I have been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost ten years now and have been part of great schools and also some bad ones. This is an awesome one... The owner Jason Laine is probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and will make you at home along with the staff and other students. The gym and its members may look a bit intimidating at first but do not let that scare you. The whole team is very hospitable and welcome newcomers of all sorts, athletic or not. The gym has everything you would need from a boxing ring, cage, Olympic weights and a large grappling area. I have been part of 3 gyms as a member in other cities and locally plus dropping in on countless others when I am travelling and I have to say Vision is my favorite. You cannot beat the staff or team. Just do not get scared away after the first week and really give it a go.

In the classes, we always start with a warm up. Then a discussion of the intent of the session. Usually there a a break to regroup on what the professor is observing, and discussion of points of emphasis. I also am impressed with all my training partners, especially higher belts i have worked with, having open discussions of what is working, effective and not. Of course the professors are always available for questions and clarification. On a personal note, I am very active 60 year old. I found my core strength is improving and other areas in need of strength and conditioning are exposed for me to work on. I try go get to classes 15-30 minutes early just to loosen up.

The classes we go to are three times a week at 5:15. It's very convenient. The classes are taught by Nathan, Max, and a few helpers. They are awesome. They're patient, kind, but direct with their teaching. My kiddo has learned so much and has finally found an activity he's really enjoying and builds his confidence. I felt welcomed within the first 5 minutes, and they don't have any kind of aggressive sales tactics. If you like it, you can sign up for a membership. This made me feel way more comfortable about singing up for 11 more sessions. All in all, the people were great, the workout kicked my butt, and I had so much fun!!
