The saying "If it's not broken, don't fix it." applies in this recent experience at Trio. My wife and I come here once a week since they have opened and always get a matcha in our order because they are delicious. Not anymore. Without warning, the matcha is no longer sweetened and a heads up would have been great. Regular unsweetened matcha is fine and all but I would order it that way if I wanted it like that. To change up a drink that has been the same for a year and make it worse without notice seems concerning. Now, I'm assuming you have to pay extra to get flavoring or sweetener added? As if $7-$8 isn't already absurd. Please fix this. Side note: I overheard someone say the matcha was terrible when they recently ordered it and they normally love it. Seems like we aren't the only ones that weren't informed. Supporting local business is our goal but not for a product we no longer enjoy. read more

People seem to be mad that the coffee shop that used to be here is gone and they took out the plants and painted it red and white. I personally rated the old place at 1 star because it was terrible with terrible customer service Trio however is a wonderful replacement! I've had them in Palmdale and liked it. But now they are in quartz hill and somehow they are Even better than when they first opened. I've had the iced tea with watermelon. I've had the Mazapan Latte. Do not come here, this place used to be good but my past two visits the drinks were terrible. Watered down and no cold foam when you ask for it. The staff is unfriendly on top of it all, they seem bothered to have to do their job. I sent a family member to get drink for us today to give it one more shot, they forgot the cold foam and the drink was disgusting. Anything and everything here is amazing, including the service! On my last visit I believe I ordered a beach match. Hope I'm not butchering the name. It was matcha, vanilla and coconut milk....YUM. The Spanish lattes are all incredible as well. Matcha with strawberry foam inks another hit. I could keep going. Food is also fantastic! Any of the bagel or croissant sandwiches will not disappoint. I was super excited when I seen Trio Coffee House, would be down the street from me. I could order ahead before work! That excitement quickly went away. I've ordered ahead 5 times this past two months and maybe had my order be ready once. All the other times I've had to wait for them to make my order. This morning I went in thinking hopefully they have it ready, only to find out the system was down again 30mins after opening. The place was packed with people some were frustrated due to system being down. So it seems it's a continuing problem. I decided to have them cancel my order which I couldn't even do because of their system being down. I was told I would receive a phone call once my order was canceled which I never received. I tried calling and there was no answer. I'll have to try again tomorrow. I'm giving them two stars for their costumer service they are always very apologetic. I would give them a couple more times and update my review accordingly...wish me luck! read more

I completely agree with the reviewer below, there was absolutely no need to change the matcha. The sweetened matcha was perfect the way it was and honestly one of the main reasons I kept coming back. I usually go to Trio all the time. I LOVED their matcha up until today. I'm not sure what used to be in the drink but it's not there anymore. They have changed the recipe from it being sweet to it being bitter. I always say I'm going to get a coffee but end up with mouth watering matcha instead. Today it was not mouth watering. If the recipe doesn't get changed back to what it was originally and got all the customers hooked I will not be returning as a customer. I will have to go find a new place that has delicious matcha instead. I know something changed because the worker told me it's not sweet and asked if I wanted to add sweetener. I have never been asked that ever. I'm sad that the matcha today wasn't what it was last time I went. I hope you can hear enough of us out about this. i've repeatedly tried this shop since i always want to support small businesses if possible and i've been disappointed each time ive come here. i walked in with no line ahead of me, had to wait 7 minutes to order, after ordering it took 32 minutes for my coffee to come out. i watched at least 5 people turn around and walk out after waiting so long to not even order! the baristas wouldn't even acknowledge your existence and it felt very unwelcoming. unfortunately after all of that both lattes i ordered had a weird bitter/sour taste. i wish i could happily support this business but it's become a waste of my time and money. read more

Last time I went I ordered a mazapán latte and a matcha latte. I've had the mazapán latte there before and it was really good. It had pieces of mazapán in it. This time it just tasted like all they did was add cinnamon syrup. It was so sweet and cinnamon tasting. It didn't taste like mazapán at all. The iced matcha latte was so sweet and fishy tasting. When using a bad quality matcha it could taste fishy so I assume they're just using a cheap matcha. The line is usually out the door and there's usually only 2 or 3 people working at a time. You'll have to wait for them to finish making previous orders until they make your order. You can order online but they'll charge you and extra fee for ordering online. They also charge extra for different milks and different flavors. It's really expensive for what it is read more

I've been a customer at Trio Coffee House in Palmdale for quite some time. While the service was okay at first, over time l've consistently witnessed how poorly management treats their staff. Employees are treated more like machines than human beings, with little regard for their well being. I've noticed long term, original employee I loved seeing being let go and replaced, only for the same cycle to continue. It's incredibly disappointing and honestly disturbing to see. Despite this, I continued to support the business because I enjoyed the coffee. I even decided to drive a bit further to try the newer Quartz Hill location, hoping for a better experience unfortunately, it was even worse. The service was absolutely horrible. The staff came off extremely rude, disrespectful, and had some of the worst attitudes l've experienced in customer service, especially the little red heads. On top of that, the drinks were extremely watered down and tasted gross, which was the final straw. Between the treatment of employees, the poor service, and the declining quality, I can no longer justify supporting this business. I truly hope management takes accountability and makes serious changes, because this place has a lot of potential but right now, it's a major disappointment. Do better. read more

I really wanted to love this place. T-R-I-O just opened in Quartz Hill, and I was genuinely excited to support a local small business. I stopped by today for the first time and ordered a hot coffee and an iced coffee. Unfortunately, both drinks completely missed the mark. The iced coffee tasted like plain water--no flavor, no coffee, just very watered-down. The hot coffee, on the other hand, was extremely strong and muddy, like it hadn't been brewed with any real balance. I went back to ask the barista if they measure for iced coffee, and she told me they actually don't serve iced coffee, so she just tried her best to make it. That was a bit surprising. She was very kind and did refund my drink, which I appreciated. The customer service was friendly and professional--no complaints there at all. But from a product standpoint, there's definitely room for improvement. I would love to see management provide some training and consistency in brewing. Coffee should be measured for quality, especially if you want to build a loyal base. Offering more than one brew or roast--like a light, medium, and dark--could also give customers more variety. I had high hopes for T-R-I-O, and I still believe in supporting local businesses. But at the end of the day, the product has to be good, and unfortunately, this visit didn't do it for me. I won't be returning for now, but I truly hope they improve with time. read more

Went back to the barista requested to have my drink resteamed and a bagel and cream cheese which I paid for. There was about 8 people that came in their orders were taken and my drink which needed to be resteamed was added to the end of the people that came in. At this point I requested a refund. The coffee is good. I've gone a handful of times. It's tiny and sitting by the windows (the only indoor seating) is sooo hot! And I didn't feel comfortable outside because another time I went there was a homeless man sitting outside smoking weed. They did tell him to put it out but he was aggressively talking to himself. I understand mental health and all but I didn't feel safe to sit out there with my baby. But again food is good. But the place is super tiny. read more
