I'm glad I discovered this store today. In addition to friendly customer service, I noticed the fish and other animals for sale are in clean cages - visibly healthy and well cared for. Merchandise is stocked and brightly arranged. Signage is clear and legible. And this quaint pet shop comes complete with seasonal aquatic plants.

This was my second experience here & I went to check out and asked if I could split my transaction in 2 since I was a few dollars away from my reward (I had spent $243? the first time I came here and I think you need to spend $250). ((I don't care how u look and I love piercings but for the sake of this employee getting held accountable I'm describing her)) The shorter lady with piercings all over her face looked at me, rolled her eyes and said "I don't know! Why don't you ask the people in line behind you if THATS OKAY" while throwing her hand up. ... there was one couple in line behind me... I was so stunned and caught off guard that I just said it's fine don't worry about it. But I really thought I was in a fever dream. She ended up splitting the transactions without saying anything but she oddly threw the receipts in the paper bag forcefully and was huffing the whole time. I'm thinking What the actual bleep is going on?????!!?? It's New Year's Day and I was going into this thanking the employees for being open just trying to shop for fish with my dad. Well I'm really glad I did use the $5 coupon because I'll never be going back there. Just don't go here. I've never experienced such awful customer service before.

After years of buying pumps that lasted less than a year, they provided me with one that worked for 4 years and were then able to †hen provide me with a new part. They have saved me so much money and so many headaches. They also have an incredible variety of critters to put in aquariums and ponds. The owner is very careful about getting fish, etc., that have gone through the proper channels so they are not carrying diseases.

The fish selections continue to be amazing, and I have awesome interactions with the staff. Most recently, one had a Majora's Mask tattoo so we just HAD to have a full conversation about fish with a side of Zelda. Video game jokes aside, whenever I have a question about the fish, or even if it's not a question and it's just one I know I want, the staff are always upbeat, enthusiastic, and you can tell that this aquarium life is their thing. They give advice and basically hype your selections haha. For anyone in the state of Maryland who is into aquariums, I recommend stopping by this store. It's well worth the visit. You can either park on the back where the store is, or on the front side which has a lot more stores and the parking lot is bigger, but it stays busy and fills up quickly. Pick your challenge!

I was too scared I'd mess it up and hurt him, so I called Jacob. 30 minutes later - Jacob to the rescue! It was the most positive experience. Hedgehogs typically only warm up to the person who handles them regularly. Jacob won him over immediately with his kindness and patience. Cannot thank Jacob enough for such a positive experience. It may seem like a small thing, but it really meant the world to our family.
