Hands down, One to One Physical Therapy is the best around for the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of abnormal physical functions related to an injury, surgery, disability, or other health condition. After stem cell treatment on my right knee (March 2021), I signed up for Aquatic Therapy at One to One (Boca Clinic). Lucas treated me with the highest quality of physical therapy in a heated pool; his expertise in Aquatic Therapy is second to none! He was extremely patient and knowledgeable with guided exercises in a heated pool. Firsthand, I learned how the warm water allowed me to move my knee with increased flexibility, less pain, and a broader range of motion. I loved every minute of Aquatic Therapy; I hated getting out of the pool at the end of each session! Unfortunately, the stem cell treatment did not kill the pain in my knee. As a last resort, my orthopedic surgeon recommended a complete knee replacement. Successively, I received a total knee replacement in March (2022). Since then, I have received ongoing physical therapy two times weekly from Dan (One to One, Boca Clinic). I can't rave enough about Dan! He has greatly enhanced the restoration of movement in my knee since the first day of my treatment with him (March 2022). His combination of therapeutic exercises, assisted devices, and manual massages significantly increased my recovery process. He is quite skilled in easing inflammation, minimizing pain, and safely treating different tense areas. He has also optimized my recovery by identifying specific movements and recommending helpful exercises at home. In addition to Lucas and Dan, many others influence the highest quality of care at One to One. As you walk through the front door, you are warmly greeted by a talented team of professionals. The receptionists at the front desk go the extra mile to schedule sessions around individual work schedules. Under the guidance of Zelinda, the level of care displayed by Physical Therapists differentiates One to One from all others. Kaitlin is amazing! She's one of the best PTs I've ever worked with. I learn a ton every time I work with her, and with her help I've been able to recover well and quickly from my back injury. A big shout-out to Nolan as well, who is a really great PT as well! He has been helping me dial in my mechanics (work in progress!) He's kind, easy to work with, and I've found him extremely helpful in my recovery. My last appointment, they cancelled on me last minute. I was super understanding about it. Then on my next appointment, I had to cancel last-minute because I had a work meeting conflict, and they told me I would have to pay a $50 last minute cancellation policy. They do have that right - it's their policy. But when I pointed out that they cancelled on me last minute previously, they acknowledged it but still made me pay the $50 penalty (twice my single-visit copay). This doesn't make me feel like I'm interacting with a human being who respects me and is willing to adjust their stance in light of context (as a reasonable person would do). It makes me feel like an asset that they are managing. In the words of the receptionist who insisted I pay even though they had just done the same thing to me previously, "We are a business." Ok. Yes. You are, and it's technically your right to do this. But it feels wrong. I feel disrespected: I tried extra hard to be kind and understanding with you when you cancelled on me last minute, and when the roles were reversed you hit me up for two visits worth of copay. I think this is a situation where a business needs to step back, look at the big picture, and think about whether policies should always be enforced to the letter, or if context matters in their implementation. Tl;dr: + Amazing PTs. Wonderful to interact with. Talented. Kind. - They have at least one business policy, though (which is set by the PTs) which is best-case asymmetrical, and worst-case disrespectful. read more

I was really impressed with this place. I'm a life long runner who got plantar fasciitis. Wynne was my PT and listened to me and assured me she could get me fixed up. She was easy to work with and made me confident that I would improve quickly. Within 2 months I was running again and 4 months later I feel great. Everyone here is very friendly and the facility is clean and comfortable. They took care of insurance billing. I hope I don't have to return (!) but I would definitely recommend for others. read more

My primary physician recommended that I go to 1-2-1 PT because she has repeatedly heard from other physicians that it is one of the best physical therapy places in Tacoma. I went three separate occasions, each time with Erik Waterland. He and I talked about why different stretches were going to help my knee (so I wouldn't have to have surgery in the future) and each appointment seemed like only a few minutes, even though I probably spent an hour to an hour and a half with Him reviewing old stretches and then learning new stretches. I walked out my first time feeling better about beginning physical therapy but then later that week kind of forgot what he said for a few stretches (bend only to a certain degree etc) so I emailed him and he emailed me back giving me very precise details for every stretch along its images for what each stretch should look like (since I'm a very visual type of person). In all honesty, I'm glad I went to physical therapy. He has given me long-term stretches that will help build muscle in the entire leg to help prevent future twisting or accidents. My insurance paid for each therapy session, but if it had not, each session was about $150 -- he understood that I wanted long term stretches so I can do them at home in Corvallis and not be a regular patient who he would see maybe a few times a month. The overall building is clean, well furnished with all sorts of exercise bikes etc to help you warm up or cool down. Parking isn't an issue because it has it's own private parking lot (although you technically have to enter it the correct way because of the diagonal parking) -- yep, I've made that mistake multiple times. :) read more

I came to One to One PT to correct some knee pain. Seth was my physical therapist and I would recommend him without hesitation. He asked great questions to get to the root of the issue and moved quickly through test to identify areas that needed work. Throughout the appointment he explained everything using technical terms and then would explain it simply. I left with a greater knowledge of my body and the steps I could take to make improvements. Additionally, Seth was very personable and made the whole process enjoyable. Added bonus they were flexible about how often I could come and Seth offers occasional Saturday appointments. read more

I went after having ACL reconstruction surgery and from the first phone call to set up my initial appointment through my entire treatment, my experience was incredible. The lady's at the front desk were always friendly and helpful when getting me checked in and setting up my follow up appointments. The PT staff that I had the privilege of working with throughout my treatment were all fantastic. They demonstrated direct, one on one care each and every time. They were ready to work with me on my specific needs for rehab, which I am certain resulted in my recovery taking significantly less time. Okay.. here is my rant for today: as a business owner how dare you speak to someone who is interviewing at your company the way I was just spoken to. Here's what happened: I called the business back yesterday to schedule a second interview at 940/945. When I arrived at 9:35 I was told by the front desk that I would be seen in a few moments. Flash forward to 955am. No one is at the front desk, no one has come to speak with me, still not in my interview. I approached the front desk seeing as I was already pretty upset for waiting 15 minutes passed my interview. All front desk & management are in an office goofing off/whispering. Waited a couple more minutes. Nothing so I decided to leave as they have just wasted my time this morning. THEN this is what baffles me: the owner or manager of the business calls me to say how disappointed she is with me, and she's shocked at "how stupid her interviewees have been", and that she is ripping up my application. Mature. I'm so annoyed. You cannot speak to someone like that. & you cannot treat people like their time like it's yours to do whatever with. read more

One to One Physical Therapy is an excellent choice if you are looking for efficiency and effectiveness. I went here for some hip pain that was interfering with my ability to run, walk, and even function on some days. With a baby at home I didn't have time to attend 2-3 times a week like some other PT offices. I have worked mostly with Erika and had a great experience. She is quick to figure out a problem and effective in the exercises she gives you. I particularly enjoy that they have clients work with an actual PT every time you go. I have been other places where it feels like you meet with the PT once and then you are stuck with assistants that don't really pay attention or have the knowledge of a PT. That is not the place at One to One Physical Therapy and I believe that this consistency is one of the reasons they are so effective.I highly recommend this office and especially Erika. read more
