Sun City Plumbing & Heating has exceeded my expectations once again! From the office staff to the…read moreestimator and plumbers, every person I interacted with was outstanding. I had a challenging situation with a historic home that needed a new water main, complicated by a century of modifications to the old line. Jack went above and beyond to help troubleshoot and map out the intricate layout of the lines running to and under the home. With my background in construction, architecture, and engineering, I appreciated Jack's expertise in helping me understand this complex system, ultimately getting the water lines replaced and adding a filtration system with plans for future work. The communication throughout--from the initial estimate to the completion of the job--was phenomenal, even while I was managing the project remotely. This is the second time I've hired Sun City Plumbing & Heating, and it certainly won't be the last for my properties in my hometown of Las Cruces. Their workmanship and customer service are truly top-notch!

Tech shows up an hour early then says everything on our water heater is connected wrong including…read morethe gas line and that he would have to bring it up to code. Then says he would need to talk to his boss and leaves. Never calls back or shows back up. Mind you all I called for was to add a water supply line to our new refrigerator! Pretty straight forward our water heater is located in the kitchen next to the fridge and is very easily accessible to work on. Wtf is wrong with people?!? SOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL! I would be fine with bringing up to code and actually anticipated that. The issue with your service was the lack of professionalism and no response after we were told he would get back to us. No one likes to be left hanging especially when you're told there is an issue with how the gas line on your water heater was connected.

Jeff, I appreciate…read morethe formal quote. However, I did not appreciate the blatant disrespect you displayed on the phone. Yes, I should have obtained a formal quote from Brittany when I spoke with her, that was my mistake. The only thing I was asking from your team was if you'd be willing to work with me on the price (because I worked my quote to the client based on Brittany's quote). If you are not able to lower your price, that is completely understandable - we all have to make money, and you're not running a charity. But there is a proper way to communicate with someone. It's unfortunate that you felt the need to expel your day's frustrations on a potential customer. I was nothing but kind and respectful when speaking with you and Natalia - I never demanded anything from you or your company - you assumed I did - I simply asked if it was possible to work with me. You mentioned you record all calls, please take the time to review today's conversation. I remember having a very pleasant and smooth transaction the last time I worked with your company, which is why I reached out last week. I really hope your day gets better. Please, for the sake of your business, do not speak or treat your customers the way you've done to me.

This business, we've learned, has a great reputation among Las Cruces residents, so our outcome may…read morebe very atypical. We hired Maddox to correct a few items that appeared on the inspection report for our newly-purchased home in the Las Cruces area. We also hired other contractors, for whom I will be leaving much more positive reviews. Maddox, unfortunately, only managed to successfully complete (net) one among a handful of repairs, while charging us roughly the same amount of money that they estimated for all of them. My wife ended up working pretty hard to get the plumber out of our house, as at one point he had broken far more than he had fixed, and it was unclear that we would have running water at all when he left. When he did leave, he had fixed two small leaks and introduced a third, immediately adjacent to one he'd repaired. I get that it may be hard to hire competent people in today's labor market, but the plumber Maddox sent seemingly spent as much time making arguments for work that would perhaps bring our home into greater alignment with his wheelhouse, as he did implementing the needed repairs. We were offered, for example, an opportunity to have a very common plumbing product replaced with a bespoke hand-assembled substitute because a direct replacement would supposedly be hard to find. I wasn't on site but had my wife take a picture. I found a direct replacement online, available next day, in minutes. Had that been the only problem I might not be writing this review, but it went on from there. As it stands, we won't be calling Maddox back. That seems sad, as we've since met other far more competent contractors who do hold the company in high regard. If you do call them, I suggest you go over the work needed very explicitly and if you hear any words suggesting that they don't know what outcome they'll get, or that a thing you have should be replaced with something different because what you have is in some way inferior, don't let them take anything apart!
