They have been dismissive, won't transfer me to the correct person or schedule an appointment to speak with a board member on why I can't receive a written response with detailed explanation on how we can't go further, Tonya constantly kept saying this was pending litigation & didn't ask any questions on the documents sent to her that showed that I have a large sum of money coming my way that will help me pay my rent from that point on, this grant is for emergencies & everything I sent was never looked at or questioned on the severity of the emergency

Let's say that that the truth for them then perhaps expand your business to an area where you don't have so many elitist. Where young families are starting out and can get comfortable, quality and yes a little worn furniture at a resonable price. This just isn't a one off with me look at some of the other responses. Never again will I donate anything to such and ungrateful organization. Last thing, let say that they have to use such discretion because they would have more furniture than they could store. But after recently learning of this non-profit organization called Sharing Connections, those lazy days are over. A fantastic organization that does so much good in the community. Sharing Connections provides furniture and household items for low-income families, helping them make their houses or apartments feel like homes. Most of these families are coping with a major crisis such as domestic violence, homelessness, job loss, or a financial crisis. This is an opportunity for community members to show gratitude for their own blessings by helping someone who could use a little extra help. Because they respect the dignity of the families they serve, they want to give them furniture they'd be proud to have in their homes. This means that they only accept items that have been gently used. Items that are not soiled or broken. I recently assembled dressers that were provided by financial donations to Sharing Connections. A great way for anyone to spend their time. There are lots of ways to help. --your money, your unused belongings, or even just your time.

had a great time here this evening for a holiday party i was invited to go to through my brother's…read morework. i know little of the big brother big sister organization, but from what i saw, it looks like an awesome thing. we got paired up with a child and went through different craft stations on the first floor of the building. we started out at the ornament decoration station and my 'friend' did an awesome job of decorating her holiday ornaments. it was fun watching and interacting with the children. from there we went to the holiday card making station and last to a thank you card making station. after a funfilled crafty time, we had group pictures and the pizza delivery came late so we all got to have some build-your-own sundaes filled with oreos, gummy worms/bears, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and other goodness... luckily the pizza came before the end of the party so everyone got to enjoy some pizza... there was plenty for 2nds and some probably had even more. santa came by with gift cards for the kids as well. i think everyone, adult and child, had a good time. hopefully i'll have another opportunity in the future to participate in something like this again...

The facility is spotless. All of the staff is very friendly and so accommodating. I have a kind of an odd schedule with work so they were very flexible with changing the days that I would need each week. My little one recently ran a temp and they called me right away to notify me and keep me updated on how she was doing. Even though it is heartbreaking to leave my child in the morning I know she is in a safe and healthy environment where she can have fun and start to socialize with other little ones. The costumes lights actors and actresses were superb. We have driven past this place thousands of times on Quincy and always wanted to attend. After talking to an actress' mom and the production coordinator Candy we learned that the troupe varies in age from kindergarten to high school. All kids get to perform which is incredible. The calibre was fantastic. My mother and myself are active broadway in Chicago goers. This is nice since it is oodles cheaper and closer to home. The next performance will be the little mermaid and we are excited to see that as well. Candy mentioned she does not spend much money on advertising, so I thought I would do a review to get the word out. She spends the money on new lights and equipment for the kids. This all started in her back yard and had grown. I adore stories like this. After I bought my tickets from brown paper tickets we were very excited to see the performance and it did not disappoint. The costumes and sets are created by the parents and were done perfectly. I can't wait for the next performance.
