I have gone to this store three times to drop off a return to Amazon. The first time the lady there…read morewas very kind. The last two times a second lady was not kind at all. She did not seem to want to take the package back and she "counseled" me that they had weight and size limits and only a certain amount of space to hold returns, even though the store is huge and the packages in the storage area could have been better arranged to hold twice what was there, with plenty of room for my packages with lots of room to spare. If only she cared enough to do that. She seemed to be one of those types of people who enjoy saying no, who enjoy making life harder for people. The nearest UPS store to me is more than 30 miles away. So not being able to drop my package at this CVS costs me a lot of time and money that I don't have. I asked for the manager the second time she did this and she told me she was the manager and even invited me to report her (I don't think she thought I would). Anyway I will probably never go to this store again and recommend that others avoid it as well, unless you like being mistreated. In my mind, either an entity is a drop off place for Amazon or it isn't. The entity should have enough space for a reasonable number of packages of reasonable size or it shouldn't be on the Amazon list. The last package I brought in was 35 pounds and was an inflatable kayak. In a store the size of this CVS, it should never have been an issue. Again, I think she is just a mean, power, control person and should be fired or at the very least trained to behave differently. I told her that she, nor the policy itself, is customer-service oriented. Finally I am not one of those people who complain about stuff. I've given many, many more positive reviews in my lifetime versus negative ones. I have to be pretty mad to write something like this. But I do get tired of people who use their power to abuse others.

Daughter had been there a week before and unfortunately her Dr office was closed at this time and symptoms continued and she hoped she'd get NP she saw previous who was very sweet, since she saw previous symptoms and could compare. If this NP doesn't like her job, should find another job. It was evident by her body language and lack of empathy she was not happy to see another patient. We asked for liquid antibiotic and she ordered pills, just an overall not a compassionate visit. I know people can have an off day and maybe this was the case, but every patient should be treated with kindness especially when they are not being unkind to you!

She had just been sent home on hospice, and while I was there saying what could be my final goodbye, she began experiencing severe distress. Hospice immediately called in comfort medications--medications that weren't optional, weren't for convenience, and weren't something that could wait until tomorrow. They were ordered to relieve the suffering of a dying woman. A family member rushed to your pharmacy and arrived approximately 10 minutes before closing. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of compassion, they were told the prescriptions would not be filled because it was too close to closing time. Your solution? Send the family to Chattanooga to find a 24-hour pharmacy. After making that drive during one of the worst nights of their lives, they were told the wait would be another two to three hours. Think about that. While a family was gathered around a dying loved one, instead of being able to focus on comforting her, they were forced to spend precious time driving from pharmacy to pharmacy because your store chose closing time over compassion. Hospice comfort medications exist for one reason--to prevent unnecessary suffering at the end of life. Every minute those medications are delayed is another minute of pain and distress that no dying person should have to endure. Policies matter. Hours matter. But humanity should matter more. I hope Walgreens management thoroughly investigates what happened and asks whether this is truly the standard of care they want associated with their name. No family should ever have to beg for comfort medications while saying goodbye to someone they love. To the hospice nurse who came out in the middle of the night and to Dustin Saylor for helping secure the supplies needed to care for Lisa--thank you. You demonstrated what compassion actually looks like. You were the light in an otherwise heartbreaking and infuriating night. Lisa deserved comfort. Her family deserved better. Walgreens failed them.

Inside the store, you will find some great Coke products for sale, some very cool old memorabilia, and then they also carry everything you would want in a small town pharmacy. They have a wide selection of Watkins brand products, too. If you're traveling in and around Cartersville to see the Tellus museum or the Etowah Mounds or something, it is worth a pit stop here. There is plenty of parking on the other side of the train tracks that run beside the store.
