasty. Blue cheese dressing was fresh and chunky. We ended with the fry bread fries with chocolate and caramel sauces. Although fried, not greasy, crisp and crunchy and with the right amount of sweetness.
