My experience with this Medical Transportation service (usually for Senior citizens) could have been much better. On 12/8/15, approximately 5:45pm I called Medical Transportation Services, LLC. and spoke with Carlos and made an appointment for Medical Transportation Services, LLC to pick up my mother for her appointment 12/10/15 at 11:00AM. I also asked Carlos to cancel the appointment on 12/17/15. Usually, we get a confirmation call from the driver the day before. We did not get a confirmation call, so I called Medical Transportation Services, LLC and spoke with Tony around 5:25pm. Tony was unable to locate the transportation reservation in the system, but placed me on a long hold. He listened to the recorded call between Carlos and me on 12/8/15. After confirming that a reservation should have been made to pick up my mom, he apologized for the mistake and indicated Carlos should have made the reservation. He said that the person who could arrange for a transportation pickup in the morning was his supervisor, Aline Perez. Tony told me he would leave her a message to call me in the morning on my cell phone, and she would arrange pickup for my mother. Tony also confirmed he would also be working in the morning. On 12/10/15, the day of the appointment, I did not get a call from Aline in the morning, so I called Medical Transportation Services. I spoke with Hermes and asked if I could spoke with Tony or Aline Perez. He said Tony was not in and Aline was unavailable or in a meeting. After another very long hold, Hermes also listened to the recorded call and apologized for the mistake. I asked to speak with Jerome Mercer, but Hermes did not know him. I asked Hermes for Aline to call me back. I am disappointed with the numerous mistakes made by several employees of Medical Transportation services. At least 4 or 5 things that representatives said were going to be done were not done. Medical Transportation services needs to improved. They should also let people know that the phone calls are being recorded. Several places charge for missed appointments. Luckily, I was able to re-schedule. What I don't like is the workplace . Miami Dade Ambulance has a lot of potential and is currently expanding but its missing key components. This is what I noticed: Vital medications are often times out of stock, A lot of Medications within the box are often times expired, the time to clean and check the truck has been shortened to 15 minutes and this is not a sufficient amount of time to check the medications box, cardiac monitor, Iv pump, components within the cabinet, oxygen and backboard let alone clean the truck. But that isn't a concern to the managers because it's all about the $$$. 30 percent of the employees who drive that I've worked with, do one of the many things listed while driving speed (occasionally way into 80mph), watch movies while driving, text while driving, aggressive driving tactics like going lights and sirens while trailing directly behind a vehicle, 3 people I know of regularly fall asleep behind the wheel while driving( 1 of them was removed as a driver only after hitting 4 vehicles), or bag calls aka receiving a call and replying to dispatch but not responding to call until moments after could be more than 30 minutes. How can all of this be avoided? By placing dash cameras facing inside the truck and out and using tracking alongside regular drug screens. Dispatchers who receive calls need training. They obtain very little information from the facility or patient. It's very common to arrive at the pickup location and not be equipped with the necessary equipment to transfer or treat a patient. Paramedics EMTs and Drivers often times do not clean the stretcher, equipment used on patient or change the sheet between patients. Therefore there is a high chance of spreading communicable diseases which is especially detrimental to patients who are immunocompromised and have difficulty fighting and treating infections. like patients who have cancer, diabetes or HIV. Factors which can cause more complications for those patients. Lastly, inadequate used vehicles which are put together by other inadequate vehicle parts. These vehicles often times will stop at random locations or won't even start to begin with. The A/C occasionally doesn't work nor is the filter ever replaced. Ideally I wish for improvements to be made at this company so that they can reach their potential and the patients can receive the best treatment possible.

Annabel is a very caring professional. She exudes happiness and helped to cheer me up which, I think, helped me to heal. Always helping me with my needs even in the middle of the night and with a smile on her face. I also had a wonderful experience with Thaura Abdalia for several months. Thaura, also very professional and helpful and she is a gentle soul. Always willing to do whatever I asked to be helpful to me. Easy to talk to and my little dog picked up her good vibes and like to hang out by her, she'd get excited to see her when she arrived. I only saw Elizabeth Cruz for three days but I liked her immediately. Also very professional, and couldn't do enough to make sure my every need was taken care of. I would recommend any of these ladies, they would not disappoint. Granniesnannies apparently hires only the best. The company itself needs a little revamping of organizational skills and better technology to track things. This is the reason I gave only 4 stars. The caretakers would get 5 stars.
