Quantum Floors - 5 STAR GOOGLE REVIEW

    Quantum Floors

    (10 reviews)

We had a slow leak in our brand new GE refrigerator ;' (…read more Once the leak presented itself, the mitigation company came and pulled out the flooring at the walls around the leak area. It was pretty significant, the back of the refrigerator was rusted and the water had gone into the walls and under the floorboards. Thankfully it was sequestered to a small area. Everything was going well with our insurance company and the mitigation guys and the mold cleaning up guys... until it came time for us to find a flooring contractor. We got quotes from two or three companies who indicated that although it was a 43 ft.² repair, they would need to rip out all 1800 square feet of our beautiful wood floor, and if I did not want want that to happen then they would have to put "raised thresholds" in the middle of our entryway and our kitchen (in the middle of one big room so that I could trip on them) and that the floor would not look the same and blah blah blah. As usual I called BS. All it would take, I thought, is a skilled craftsman to come in and fit the planks to the cuts in the damaged area! How freaking hard is that? Apparently that's quite difficult for most flooring contractors (forehead slap). Well you and I know it's all about honesty and integrity but sadly most of these guys were clearly trying to rip off our insurance company. Further, I think there is a great deal of laziness, inability and unwillingness to do the right thing, do the smart thing, do the skilled thing and repair the floor. Sigh. However, I digress. My husband, after quite a bit of research and phone calling, found AJ and his business Quantum Floors. AJ came over to assess the situation and after a couple of minutes he said what I was thinking all along: "all we have to do is match the boards, make a couple of cut outs and find the matching flooring and pop it in". Big smile on my face, these are my people. It took a week or so but AJ was able to find the same exact flooring and his installer came out and beautifully and skillfully installed the 43 ft.² of wood flooring. We had a little snafu with one tiny board that wanted to be a naughty board, and AJ made sure to follow up and that that little board was replaced. AJ's communication is excellent, anytime I texted him he got right back to me, and made sure that there was clarification so we were on the same page. I've never dealt with such a great contractor! The work was all done in the same day, and as soon as my wall guy comes maybe I can get my fridge back in place, which will put my living room back in place which will mean that I can have Christmas for our family in a normal setting, ha! All, if you want professionalism, skilled craftsmanship, good communication and excellent results, do not hesitate to contact AJ/Quantum floors. Absolutely two thumbs up and a minimum of five stars -they deserve many more if I could give them. AJ and Daniel and everyone at quantum floors thank you so so much! ;' )

RT&S did not have the lowest estimate of the 4 I got, but his professional aptitude and expertise where clear from our first meeting to the end of the project and there work made it clear I hade made the right choice. Anyone one doing a remodel should know the unforeseen extras are going to happen this one was no different. while I was on vacation the need to bring in a electrician to relocate some unseen wiring once the walls and ceilings was removed came up Ryan reached out let me know got the work completed so as not to delay the project and only charged me what he was charged! Most would have added mark-up and overhead but in Ryan's words that would not have been fare! I could write so much more about how great RT&S but let me just say this bathroom remodel was the first in a long list of home improvements we have planed and I am not even going to look and any other contractors!!! They where just that good. They have my highest recommendation use them you will not be sorry.

It never really worked. I used to own a farm, I know how to test water. I turned the water under the sink off completely and cleaned up all the water. I called Dave's Plumbing on recommendation of the previous homeowner. The man on the phone was nice enough, said that he may or may not be able to get someone out here, but tomorrow definitely. Fine. I got a call from one of Dave's employees that he was stopping by in the afternoon. I showed the man the situation under the sink. I asked that the shut off valves be replaced. They were 40 years old and one turn away from leaking themselves. I asked to have a filter of my choice also installed since the old filter was clearly not functioning properly and, read above, it didn't even work with a new (expensive) filter. The plumber guy even told me that the filter I wanted wouldn't help. The TDS on the new filter I installed is ~7. Folks, most bottled "spring water" is about ~35. Florida water out of the tap is ~200+. Dave - this is the part you need to read! The plumber that showed up clearly did not want to do the work; he clearly had a major attitute. I smiled, invited him in, asked how his day was going.... The Work: Replace a couple of valves and install a new filter. I did not have the filter, but I wanted the old leaking filter removed and new valves installed (one of the old valves barely shut off and leaked) so I could get use of my sink again. I would order the filter and then have them install it. Easy since the proper valve to the filter would be shut off; once the new filter was installed, just flick the switch to let the water flow. The plumber kept repeatedly saying, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". He also said, "Why not just fix the existing filter". I explained to him it was not effective in the least. Again,, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". "Why not just fix the existing filter". I work like everyone else and it is overwhelming sometimes. I needed to hire a plumber for their expertise to knock out the job. Needless to say, not having your kitchen sink working is a bit of an inconvenience. I could clearly see the plumber didn't want to do it. As I was showing him the door ( I mean he doesn't want to do it), he starting saying, "We are open M-F 9-5, just give us a call". You all need to understand that this was all being said with an attitude. Why would I call you? You clearly didn't want to do the job. I bought two shark bites, a coupler for the new filter I bought. It took about 1.5 hours to remove the old plumbing and install the new filter. My total cost ~300. My savings doing it myself? I'd say ~500. I will not be called Dave's Attitude Plumbing ever again. I'm glad you all have all the work you need and can afford to be selective. Florida = the state of contractors with wet diapers.

After graduating with a…read morebachelor's of science in architecture, I found myself wanting to take my expertise a step farther and dabble into the world of design, leading me into an internship for Francesca. So when it came time to build my new home, there was no question... I knew I wouldn't do it without her and her team. The process from the ground up took a little over a year, and Francesca was incredibly easy to work with throughout--always responsive, professional, and thoughtful. Her eye for detail and close working relationship with my contractor made this new build efficient. My goal with this home was peace, happiness, and comfort. After losing my husband and leaving behind a large home on two and a half acres, I needed a space that felt like a fresh start without all the overwhelming decisions that a new build brings. Francesca delivered exactly that and more. One of my favorite parts of the home is the family photo wall; everyone who visits is drawn to it. It brings such a sense of warmth and story to the space. But what really stands out to me is how Francesca pushed me beyond what I thought I wanted. I never would have chosen a gold island on my own--it was completely out of my comfort zone. But she encouraged me to trust the vision, and respect the spaces needs, and that leap made all the difference. Now, that bold choice is one of my favorite features of the kitchen! Francesca's work is more than just design, it challenges you to grow in the best of ways, and that's exactly why I'd recommend her to anyone. They built me more than just a home, they created a space that feels like a true reflection of my current lifestyle, who I am now, and it's exactly what I needed.
