I reached out to North Hollywood Party Rentals for a baby shower in North Hollywood. I sent two contact forms through the website and tried to call several times. As I was about to give up, I finally reached a human and he told me where to email my order request. We rented folding tables, black folding chairs, white linens, heaters and glasses. Having done this, I did receive a quote back later that day but it was from Trio, not North Hollywood. The prices on the North Hollywood website were all slightly lower and I was disappointed that I was being charged differently by a company I was not trying to contact. I also asked for some clarification on the table linens as they looked like proper table drapes (with rounded ends to they cling to the shape of the table) on the pictures on the site and I wanted to make sure that was what we would receive. He assured me we would. My client signed the contract and tried to make the payment but had trouble using her credit card from NY. I called and spoke to a lady who said that we could pay in full by check when the rentals were dropped off. I also confirmed with her that I could finalize the order up until the Thursday before the truck was loaded. Week of the event, it was pouring rain and we were looking at have to change the venue or possibly rent a tent. I tried called every number I could find for them in any email or on both their websites. Only one number had a VM box set up and no one ever answered me. Every other number had voicemail boxes that were not set up. I also emailed twice with no response. Finally, on Thursday, I reached a human. He told me that there was no option to leave a voicemail and they didn't answer their phones because of "spam calls". This makes no sense to me... While we were on the phone, he walked me through how to find the quote and request the changes to the order and sent me a new invoice and contract to approve. I did all that and asked when the rentals would be delivered on Saturday and he said between 12 and 2. Saturday rolled around and I had two staff waiting to receive the rentals. When 2:30 rolled around, I called again and the same gentleman told me the rentals would be there before 5. When they came, the condition of them was fine for the price (not upscale, chairs scratched, holes in some of the cushions, etc.) but the linens I had been assured would fit the tables properly to the floor did not and we had to improvise some stuff to make sure no one would trip on the long rectangular ends. Pick up was the same with no prediction given. While some things were fine and our event came out great, overall, as an event professional, I would not choose to work with this company again as they did not make it an easy, customer friendly experience. read more

We had a very good experience with Trio. Their prices were fair and the chairs we rented were in excellent condition. The delivery and pick ups were organized and they arrived for both delivery and pickup within the times prescribed. The only issue we had was that we paid for chairs to have foot pads because we have hardwood floors and they scratch easily. When I checked the chairs before the crew left, the chairs did not have pads, the delivery people didn't know anything the pads and, they didn't have enough pads with them to cover each chair foot. I wanted to write a review of what a great experience I had working with Trio Event Rentals. They were able to accommodate our schedule to set up for the work holiday party. I was at the venue when they delivered the heat lamps and set up the lights. They were very nice and showed how to turn on the heat lamps and made sure they lit up. They set up the lights and adjusted them as well as suggested how to set up our holiday projector. They sent an incorrect linen so the tables were mismatched, and when I called to tell them of the error the man was pretty rude about it over the phone.
