I've come to this place on number of occasions to get things done to my car. With my recent visit I just need to do a safety on my car. They are fast and reliable and affordable. While I was waiting the owner wife asked how was my grandparents and to see if everything was okay. It's such a good feeling knowing that this business cares about my family which really showed. They took their car in and Dustin found that the drivers side rear break needed replacement. He did it at a reasonable price. They also asked him to take a look at the drivers front head lamp and panel (it's been loose). He took off the front tire to access (and this is where the problem starts). When the tire was replaced the lug nuts weren't tightened (at least after a few hours driving and hearing loud noises from the front end, my son was able to tighten them by hand. We took the car into a Subaru shop in grand junction (after being stuck there over night) and was told that the noise came from not tightening the lugs. After paying them to figure this out, I called Dustin to find out what the heck happened. Needless to say I wasn't happy because if the tire had come loose (it was that bad after the mechanic in Grand Junction got it up on a rack) it would have killed my son and his wife. Dustin said it wasn't his fault and hung up on me. So if you're looking for a mechanic my advice is to keep looking. Nothing to see here.

I've never written a Google review…read morebefore, but the negligence, lack of communication, and incompetence here were so extreme that I feel obligated to warn others. I brought my car in after a minor accident to repair a few scratches. My insurance issued payment the first day they had my vehicle. Despite this, they claimed they hadn't received the check and delayed starting work for two weeks -- even though my insurance agent confirmed it had been cashed just days after it was sent. After finally beginning the repair, it took another two weeks to complete what should have been a simple job. A full month later, with virtually no communication, my car was finally ready for pickup. When we arrived, an employee discreetly attempted to charge the battery before handing the car over. What they failed to disclose was that they had completely drained it. The car drove home, but the next day it would not start and displayed a major system warning -- issues that never existed prior to bringing it in. I reached out multiple times with photos and received no response. However, they had no problem repeatedly texting me asking for a review. To make matters worse, my car now has scratches that were not there before, my personal air freshener was thrown away and replaced with a cheap promotional one, and the interior was returned dirty. It's also concerning that while their Google rating appears high, their Yelp rating sits around three stars. Given my experience -- and even a local AutoZone employee mentioning that customers frequently come in after issues with this shop -- it makes you question the consistency of those positive reviews. Between the dishonesty, lack of communication, and refusal to take accountability, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. I would not recommend this business.

Within 30 seconds of talking with the guy at the front desk, I felt 100% comfortable, like I had been going there for years. With a simple oil change, they take pictures of key car parts and fluids and load them onto a free service for their customers where you can track your service and your car's systems' condition on your own. Love it. I also accidentally left my cell phone behind and they held on to it a secure place until I could get back for it. I have used a different mechanic for about 5-6 years, and they've lost my business to MPG. I came here the first time because of an oil change voucher I bought on Groupon. They were so great. Now I'm in the process of buying a used car and I called my regular mechanic to give him the heads up that I'd like to bring a car in for an inspection tomorrow morning, but I'd only have the car for a really short time because I haven't bought it yet. "Can you get me in around 10:15 tomorrow morning for a quick inspection?" "No. Sorry, John, but we'll fit you in when we can but it's first come first serve." So much for a business being loyal to a loyal customer who has dropped thousands with them over the years. MPG proved what they're like with a simple oil change. After leaving Los Angeles in my '99 Honda Civic during a heatwave, my car overheated and broke…read moredown. The next morning I heard the worst news from a shop in El Cajon. "Blown head gasket". The price? $1100. Waited 2 days in nearby hotel. Picked it up and paid and resumed my cross country trip. And a couple hours after I left I noticed my temp gauge going up and down. Especially when idling. I was concerned but continued on w/out using my AC through Las Vegas and into Utah. By the time I got to Provo, Utah, I could not sit at an traffic light for 30 seconds w/out the temp spiking. Fast forward to me taking it to another shop. I went to IM Auto Repair Shop who were right off Hwy 189 and close to 1-15 and it was here where I met Mary and Pablo and the first thing they did was tell me to relax, offered me bottled water, and that they were going to help me. And they did. They tested the fans, the radiator, checked the hoses, and spent close to an hour diagnosing what was wrong. They determined my engine coolant was empty (!). And they filled it and I took the car for a test drive and it is now working perfectly. When I got back they did not charge me and refused to take any money for their effort. Pablo and Mary at IM Auto Repair Shop are honest, kind and know their business. I would recommend them 100%.
