One woman wasn't even grooming dogs, just sitting there chatting together. Only cleaned up my pups ears and face, they didn't have "time" to cut the rest. I'd like my money back but they couldn't figure out how to do it. I hate Yelp, but this is how pissed im at Petco - I had to download the app and recreate my account, spent 10 minutes doing that just to write this review. Don't go to Petco, don't signup for their health program. They suck and literally it's their only job.

The event was organized, everyone was friendly and professional, patient and invested in helping us get the best pictures of Max. Mrs Claus was really patient with Max while her helper tried to get Max's attention and offered to take family pictures with her after we took solo pictures of our sweet doggie. Even the cashier cheered and tried to get Max to sit still and look at me for a great photo! This was really special for me as I know my rescue dogs will not live as long as I will. Moments and memories like this are nice. Thank you everyone for making this special for our family. In the end, Max got a dog treat and we got candy canes. I bought Max yet another outfit (he has more clothes than me) and some treats from the self service bar - he loves those cookie sandwiches. Thank you everyone on staff today for such a great experience and for giving us a great first boost in our holiday spirit! Well deserved 5 stars for perfection

We all had different ways of how to train him and it was causing a rift in the family. I was turned down by some trainers until I came across Jonathan Wong's page. He was local, he was fast to get back to me and he was willing to give us a chance after everything I told him. Kody still has a long way to go and I will continue with Jonathan as his trainer, but it is night and day after three months of training with Jonathan. He was dog and people aggressive, to the point we had to avoid them entirely. We can now go for walks, albeit we move opposite of any dog and can keep walking without any barking or pulling. He was always actively pulling on the leash and bad at recall. He is loose leashed now and responds with recall with our daughter. In the end I had to get use to the idea that Kody was a crate or muzzle dog when it came to large crowds or people in our home. I felt awful but Jonathan was so supportive and positive as I came to terms with it. I hope as we continue to train with Jonathan and Kody builds his confidence that soon things might change for him. Jonathan has such a kind soul and so encouraging when it comes to both us and Kody. I cannot thank Jonathan enough for what he has done for us. He left solid foundations for us to grow on. Kody is such a sweet and smart boy, and we always want the best for him. Jonathan truly is the best.

I've stopped writing yelp reviews but came on here to say Jose changed our life!! We have a 1.5 yr…read morefrench bulldog who we were totally overstimulating in our home and became a terror to deal with. Resource guarding his food bowl, bad at walking, random growling at us, overstimulated by balls/dogs, and generally uncontrollable in any situation. We inquired with a bunch of different dog trainers and decided to go with Refined K9 given their holistic approach. Before Refinedk9, I had tried "positive only" trainers that evaluated Buddha for his food aggression, but they were totally ineffective and, in fact, made his reactivity towards food worse. We were also way over-feeding him and numbing him to treats. Other unqualified trainers were also unable to explain how they would properly introduce an e-collar and why e-collars are used. We were extremely anxious about having Buddha do the 4-week board and train to "reset", but we felt okay after learning Jose has many French bulldogs himself. Even though we didn't get super frequent updates, it was clear every week that Buddha was very well taken care of. Jose took the first week to evaluate our dog, his behavior, and get to know him, without "jumping" into conditioning. He took the time to understand us, our dog's behaviors, and tailored a program to uplevel Buddha slowly (place, relaxing around food, learning how to walk properly, with a gentler prong collar, and then an e-collar). He also helped Buddha learn how to 'communicate' with other dogs and 'socialize' properly in a safe space (not a random dog park). When we visited Buddha, we could tell he respected and liked Jose. I cried with happiness the day our dog came back :) He walked perfectly, he was confident, and knew how to communicate with other dogs. He was calmer in our home but still had his personality. We learned to make hard changes to our environment that was overstimulating for our dog and how to better communicate with him. Even though it's been hard enforcing changes at home, I feel so much happier with our structure. The intake process with Refinedk9 was a little confusing, as we talked to 3 different trainers over phone/email, although all of them recommended Jose for us. At the end of the day, we trusted our decision to move forward, and we are incredibly thankful to have our boy in the hands of a highly experienced and trustworthy dog trainer.

Everyone at RefinedK9 has been amazing -- since then we've boarded our dogs with them many times while on vacation and it's a great feeling knowing your pet is in the care of someone who knows them well and will give them the enrichment they need while you're away. In terms of results, last weekend we went on a trip with friends and their dogs. Our dog was able to comfortably hang out in a new house with other dogs they hadn't met before. No reactions or stress -- just a happy dog being able to coexist. This was definitely something our dog wouldn't have been able to do before working with Theo & RefinedK9.

After living together in relative peace, our two three-year-old dogs suddenly started viciously attacking one another. We were desperate for help. We consulted with several trainers, but Mark immediately stood out from the crowd. Even though he was going out of town and wouldn't be available for two weeks, we felt a strong intuitive connection to him that we decided to wait for his return. Looking back, that was the absolute best decision we could have made for our furry family. From the moment he stepped into our home for our initial "getting-to-know-you" appointment, we knew we were in expert hands. He spent a couple of generous hours patiently meeting and greeting us and our entire menagerie of animals. He shared his heart-centered training philosophy, and his deep wisdom and incredible talent were obvious right from the start. Mark is the perfect combination of professional and deeply personable. He is always punctual, bursting with positive energy, and possesses a truly rare, loving magic with animals. Our dogs absolutely adore him--their tails start wagging the moment he arrives, and they don't want to say goodbye when it's time for him to leave. We just completed our initial six-session course, and the results are stunning. Since we began incorporating his techniques, our dogs have not had a single issue with one another (except once when it was our fault with bones - so we learned our people lesson). Harmony has been restored to our household. Beyond the behavioral issues, Mark's vast knowledge even helped us successfully tackle a stubborn car sickness issue with one of our pups! What also appreciate the incredible value and ongoing support Mark provides. Included in our original package are three more sessions to use whenever we need them, because Mark truly understands that training is an ongoing journey. He is incredibly generous with his time and support--whether it's a quick phone consultation for simple questions, a Zoom check-in, or coming out in person, he is always there for us. Mark is not just a profoundly talented trainer; he is one of the nicest, genuine human beings you will ever meet. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to transform their relationship with their pets. In fact, we are already planning to have him train one of our dogs as a service dog next! Thank you, Mark, for bringing peace back to our home!
