This one was a mixed bag. On the good side, the rooftop patio has a great view, is quiet, and plenty of seating. Some of the beers were good as well but nothing that stood out a lot. There was a good repuar and they checked in often even with an event going on. The banmi itself was just decent. I liked the smokiness of the tofu and the sharp tang of the veggies but there was not much texture on most of it. The bread and tofu could have used a bit of a grill or fry. OCC Brewing is aptly named, sitting pretty along this lovely stretch of businesses in Old Colorado City. My experience was fine, no more no less. TLDR: beer is good, food was meh. The selling point is the rooftop, which I've only seen through photos. The night I visited was fairly cool out, so even though they had the garage doors open, they ended up closing them to keep warm. The downstairs taproom is a good size, open floor plan with plenty of seating for all types of crowds. Brown ales were calling and you better believe I answered the call! I tried both the Leroy Brown Ale and Knight Rider Stout. These were enjoyable sippers and I cozied up at the bar. Green Chili Bier Cheese Soup ($7.00/Cup$9.00/Bowl) // A classic bier cheese soup with green chilis. A great idea in theory. In execution, this wasn't good and I don't say that lightly. I could picture Gordon Ramsay spitting it out. I couldn't even finish it, and mom always taught me to finish my food. I was hoping this would warm me up on a cool evening. Often when I travel I enjoy checking out local micro breweries, and OCC Brewing did not disappoint! The day we happened to visit was a festival, I can't remember the name, but we weren't expecting it and it did change up how they did their menu for that day. My husband and I were hoping to try a flight, but flights were not offered due to simplifying things for their staff on a busy weekend. All of that being said, the whole reason I'm giving them five stars is because of the staff working - they were incredible. Fortunately, it was a happy mistake as we really enjoyed our food. I had the penne pasta, which was loaded with mushrooms and flavor. First time to OCC...the area of town and the brewery. We both enjoyed one of their porters. Having looked at the menu online, we were surprised to see most of the dishes that interested us not on the regular menu. Turned out it was 1:50, so we were still seeing the brunch menu. Our waitress gave us the lunch menu, and by the time we were ready to order, she was able to put it in for us. I had the bulgogi sandwich with corn side, while my wife had the chicken salad sandwich with fries. My sandwich was bigger than it appeared in pics, so that was good. There could've been more meat, and there was a lot of bread, but the meat was juicy, and the sauce was tangy and flavorful. Corn was really good too. My wife liked her chicken salad sandwich but thought there was too much bread, which was also a little dry. Fries were fine. Service was consistent throughout. This was a really cool spot that I'm glad I checked out when I was in the springs. It's a pretty huge bar with a whole downstairs seating area, an outdoor seating area, and a rooftop patio (which I recommend during good weather) that had a great view of the mountains. The food was par and pretty heavy. The beers on tap had some pretty hilarious names and tasted great. The bartenders were friendly as well. The only thing I have to say that was negative about this place was that when I went up to close my tab, they gave me the wrong bill, and I ended up paying for some completely random person's food and drinks. They then took 10-15 minutes to reverse this transaction and give me my original bill. I'm glad I noticed this since they did not give me an itemised version of the receipt. We had plans to eat at the bbq place next door but they were closed. As we stood outside wonder what to do, the bartender at OCC Brewing came out to check on us and lured us in. This isn't just a brew pub with bar food. Everything they make is elevated. We ordered 2 Santa Fe Caesar salads to go. While we waited, we had some local craft beer and their fried pickles. We spent here a sunny Saturday afternoon, the place was pretty full but not packed, the large doors were open and the atmosphere was very good. The place is not too loud, you can easily have a conversation. We wanted to sit in the roof patio area which is very nice, but it was too windy. The service was excellent, I wish I remembered the server name, there were two girls who took care of us and everything was perfect. I also had a glass of their "Bad B*ches" IPA and it wasn't bad at all (ha ha). The brewery is located at the very end of the "busy" area of the main street a block after the park, so if you're touring the main area, it's worth going a block further to get to this place. read more

Visited OCC Brewing for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back twice since. We still can't believe that we haven't discovered it before. To see if they can get away with service me sloppy chips with wet sauce. No beans. Try to charge extra for meat. No care. No craft. No thought and passion. The owners are off somewhere laughing with pockets full of money. Taking about how funny it is that us working class are falling for thier money saving bullish tricks and how much they made off us losers. We've been walking past OCC brewing for as long as we've been coming to Old Colorado City. Today we had family in town and on a beautiful day, we decided to stop in. We should have kept walking. The service, while friendly, was garbage. Our food took over an hour to arrive. It was all horribly overcooked. Brunch items were cold and stale. Water smelled like it came out of a puddle out back. Beer cups were dirty. Mine had a hair. But hey, the check came quickly and they had a really cool surprise "kitchen appreciation fee" and a charge for mustard. I got the peanut slaw with my Bahn Mi which was good but a bit heavy on the sauce. The fries I got were good but a little cold. I have came here each time I visit the Springs area and love it every time! The atmosphere is lively and fun, service has always been wonderful and the food is wonderful. This time I decided to try the chicken fried duck, and it was phenomenal!
