Our tour guide/docent, Courtney was very good, her knowledge of Wilmington is immediately apparent and based on many years of working and living in the area. My colleagues and I learned a great deal about Wilmington and its food scene, which apparently is very diverse and plentiful for any card carrying foodie! The only thing I regret is that my colleagues and I didn't do this sooner during our visit to Wilmington. I'd recommend this tour for anyone (history buffs to foodies or those who want a fun activity in Wilmington ) and to take tour this upon arrival to set up your meals for the days to come; there are lots of good restaurants in Wilmington that deserve business!

The company use horses they have rescued & save from abuse or from situation where they'll be sold for processing. So you're supporting a horse rescue organization as well. TIPS: -It is $16 per adult CASH only or VENMO as of 12/2023. Pay driver at the end of the tour. If you grab a brochure/flyer advertisement at the hotels it has a $1 off per Adult fare COUPON. Be sure to TIP the driver (before the discount) & the company so they can save more horses. -Get there 15mins before posted return time because there's a seating capacity 20-25 people. -When the horses get back they need a 15min break so you have to wait for that, but be sure to get onboard & pick your seat while waiting out the 15mins after the horses get back and wait on the carriage. Driver does take lunch so be aware of that (not sure when that is 12pm or 1pm) -Really the tours start 15mins after what the clock sign says -Tour is about 1/2hr. There's only one carriage. There are blankets if it's cold that day as the trolly/carriage is open air. -You can get ice cream /chocolate/candy at Kilwins while waiting

The tour covered a broad time period from the eighteenth century until present but stayed within a reasonable walking area for the 1.5 hour tour. This is a great way to start your visit, to orient to the area and to learn something new about Wilmington and all of our history. Finally, I appreciated that Amanda was so welcoming of my dog to accompany us.

First, Amanda is an absolutely great host, tour guide, historian, and also has a great selection of wine bars! He grew up on the water down at wrightsville so he was more than qualified to show us around all of his personal favorite spots--they were definitely hidden gems I doubt we would have gotten to see with any other company! We saw not only dolphins, but also pelicans, sea hawks, osprey, herons and even got to see the famous giraffe! I will definitely be booking again very soon, might even try out the jet skis! Not sure if that's the set up every weekend or if this particular night was an exception. There was a few corn hole boards for people to play on one side and the band was on the other side. There were a few spots to grab a drink, but we found a spot that sold "basic" beers and a moscato slushy which I thoroughly enjoyed! The band that played, played for at least an hour and a half without a break. We knew every song and sang and danced to the music. We had a good time!
