ROBERT DAVIS MASONRY…read more OK, so I wanted some additions done to my block walls. I did the logical thing, I called the last guy I hired who did really good work about 18 months ago. Three calls and two emails later, and not a peep out of him. I hit the phone book and called a local guy. Two messages and not a peep. So I called a guy I used for other work and asked for a referral. He put me in touch with his father-in-law who did the local WalMart, and other big projects. He assured me he also did smaller jobs. Two messages and not a peep. What's with these people? Doesn't anybody want to work? Then, I glanced out my window and saw a truck pulling away from a neighbor's house having disgorged a load of cinder blocks. I ran from the front door, flailing my arms, stopping him before he could escape. I think I looked a little desperate. Bottom line, I learned that Bob Davis has many years of experience on new and occupied homes, and had done recent work for several neighbors. He scoped and measured my project, and within two hours he emailed a formal bid, which I quickly accepted, as it compared favorably with the cost of the other work 18 months ago. Bonus ... he could start the next day around noon! He and his crew showed up and started, and in just 48 hours had mixed and poured a small foundation, removed a metal gate, filled in that gap with masonry, raised two walls two and three courses respectively, and done an amazing job of cleanup when they finished. Their work was top quality, with everything flush and plumb, with all step-downs and corners beautifully finished. Bob is a very personable guy, he does top grade work, and his crewmen deliver the same quality (even when he has to run for supplies). Seeing the activity at my place, my next door neighbors also used Bob on a project in conjunction with mine, and they have him looking at a bigger project in the near future. Everyone around here is very happy with Bob Davis, and I highly recommend him. Top quality, modest prices, immediate service ... what's not to like? Dean Herrington

We contacted several landscaping businesses in St. George area and…read more A-1 was the only one who responded. They trimmed a very large tree that was covering our street sign and stop sign. They also repaired out gravel that let weeds take over our yard. It has been several months since they performed their most compete yard care and no more weeds. They were extremely reasonable in their rate and guaranteed that if any problems occurred to contact them immediately and they would stand behind their work. Again they were the only one who responded to our request for landscaping service (one company did give us a date and time and never showed up or called us). I would highly recommend their service. Dionicio provided me with a bid that beat out all of the other bids that I had received and he said his crew could start by Monday (I got the bid on a Friday). Not only did the crew show up at the exact time they promised but they were also professional and very kind and hard working! The job was finished within the 2 days that he had said it would take and the crew were efficient and especially clean!! They left my backyard looking better than it had when they started. This may have been a small job to some but it was 120 linear feet of block fencing with a new cap and it was very important to us to keep our dogs in and safe. We were so happy and impressed by the exceptional work that was done and we look forward to using them again when we are ready to put in sod! This photo is of the finished repair. This was a small repair but because it was custom décor in our shower we needed someone to do the repair who could replicate the pattern before the stones had come loose. Terry from A Jackson Masonry did a perfect job. He was so meticulous and conscientious in making sure the repair was done in the very best manner possible. He did the work in about 5 hours over 2 days. After completing the work on day 1 he came back on day 2 to touch up the joint work and make the job look perfect. On day 2 he was even going to remove the original joint material he used and replace it with a different material because he was concerned that it wasn't as good a material as he thought it should be. We ended up deciding on the original material rather than have him redo that part of the job. That is the level of integrity that Terry has in making sure his work is the best it can possibly be. We recommend A Jackson Masonry and thank Aaron for sending Terry to do this job for us.

He designed the hedge to visually decrease the impact of the building without destroying our view of the mountain range behind our home...no small feat. Not only did we reduce the impact of the building, but it GREATLY improved the landscaping design of our backyard. WIN-WIN., We don't do business with people we don't trust, like of respect. This is not the case with Patriots Landscaping, twice we've used them and twice they over delivered on their promises. We recommend them highly.

They were supposed to winterize the drip system and told me they had done it. Come spring the backflow had to be replaced because they never winterized it. Then it was rebuilt by Anthony. The backflow was never tightened up and leaked everywhere when it was turned on. They came back and fixed the backflow but never turned the water back on. So the whole season nothing was getting water. Every time I asked if everything was working and getting water I was told yes. So when I finally took it upon myself to check for myself, I discovered they never turned the water back on after fixing the backflow for the second time. So the whole spring and summer they lied to me about the plants getting water. So I'm working up a case with the Registrar of Contractors office.
