The children ministry has evolved into its own service on Sunday mornings. It's wonderful because kids are learning how to worship God. The praise and worship team has grown to a deeper level of worship being more sensitive than ever to the Holy Spirit. The pastor, who was my youth pastor for 4 years, John Wright, preaches messages that are powerful and with conviction. Pastor John has a vision to bring people together; that's why we have multi-cultural events to learn about each other's cultures and we have movie/comedy nights. Please keep in mind that he is very careful in what movie or comedian he chooses to share with the congregation - he just doesn't go by what the reviews say. There are so many more great things I can say about this church, but I'll stop now. You will always be welcomed at this church!

Plenty of parking and they they have bathrooms in the school plus in the school on Sunday they have the best Catholic store, they sell so many beautiful rosary, first communion gifts, an incredible inventory of religious artifacts and so many beautiful biblical books including some beautiful Bibles. The Church itself has several seating arrangements and the church is full of windows so there is an abundance of spectacular light coming throughout the entire Church, this has become my new church.

Kids events are always fun (and random; there's been Fortnite Laser tag and Wrestling Matches) and still get in a good chunk of Jesus. Regular service's (9 and 11) music and lesson are always enjoyable and anyone who comes in can take something out of the service. And Holidays (especially Halloween and Christmas Eve) give a safe and fun place to bring your kids and remind you the reason for the season. Since shelter and place they do online streams which have been helpful! Definitely should try it online or when things open up.

The smoke usage during the mass can be distracting and can bother people. Also the blessing with the holy water by the priest can hit you hard (we all have seen the priest whack the choir member in the eye with that). I attend either Saturday 5pm or Sunday 8:30am, 10am, 12pm, or 5:30pm mass. Not hard to find seating at either time. Parking can fill up at the church lot.

She raised her voice and yelled and when she was corrected for acting the way she did, she did. Not like it. Honestly Pastor Hodge handled the situation and was calm the entire time and he was not escorted out he left! What I've learned is that some people don't like to be corrected for their wrong doing and she was clearly one of those types of people. I'm glad Pastor Hodge corrected her instead of someone else it could have gone another way ! Needless to say don't issue out something that you can't take little old lady (whom is the real wolf in sheep clothing)! Come to Zion Hill you won't be let down!

Please let me share SOME of the things Pastor Hodge has done for the community: host annual block party, feed the homeless/community, assist homeless in finding shelter, walk the streets of Bayo Vista housing development, holiday meals, toys/backpack for the kids. My children loved the kids services, and I was shocked at how all of the topics of the adult service pertained to my current thoughts and beliefs. I really appreciated how relatable everyone was, and no one seemed pushy. To top it off, they served a feast of a lunch with polish sausages, hot dogs, hot links, veggie dogs, chicken, fruit, and an assortment of sides fit for a queen. Haha! We will be back, for sure.
