In my case though, I take my pup to his standard bathroom place first (and of course pick up after her) so she doesn't go when she is at the park here. Well, here's one green patch that gratefully escaped Joni's downcast fate. The park consists of five acres of bucolic landscaping, which hugs McCovey Cove right across from Oracle Park. I was already familiar with the walking path since it predates the park and provides an inevitable connection for the San Francisco Bay Trail. You can walk easily to Chase Center and Crane Cove from here. Beyond the trail is the Great Lawn, an acre of greenery that slopes toward the water and creates a natural amphitheater. There are other parts of the park like the Gathering Grove and the Shoreline Sands that function primarily as congregation areas during game days and cultural events. Its mixed quite a bit, yeah, there are asian guys playing too. lol. They have an OPEN division which means OPEN size and weight and ability. Then there is the 6'2 and under division. They MEAN 6'2 and under. Anything more and you're OUT. Sorry, don't try and trick anyone into believing your 6'3 guy is 6'2. Give Brian Velasquez a call and get your team ready for the next season. He also does fund raisers for good causes. Hmm, i just started wondering who the heck does fund raisers for bad causes....oh, lots of them. This one does it for a good cause and its LEGIT.

We brought our dog with us to explore SF and did a little research to find a dog park to run off a…read morelittle energy. As we approached the park we were thrown off that it wasn't fenced in, but instead it's a big, open grassy area where one side is marked as a leash optional dog park and across the path has signs that leashes are mandatory again. There is a spot away from the road with a bunch of benches and garbage cans and there's also a drinking fountain. I didn't see any poop bag dispensers though- although it seems like everyone had their own because I didn't notice any piles older ln the park. The area is big enough that you can play fetch and toss the ball a decent distance. Our dog is a pretty good listener, so he stayed close to us, but if your dog doesn't have great recall you probably wouldn't want to choose this spot. We would come back here with our dog again though. We met a bunch of friendly dogs and people and had a lot of fun.

I went to a couple of games last year during the regular season and was hooked, so I went to the…read morelast three games of the championship series and decided then in there that I would be a 2026 season ticketholder. I couldn't get anyone to go in with me due to the cost and time commitment (which is a challenge for me, too) but the single seat I sat in for the championship happened to have been available. I knew from talking to the other season ticket holders around me that that seat was usually empty and used by friends or family of other people in that area. I felt like I had to ask if they were OK with my buying it and of course, they encouraged me to do so and welcomed me back as soon as they recognize me. I limit, going to all these games is like a second job, but one that I love. Raimondi Field is my happy place. It's wholesome, intimate for a ballpark, and has such a great sense of community. Even the losses are fun. This season, they are doing a giveaway at every game and there's always a discount code for an upcoming game provided during the game. The big theme nights sell a lot of tickets, but weeknight games are usually wide open with great seats available. Come out to the park! We have the best mascot in all of sports--Scrappy the Rally Opossum. His friends all came out to celebrate his birthday! Let's go B's!

Kezar Pavilion is perhaps the oldest basketball arena in San Francisco. Built in the mid 1920s, it…read moreis situated in the southeast corner of Golden Gate Park, next to the namesake stadium. The pavilion is the former home of the University of San Francisco Dons and Santa Clara Broncos. It is also the current home of the San Francisco Summer League Pro-Am, a basketball league for professional and college players of both genders. The style of the building is classic. The intimate and rustic feel remains intact despite having gone through several renovations through the years. Except for working bathrooms, modern arena amenities are totally absent here. For parking, there is an adjacent pay lot and street spots are also available nearby. Don't come hungry because food options are rather limited around the neighborhood. The aforementioned Pro-Am league is definitely worth checking out. Games are played at 8 pm Monday to Thursday from June to August. I believe admission is still free. Every year, the league attracts a number of college players, as well as seasoned pros. If you are lucky, you will see some big names playing here (Steph Curry, Gary Payton, and Jason Kidd have all played in this league). I have officiated in multiple NBA/major college arenas but Kezar is special. I couldn't have asked for a better end to my career when I worked my last game here on 03/03/2020 (a CA state high school playoff game), just days before the statewide COVID lockdown. The way it finished was just how I wanted it to be - a buzzer-beating game winner right in front of me. No replay needed. I got the call right. Kezar Pavilion is a great place to check out if you are a basketball fan. For me, it will forever have a special place in my heart.
