"If you want to waste your time, this shop is the place to go. I've got over 40% of my body tattooed, always from professional shops. I went in for a $600+ piece and was asked for ID, which I don't have since I don't drive--a requirement I've never encountered at any other shop. When I showed them a photo of my ID and even offered to fax it to them for a physical copy, it wasn't good enough. I asked for a refund of my deposit, but they refused. Nowhere in the shop does it state they require IDs, and there's no mention of a no-refund policy. I had to involve the police department, and after the commotion, the shop owner agreed to refund my $60 deposit to my wife, who then used it to get a mini tattoo. This shop is absolutely trash and was unfortunately recommended to me. We only completed the transaction so we wouldn't lose the deposit. I highly recommend Electric City in Scranton instead--a better shop with nicer people, cleaner work, and cheaper prices. I've never had issues there, despite having over a hundred hours of ink. Bruce, the owner, has years and years of experience and is super talented. He did my very first tattoo back in 2005 when he was working in another shop. So glad to see he has his own spot now! I recently visited to have Ryan reinsert my nose piercing after I had to remove it due to surgery. Well, I waited too long (2 weeks) and he ended up having to re-pierce it. In one word, Ryan is AWESOME. He's very professional and knowledgeable and takes time to talk to his clients and explain any questions they might have. Derek and Selena are dope too...laughed and talked the whole time. After, we went to get advise about my nipple piercings and Ryan was amazing. Dena did really good work but the hand with a eye was a really good deal cuz it was a black friday purple book sale the letter p with a skull was 100$ for 30min to pricey for a normal price I wanna go back if she quotes me to high of a price I'm not cuz most tattoo artists around me are charged $80 to 100$ an hour with way more experience artists if we work out up better price I'm probably get more work done if not I'm happy with the work I got and we'll search someplace else read more

BEST NOSE PIERCING EXPERIENCE. I haven't had my nose pierced at all til yesterday, I get to the shop around 12-12:30pm, I get out of my car & walk inside the shop and ask simple questions before getting my nose pierce Questions like "Do you do nose piercings" The girl at the counter replies with "Yes" "Do you accept cash as a payment" The girl at the counter also replied "Yes" After asking those questions, the owners apprentice asked me "What kind of jewelry were you thinking about getting" Gem stone, Basic Stud etc I reply: "Just a basic stud" After everything was asked and answered, I was given paperwork to fill out, given my drivers license as an form of ID after filling out the paperwork 15 minutes afterwards, The apprentice gets set up, I go back and sit down in the chair and the apprentice cleaned, prepped and marked my nose, went over the protocol for nose piercing After the preparation steps were done, I get a feeling of having the receiving tube in my nose twice. By the second time, The apprentice pulls out the piercing needle, Stuck in, Didn't even hurt. This is the first time I have reviewed a business on Yelp. Prior to this I had been to Bruce several times for other tattoos, and he did a great job. This time, I had a really upsetting experience. I included a pic of what I asked for and what I got. I asked Bruce to use the reference and add a curved trunk, wreath of flowers, and slightly bigger eyes. He drew the trunk on free-hand after showing me the stencil, so I didn't see it- and he connected it to the ear- at first I thought it was just ink bleeding from the new tattoo so I didn't question it. The tattoo looked ok when it was first done, and I trusted Bruce, so I assumed it would heal fine. I did ask him to fix the right eye, and he said it was fine, so I assumed again that maybe the ink was just bleeding. Again, I trusted him. After the Saniderm came off I realized that it didn't look right at all. I went to speak to him, hoping for some sort of resolution. I was not aggressive in the slightest, as I am usually not a complainer and was nervous about even going to talk to him. He said the following during our conversation, "There is nothing wrong with that tattoo." "That trunk is perfect. Have you ever seen an elephant before?", "I did what you asked for. It looks like the reference picture." "I'll do a touch up and add some white to the eye and shade the face a little, but that's all I'm doing." I was shocked. I ended up having to go to another artist and pay more money for a partial cover up and re-work. This was so disappointing and not what I expected at all. I really hate to give anyone a bad review, but this is not ok. I don't want to see this happen to someone else- it ended up costing me a lot of money. I went to go get my first tattoo a month ago when to show jenna what it was she didn't tell me to put a deposit down and thought that's how it always is liked how she did my first one so I decided to come back for another now she's telling me I have to put a deposit down but that's not what you Made me do the first time so you made me think I didn't have it wanted to see the tattoo on my arm before she did it and she said I couldn't do that I had to put a deposit down and I wouldn't be able to get my money back if I didn't like it but that's not what the receptionist said won't be going there never again read more
