I brought a Mikimoto 18" Pearl strand and a double strand vintage Pearl bracelet in to have them both restrung! Armel Jeweler on St Armand's is the jeweler I usually go to but they were closed till further notice! Maybe the hurricane damage, who knows! So since I live around the corner from this jeweler, I decided to bring them in! Well, I was silly for not shopping around! I left them, the owner said they would be ready in a week and they would charge $12 an inch! The next day I called Heitel Jewelers in downtown Venice! A little late, but thought I'd ask how much they charge. $3 an inch and it would take a month! So I didn't need the pearls right away I called Triton to cancel the order! They had them done in a day and a half so no cancelling now! They had them done so fast so I could not change my mind! They also asked if I wanted to pay for the work before it was even done! No!? They are charging 4 times more than other jewelers! I find this outrageous and unfair! Never again will I come into this store to get ripped off! read more

Not impressed at all for a first impression of a local business. I recently moved from Parrish, Fl area where we had an amazing family owned jewelry /repair business , On any given day I could take in several watches in for a battery change . There was never more than a short wait . And I was NEVER asked fo leave them for the batteries . Everyone that worked there could install , not just the jeweler . Not the case with Triton jewelers . I walked in on December 21st for two watch batteries . The lady is sitting in the repair area with the jeweler filing her nails . She asked if it was ok if I could could leave the watches and come back after the holidays . I thought ok, it takes about 5 minutes to throw a battery in but I'm going out of town until after the New Year . I go on on Monday , the 9th forgetting they are closed . No biggie. I come back January 10th, the next day, no surprise seeing the lady filing her nails next to the jeweler . He comes to the counter . And he starts looking through all the bins and can't find my watches . She gets up from filing her nails and they look in the bin near where he does repairs and it's at the bottom of pile not done . Ask if I can come back later in about an hour . I couldn't but really they couldn't stop what they were doing for 5 minutes and put my batteries in being they had been there since December 21st and it was now January 10th. My advice is to teach the lady who is always filing her nails how to install watch batteries so they don't have things piling up as simple as a battery installation. It's wasn't just two times I've seen her . Every time I walk by to the pet store, UPS , she's filing those nails. I realize it was the holidays . But they seemed unorganized ( said they didn't know why it was in that bin and why it wasn't done . Don't expect anything done while you wait , like other jewelers . I'll save all my watches and drive to Parrish , where they are only $8 a battery and done while you wait . I'll use the extra $2 in savings per watch for gas to drive there . read more

Paid 35.00 for a leather watch band in February and in July it broke. They won't go anything about it because "when leather gets wet, it breaks". A 35.00 watch band should last more than 5 months, even if it gets wet. Is a person supposed to take their watch off every time they get caught in the rain or wash their hands???? read more

Yes, you read that right, 10 dollars for a watch battery, and then he had the nerve to say I had to spend 25 dollars before I could use my credit card.
