There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Do know it can get packed on weekends so outdoor seating can be harder to come by. The Cidery overlooks a huge field below that is good for kids and pets to run around. They have a huge selection of cider. They also offer a cider that you can only get at the taproom. We recently went on Mother's Day and they were doing a cute brunch and giving out free carnations. I enjoyed their classic cider and exclusive one. They have a pretty big food menu which is nice. The food is good for what it is. My group really liked the pretzels. I'd recommending stopping by.

The beer The views The food The music The vibes We haven't been here in sometime but I'm so glad they're still giving five star service. We were looking a little lost coming in, but David grabbed us up and said "I can help you over here". From there it was love at first SIP! He has us at FREE SAMPLE ciders. David took us through the offerings, educating us along the way. He mentioned what ciders are the most flavorful and why. He hung with our curiosity, eagerness to drink and indecisiveness at the same time. Customer service is crucial to a pleasant experience. I can only hope the rest of the staff are as easy going and likes their job as much as he does. Now for the cider. GET THE FLIGHT! Sample and fall in love with options instead of one. We settled on: Pineapple Imperial Berry Summer Slice Paradise Orchard Imperial orange Vat #1 (champagne cider) Imperial All amazing and refreshing selections. Paradise orchard is my new fave. Let's get into this food. We ordered: Tacos w/ house chips Chicken Nachos Cajun Honey wings & fries All great and very fresh made to order, so good, good flavors. My fave were the wings and the house chips. Only notes is out more sauce and seasoning on the wings, I felt like BR was teasing me with a good time. I needed more! Same with the nachos so good. The chips were fresh, but I need more cheese throughout the chips. Chicken was on point. Everything was super super fresh so good. House chips is a huge staple love them. Keep doing them maybe add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if you are reading this and you're debating about coming here get the house chips get a flight get it all. Our total bill $75, but omg we sampled sooo much! Love this place... BR give David a raise!

The setting was exceptional: perched beside the cidery with a pasture stretching out nearby, it had that perfect mix of open space and laid-back charm. For a first outing, I don't have much to compare it to, but it's hard to imagine a better start. Connectivity was surprisingly excellent--we were pulling 5G UW, which felt like a small miracle and made everything easier. The location couldn't have been more convenient, with trails, venues, and restaurants all close at hand. The cidery itself offered around two dozen options, and the Imperial Peach quickly became our go-to libation. And yes, they've got a happy hour at the cidery--and you already know that's my favorite time of day. Within three miles, you've got IGA, the ABC store, and Beltie's, while Devil's Backbone sits right across the street. The on-site BBQ Beast delivered exactly what you'd hope for--no surprises, just solid, satisfying fare. We lucked into something special during our stay, landing right in the middle of a migration path. One morning alone brought the sights and sounds of over 25 bird species--nature putting on a full show. All told, it's a fantastic place to boondock. We enjoyed it enough to tack on an extra night, which says plenty. Here's hoping the rest of our adventures measure

We are not sad that we did. This place is amazing. The cider is top notch and the barbecue is spot on. Definitely try the ribs and if you're a collard green fan, they are pretty fantastic. They're not like the collard greens in the deep south, but they got game. The cider is very well done!!!

If you're in the area, Old Hill is a great spot to try. You can't go wrong with cider, especially with the number of options that they have that range from dry to sweet. We tried the cider flight and Jenny was amazing! She was very attentive and friendly. I asked about the LOVE sign and she not only pointed me in the direction but she was nice enough to talk our picture! Do a guided tasting. Or take the flight and sit outside and enjoy the view. Make sure to stop in during the fall and enjoy the changing colors, some apple picking, and their apple cider donuts!

The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

We saw online that they had open-mic night that Thursday and had hoped it would be outside since we had our dogs and had to be on the patio, but alas it was not (maybe because it was cold or maybe it's always inside). We did get to see bits of it when going inside to use the restroom or get more cider though and it was so fun! It definitely draws a big crowd, so they were very busy once it started around 7. They had "happy hour" open to close with $15 carafes. We ended up splitting 3 over the course of a few hours. We tried the grapefruit hibiscus, the imperial dry, and the farmhouse dry. All were so good and crisp! To help keep us warm we split the special that night, which was the black bean chili nachos. They were delicious, but a little pricey at $19. Although I'm sure it's because it had so many ingredients in it and you have to account for potentially not going through all of them, and we were on vacation, so we looked past price points during our trip. Later in the night we also split the warm artichoke dip and rented a fire pit beside our table. Outside patios in the fall are always chilly, but the fire pits were the star of the show and warmed everything right up and provided a cozy ambiance. It was also magical to sit outside because the property stays relatively dark and sits further out from Charlottesville than other breweries, wineries, etc and you can look up and see all of the stars while sipping your cider. We would love to come back if we are ever in Charlottesville again!
