Tropicakes made my Dad's 90th birthday extra special. I had been searching for a specialty cake to celebrate my Dad's big day. When I saw Tropicakes, I knew it was meant to be and was going to be extraordinary just like my Dad. I was late in placing an order. And I think I flustered Tamar because it was so last minute (2 days prior). But she had the numbers and came through in a big way. We had a brief discussion about my preferences and she offered suggestions and promised it would be beautiful. Let me just say, when Tamar sent me a photo of the cake, I had tears of joy. It really looked amazing. You can just tell that this cake was made by a true artist who has great pride in the end product. My Dad was so happy when he saw the cake and my family just ooh'd and ahh'd over the cake. According to my parents the cake was delicious! They enjoyed every single bite. Prices are on the higher end. But it is truly worth every single cent. And best of all, it tasted just as amazing as it looked. I couldn't be happier with Tropicakes. Found Tropicake on Yelp and decided to check them out since I'd never had a cake like theirs before. It was my mom's 70th birthday, so we wanted something truly special--and Tropicake delivered! Celebrating mommy moms birthday in Hawaii meant having to purchase a cake there. tropicakes came in cluth! The service was great. The owner texted me a picture of the cake when it was finished. I guess it was a cake but like a cookie cake? It was in the shape of a pineapple. When things are pretty you think ... hmm what if it's not good. But it was actually pretty good. Almost too pretty to eat, but i had to sell my arm and my leg to pay for it. Lol. It was definitely pricey, but I appreciate that she include a tiny happy birthday sign and candles. That was super sweet. I don't remember reading what the cake included but nonetheless I appreciated that. I had the cake delivered to our hotel and that was $15. There is also Hawaii tax on the cake which was $10 or some sort. So it just felt so expensive not even having all the extra decorations. But had to be done and I got the cake. All in all, just do it. You most likely won't regret it. Still kinda hurting from the price and the fact that we threw half of it away because it was too big to eat in the 4 days we had left

My hubby ordered me a cake from this place in July 2022. I was very happy with this cake, it was really cute and really yummy. Not too sweet but not lacking flavor at al! I didn't get too many pics but here you can see it was a lipstick and lips. Also the texture and details to add was very original and was perfect for my taste. I'm always very excited about confections and cakes etc. I appreciate she added candles and "Happy Birthday" cake topper with the order. My hubby ordered this for me as a surprise and it was really sweet of him but also beautiful and made my birthday extra super special. I highly recommend this cake provider to anyone. Service throughout the experience was amazing, and the cookie CAKE was DELICIOUS! The flavor profile was "chef's kiss"! My sister loved the presentation and everyone loved how it tasted. There is a lot of attention to detail as the cake has hidden treasures on top like handmade chocolate shells and glittery macaroons. As we ate it in our hotel lobby people would pass by and comment on how beautiful the cake is. If you want a memorable beautiful cake I highly recommend tropicakes.

Beautifuy decorated with colors of my choice. I did not want any food coloring, so I choose neutral. Price - It is not cheap but it is totally worth it. Communication - Quick response. We communicated through the instagram. Their website and instagram show many examples. Easy to understand the customization choices and prices. I was little worried when they asked to change the delivery time and had to reconnect with the restaurant but worked out at the end.

Absolutely amazing cake! The cake was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I ordered one of Tamar's custom cakes for a special occasion, and it exceeded my expectations. The design was beautiful and the flavor was incredible--the cookie was crisp, yet moist, not too hard. The cream filling was so delicious and creamy and not overly sweet. When I took the cake to the restaurant the staff was swooned away at the cake's beauty! I ended up passing a few extra slices out to the staff and they agree that the taste was amazing! It was a nice balance of sweetness and tasted super fresh! The process was very easy to order which is all online and simple instructions after ordering for pick up. I said it before I picked up, at pick, and will repeat again; the cake looks AMAZING!!!! Truly exceeded my expectations. The online ordering process was easy peasy. I randomly found this shop on Yelp and I'm SO thankful I did!! From beginning to end, the process of ordering a cake for my sister's big 30th birthday was smooth, timely, and full of kindness! I ordered the customized cake online, then confirmed my order a week later. The rep was very responsive, quick to follow up, and super friendly. The day of the surprise delivery, the rep made sure to contact me earlier to set up a way to surprise my sister (I live in LA). The delivery was on time and the rep was super sweet to my sister upon receipt. I wish they had a branch in LA! Tropicakes is so well run. Excellent communications. First rate customer service. And a truly unique, gorgeous and yummy product. They literally made my mom's birthday. Covid prevented me from being home to celebrate with her but Tropicakes made her feel so special and loved. They were even kind enough to honor my request for photos of the masterpiece before it was delivered. Above and beyond. :-) And .....At the risk of others following suit, I will also admit that I did not give them much notice but they still pulled it off. Thank you. This is something you definitely need to see for yourself! The cookie/cakes are made with so much care and love!! Made exactly how I asked for it to be made ( and on the shortest notice!) Tamar went above and beyond to help me when I was in a bit of a bind but by midday...My problem was solved and I was able to give my daughter a BEAUTIFUL Cookie/Cake for her Birthday!!! Tropicakes was heaven sent! So we had a miscommunication and she made the cake for me on a wrong date, totally misunderstood and communication on my end. I always wanted to try this type of cake but I wouldn't really call it cake it's more like cookies with frosting in between in a form of a cake. I ordered this cake black theme but the day of pick up I was asked if it was okay if they could add brown and gold. Even though I was kind of disappointed I said it was fine I mean it was almost time for pick up anyways I didn't have a back up cake. What was I supposed to do. The cake came out cute though! Not bad When I picked up the cake I was told to refrigerate it and I can see why because it'll start falling apart if you don't. I picked up some stuff at the store right after and I probably should've taken it straight home because some of the toppings came off but it was easy to put back on. My husband and I thought the cake tasted okay but my lil sister loved it so idk depends on what you prefer. read more

i found tropicakes on IG. I reached out to order a cake for my daughter's 21st that we would be celebrating in Oahu. Well there was a miscommunication , it was more on my end. And I could not apologize more about the misunderstanding. We got the dates mixed up. She had made the cake and it was the wrong date due to a miscommunication, she ended up making another cake for me on the date I needed it. Which was so sweet of her! I couldn't believe she was so understanding about this situation. We ordered a sunset 21 number cake. The cake was beautiful! She is super quick and professional in replying. She handcrafts all her zephyrs - no molds here! She can do carnations, hydrangeas, matthiola, lilies, chrysantheums, and more. I chose an assortment of flowers to be done in boxes as I wanted to easily share marshmallows with my loved ones while celebrating. Zarina can make bouquets if you want too! Zarina also makes cakes and cookies. She can do honey cake (medovik), meringue roll cake, pavlova cake, and classic biscuit cake with different fillings, layers, and creams. I'm huge on layers so you know I ordered a honey cake. It is not an easy cake to make and I was soooo impressed with how this came out. It was decadent, moist, and melted in my mouth.
