I had been having pains in my neck for a long while. I never sought physical therapy for it,…read morebecause, well, physical therapy in my past normally meant leaving my home far too often to treat my pain with painful, boring, and ineffectual moves. Once taught the exercises, I was normally left to my own to do them in the clinic with an occasional glance in my direction from one of the therapists. After hearing a presentation by Jena Bratton, PT, I decided to give her clinic a try. It was so different from my past experience! After a thorough assessment, she had recommendations right away for me. After evaluating pictures of my work station, she had suggestions on how I could rearrange things to reduce the fatigue on my neck and back. I immediately felt a difference after following her advice, which made it easier to sit at my desk and do what I need to do. Every visit, Jena asked me about how I was feeling, and included appropriate treatment to my plan of care for that day. This clinic is truly a hands-on treatment facility. I was given exercises to do at the clinic, and someone always came by several times to be sure I understood what I was doing and how the movements would improve my situation. I did not feel ignored at all. Two firsts for me, cupping and dry needling weren't scary at all, truly painless, and helped relieve my overall pain. All in all, the exercises, cupping, dry needling, tens therapy, heat, and counseling improved my neck issues tremendously, and increased my range of motion. A big THANK YOU to Jena, Maddie, and Jacob of Bratton Physical Therapy for welcoming me to the clinic, and improving my quality of life! I recommend this clinic to everyone looking for a great place to improve mobility and relieve pain, all in a comfortable yet professional setting with caring staff.

I cannot recommend the Memory Care Facility at Summerfield. If you choose to put a loved one there,…read moreplease have video surveillance in their apartment. It's the best way to know who's going into their apartment & whats going on. Keep an eye on the CNAs. It's awful when you see a CNA searching thru your dad's closet & items, even looking at the sizes in his hats. One CNA went into his room at 1am, turned on all the lights, woke up my dad & asked where his laundry basket was. We were misled on the care of our father. Nighttime medication given in daytime (nurse refused to give pm meds), showers 3x/wk (instead once or twice/wk), housekeeping 1x/wk (only came 2x in 8wks). My dad fell once in the main dining room & once in main hallway, since no one watches him. Broke his hip & femur. We moved our dad out of that overpriced apartment (awful smelly carpet) right after. Never again.

The grounds are beautiful. I also have my miniature Schnauzer with me and she loves the staff and all the residents. I do believe they love her too. They have a wonderful doggie park. This faciliity is always clean and well taken care of. I don't think you can find a better place to live in the area. My son also feels like I am living in a great place and he doesn't have to worry about me. I am very happy at Summerfield Sr. Living. Shirley S.

He had…read moreone nurse at night that yelled at him if he called for assistance with the call light system, then she just quit checking on him. He developed an unstageable pressure ulcer that he has had to have debrided a few times due to the amount of slough in the wound. With this said, keep in mind, he is in his early 40's and suffered a major stroke which left him with no use of his lower extremities. The CNA staff are not caring at all, he did rave on the compassion a night male nurse had for his condition..

Where we ended up was back at West Jefferson hospital with another serious UTI that they were oblivious was even occurring. My sister and I grew increasingly concerned about my wife's deteriorating condition and the lack of concern from the so-called nurses and management there. The last straw was when they started getting angry at my sister for trying to find out what was happening to my wife and why they weren't doing anything. Being there was stressful and nothing short of a nightmare. We saw enough during the day that we were terrified of what was happening at night, when we weren't allowed to be there. We saw a doctor ***ONCE*** and the NP ***VERY RARELY***, and only after practically begging to do so each time. Had we not requested an ambulance to take us out of there, they may have found her dead on the rare occasion that they actually checked on her at night (this coming from a member of the staff). I just received my second bill from them. It pisses me off to no end to pay it, when I actually should be suing them, but I guess I eventually will. One star is being too kind for the incompetence we witnessed. PATHETIC!
