We have been clients for 10 years starting with Cosmo who was deaf/disabled from birth. Cosmo passed away in June 2025, but we have been taking Fleur as well for 5 years and our new pup will be heading there soon. We love them as they love our animal kids as much as we do and it is quite evident by the loving care that they provide. We now have a schnauzer, I'm finding out they are unlike any dog breed we've had. He's a barker, doesn't listen, determined to do things his way, etc. He loves going for daycare and he will listen, not bark, etc. for the workers there. You can tell they all love dogs and the dogs love them. They really care - it's not just a job. Summer is coming and he loves to play in the pool. We haven't boarded him yet, but several years ago we had two dogs that we boarded and they loved it. I'm an overprotective mom and I feel safe when he is in their care. read more

We were big fans of the Dog Eaze Inn for over a year, but had a terrible experience with our recent boarding and won't be going back. Our pup was scheduled for a bath on the day of pickup, and I called the day before to confirm and make sure the groomer had ample notification of our pickup time. When I picked up my dog, he was still wet and the front desk told me they "noticed he had a slight tickle in his throat" since that morning. When I got him home and took a good look at him, I found a still-healing wound on his snout and he was coughing and hacking, uncontrollably. This is a dog that I had never even heard cough in the full five years of his life, so it was a bit scary. I took him to our vet and the techs told me they'd received a flood of 20-30 appointments for Dog Eaze boarders since the end of the holiday break. I feel for this business because it seems like it's heavily challenged lately despite some nice people working there. Nevertheless, sympathy isn't a good enough reason to risk my money, or more importantly my dog's health. read more

They've got little, medium and large dogs who just want to play. They not only care for them but they also work with the dogs socially and they get along with everyone. Unfortunately, I believe that contributed to the communication problems as I tried to call to cancel my initial tour but there wasn't an actual person to receive my call prior to your cut off time for tours. I called to reschedule at 3pm the next day. I was advised by your receptionist to arrive prior to 4:45pm. I explained I was on my way and arrived at 4:10pm, whereby she explained she could not accommodate me after telling me different just an hour ago. After driving an hour in traffic and then told otherwise is unacceptable. Also, I appreciate the booking information and completely understand being full, but my issue again is that prompt communication could have resolved the situation more amicably. If a situation were to occur whereby I needed to relay time sensitive information during boarding or daycare, I lack confidence in a timely response due to the communication shortfalls. read more

I am really disappointed. I very much wanted to like this place. The staff seem very nice and I was hoping to find a groomer and boarding in one. I will have to keep looking. I was very very specific that I did not want the hair on top of my puppy's head cut at all because I'm trying to grow it out. I explained this in detail and the receptionist wrote it down. It obviously was not communicated to the groomer. When I picked her up her hair was cut very short. I don't understand what is so hard about "don't cut the top of her head." The Dog Eaze Inn is truly amazing, my 16.5 year old Pekeapoo started going there for daycare three years ago. He enjoys going there and gets so excited when I pull into the parking lot. When I travel I board him there as well. I think if he could live there he would be happy as a clam. it is evident that each staff member genuinely loves all the fur babies and takes excellent care of them. I recently acquired my daughter's 6.8 pound poodle, she goes to daycare too. She also is excited when we arrive at daycare. After daycare, they are exhausted from playing with their friends and come home eat their dinner and sleep all night. Great place, great staff. However, I'm leaving a "3" because their business process needs a bit improvement. I've been calling since 7am to try to get my puppy in for day care (last minute call into work) and no answer. I called several times and gave up after two hours. This has happened on multiple occasions, and as a business professional I would like to have a daycare that is dependable when needed. Don't want to leave this place as I feel my puppy has integrated well with the rest of the puppies, and as mentioned above, I like the place - they just need to do better at answering their phone. read more

I really really love this place cause Zeus always has a awesome time. But recently I can never get ahold of anyone at the front desk. I call and call and leave messages and never get a response back. So I end up driving up and they can't take him. She looked out the window.... Looked at me and back out window... and said oh no we are fully booked. Which is fine but if they would just answer the phone or reply would make things easier. And when I asked the front if there is a easier way to communicate her whole body language changed when I voiced my frustration about my concern. We have been taking our two Cavalier King Charles here at least a few times a month, for 5 years, but this last summer, something changed and we can't figure it out! I always have given. them rave reviews, referred many people, plus we used them exclusively for boarding our dogs. It seems that they are now too busy for old clients and the customer service has gone to hell! They used to be friendly and I looked forward to dropping our pups off, now I cringe when I drive in. It seems the people that have worked there for many years are less than friendly, matter in fact, go out of there way to ignore me, thank goodness for the new employees that are delightful! I have spoken with other people that have dropped there dogs off over the years and they totally agree with me. Thanks goodness my husband picks them up, I would hate having to deal with bad attitudes two times in one day. I am not saying they aren't good, but with the animals, but customer service is definitely not their forte! If I could give the Dog Eaze Inn a 10-star rating, I would. 2020 for all has been a trying year, but for me it was a living nightmare from end of January thru mid-September with frequent, long, and sometimes unexpected hospitalizations, followed by the death of my father. Throughout the 8 months, Melissa and her team were always there to assist, no matter the request. If any doubt existed in my mind of how she was affected by boarding for long instances of time, they were erased the few times I was able to take Remy to the Dog Eaze Inn and witness her level of excitement. It reassured me she was in the best hands. There are no words that can express my gratitude to Melissa and her team for supporting me over the eight months by taking care of my furbaby. What Melissa forgot to add is I explained that I was angry and my tone was loud when I entered their facility. She allowed her worker to disrespect me. I said my piece and left their facility. As I was leaving I said "I was not going to bring my dog back here again," and was leaving. Her worker yell "good!" I walked back inside and said "you are the b**** who probably hurt my dog." She called the police as I was leaving. I was leaving regardless. Why would I run away? I'm a proud officer and have been for over 26 years. She said the officers who were called and looked at the pictures my wife sent to her show his bruises. They are not doctors and neither am I, that's why he was taken to the veterinarian for an expertise evaluation. I only wanted her to find out why my dog was injured. After taking my dog to the vet, it was determined my dog was burned, which is worst. It happened while he was at her facility. My dog was burned by one of her staff members. I had a right to vent and it's not the first time my dog has been injured there. You can deflect and say I had a bad day and berated your staff members. If things were reversed you would have reacted the same. Sadly, not once did you say "I'll look into it." Goes again to show what type of individual you are. Just sorry my dog had to endure this from a place that pretends to care so much. I appreciate the staff members who have been great to my baby. Those who mistreated him will receive their karma from the universe. Thank you Melissa for condoning this type of behavior towards my dog. I wonder how many others are their being mistreated or hurt, but knowing some of the staff, my dog is not the only one being mistreated. If anyone has a large breed, they would understand the pain of finding spicy day care that takes them up to two years old Unneutered. My dog has been to his third daycare for that reason. The staff loves and care for my Airedale so well. I can tell when he's happy every time he sees the attendants. They come out and help with your dog so there's less traffic inside the reception. Even though this place is out of the way, I don't mind going the extra miles for great service. read more

This is the only place in the area other than Affectionate Petcare in Fairfax Station that we would ever board our beagle. It is a pretty nice looking facility, and the admin building (separate from the boarding building) looks new and clean. The key is that they have two of the three things that we really care about when we board: a big outdoor play area, and lots of daytime group play segregated by size. The only advantages APC has is that they are completely cage-free, and they are a lot closer to us. Overall a very good choice to board your dog, especially if you want them to have lots of outdoor time and socialization. read more

We brought our 10 month old pup here for a half day of daycare while we had to attend a graduation (we were on a road trip and the Dog Eaze was closer to the graduation than us going back to our hotel in DC to get our dog and continue our road trip). She LOVED her time there. Well, she didn't tell us that, but she loves playing with other dogs and based on how exhausted she was and how happy she seemed when we picked her up, we assume she had a blast! This made my second time using this establishment, and as much as I hate giving a negative review, I must. I definitely have decided that my pet will not return here. Actually, this place has put me off to boarding him in general. If I need to travel my pup will stay with family or friends. So here are the issues I encountered this time, which left me in shock. 1. The cost. Now, my dog is a member of my family and I will pay any amount if I know that his care is top-notch. Any amount. But when that amount exceeds the cost of my student loan and car note combined, I will have an issue. And this is what happened. Now bear in mind I put some of the blame on myself - I had a family emergency and I was unsure how many days I would have to board him. It amounted to 11 days. Not quite two weeks. But as I stated in my earlier review, this is not the first time I've boarded my pup before. I've paid less at other locations for longer periods of time - and which offered more like cams and swimming time. 2. They nickel and dime everything. General play with other dogs cost an additional fee. Umm...dogs are social animals. Well, I would like to think that mine is at times. So depending on how long you want your dog to play with others, you'll have to pay extra. I just couldn't imagine him being locked in a crate or room for long periods of time without saying hi to other animals. So I purchased a daily play. But honestly, these shouldn't even be chargeable. But it is what it is...businesses can charge what they want. As a customer I can choose not to purchase it. Oh and another thing - the daily charge (boarding) is based on the weight of your dog. I asked how much it would be for my pup, and they asked how much he weighed. The first time I brought him I don't recall them basing the daily rate on his weight. 3. I picked up my pup and he was extra excited to see me. As usual. Hyper as ever. But the person that brought my dog out stated that he had a little spill in the office (due to the area not being carpeted). My dog is used to walking on carpeted spaces, and because of his age he's unsure about walking on slippery areas. As I got him in the car I could see that he was limping a little, but not too bad for concern. Then I got him home. 2 days later he was having a problem moving from a sitting to standing position. And for some reason he was very unsure about walking on concrete. I worked with him, assured him that he wasn't going to slide on concrete (which was very strange), and about a week later he was ok. 4. When I brought my dog in, he was in good health. When I picked him up, his eyes were watery and runny, and I saw that he had a deep scratch/wound on his head. I'm usually an understanding person, knowing that dogs can rough house it with each other. But no one mentioned anything about the wound. And the watery/runny eyes may be because of the environment that he was in. But I've never had this happen any other time I've boarded him (at different locations). 5. The one thing that I missed the first time I brought my pup in - they used to have report cards for the pup, indicating if he had a good time or needed to improve in any areas. I guess they don't do those anymore. I know it was stupid, but I thought it was a cute gesture for the pup parents. So based on these issues - I will not board my pet at this establishment again. And I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them either. read more

Our boy Jax (55 lb one year old lab mix) LOVES Dog Eaze! They do a wonderful job of giving dogs a mix of socializing/play and rest, plus they give parents a "report card" to tell about their playmates, behavior, etc. We also really appreciate the fees; it is not overpriced for what you get! I've wasted money there. Lets start with the good. Their staff is AMAZINGLY friendly, they're sweet and kind and know the dogs, even if they've been there infrequently. They're smiley and nice and I've never talked to a staff member that isn't a dog lover. I cannot say enough about how nice they are, how genuinely they love the dogs. When I go to do a nail clipping they're so attentive and they beam a pure joy when they see a dog walk in the door, it makes me feel so warm and welcome when I walk in. However, we've had issues with them putting our dog in a kennel and not allowing him to play with other dogs and not telling us. So we paid money for him to sit there, in a kennel, like he would have been at home. The first time I noticed they got him from the kennel and I asked why he was there, they said they didn't know, that they'd get back to me. They then said it was because there was another dog he wasn't getting along with, and the other dog spent half the day in the kennel and Hans spent the other half the day in the kennel. Then I came again and he was again in the kennel, they said, oh, he was chasing another dog on the fence and if you can teach him to keep something in his mouth he'll be fine, so I taught him to keep something in his mouth. Then he was in the kennel again so I didn't bring him back for a while. I just took him back for the first time in months and he was again, in the kennel. This time when I called they said it was because we didn't have a reservation, that everyone who brings their dog there knows that if they don't have a reservation their dog could be in the kennel all day vice playing with the other dogs and apologized that I didn't know that. They said they let him out once and hour or even twice an hour and there were six other dogs being kenneled. I was livid. I'd spoken to the manager about the issue that I don't like to pay for him being in a kennel all day and here he is again, being in a kennel all day. They didn't call to tell me he wouldn't be doing daycare or tell me when I got there they might be full, and when I asked at the end of the day the staff said they didn't know why he was in the kennel vice playing with the other dogs. Not sure what the reason would be next time I find him in a kennel in the back all day and have to pay $22 for it, and I would be remiss to say Dog Eaze Inn is by far the best daycare in town, with the best facility, staff and dog lovers, but I may have to take him to Stafford for daycare (which is a bit crazy), but I can't be throwing money away not knowing if he's playing with friends or in a box in the back all day. read more

These people are great. We were looking for some place close to keep our dog but the places in around here were either a bit too pricey or some place where we did not feel comfortable leaving her. When we first drove up, it did not look too impressive, but we toured the facility and it seemed okay, so we left her over the Christmas holiday. Babs is pretty picky about where she stays, she is an old dog, around 15 years now, so she pretty much prefers the company of humans over other dogs. They noted that and limited her interaction with other dogs and I'm guessing everything went fine. We received a report card for her stays and they have always been good. They have done some improvements since the last time we were there so we are looking forward to how the facilities look now. I highly recommend them. read more

I have left my dogs here once and we had a good experience. They are very easy to contact via email or phone, they seem to really love what they do, and they have a lot of options for extra play times for your pets. My dogs seemed to be well taken care of and they even got a batch before we picked them up. I am crazy so I called every day to check in on them and they always answered the phone and gave me updates on my pups. My only complaint would be that they lost my credit card information so they had to call me to get payment and they had a hard time finding our stuff when we picked up our dogs. It was the holidays though so they were probably a little frantic. Would definitely use again! read more

First and foremost, I REALLY don't like how they don't have someone there 24/7. I consider my dogs my kids so having that said, I wouldn't leave them alone overnight. My concern is what happens if there is an emergency with the facility or the dogs. There would be havoc. They also don't have cameras in the facility in case you wanted to know how your dog was doing, instead of calling. A camera would be more promising. Secondly, they only have a few private rooms and those room are the bare minimum of what you would consider comforting. Other than that, medium and small dogs are all in cages and crates. Very small ones too. The place is little dirty as well. I am so glad I got the tour before making any reservations. I guess you get what you pay for. Overall I would not have my babies stay in that place. Doesn't seem well kept and very run down. If anything, the people working there were very nice and caring. read more

This place is hit or miss. The person who does intake is very customer-service oriented. Our dog has boarded here three times and there have been issues twice. One time they completely forgot to bathe/groom her. The second time things went off without a hitch. The third and most recent time we were left with a rather poor impression: 1) The folks who work the front desk just seem kind of ...there. Not real interested. 2) Issues with grooming: a)They bathed her but did not brush her, as we were able to brush out an entire plastic grocery bag full of hair less than a day later. b) They did not grind her nails, saying that someone forgot to "check that box". While they did not supposedly charge us for grinding her nails, c)when doing intake over the phone we were asked if we wanted the same package as last time and we confirmed that we did, which included the nails. 3) I called to discuss these issues as well as to see how our dog interacted with other dogs and after leaving two voicemails and waiting four days, no one returned my call. On the recommendation of a neighbor, I've been taking my puppy here regularly for daycare and occasional boarding since she was about 8 weeks old. She is now ten months old and still loves going to Dog Eaze (literally leaping out of the car when we pull up). She always comes home happy and tired, and sometimes she even whines as we go home because she wanted to hang out some more with her doggie and human friends! I usually get a more or less basic package for her (occasionally with a bath), and that seems to do the trick. (She's a GSP and really just needs a safe place to run and play--not much in the way of frills.) You definitely get a better value/more convenience by purchasing a package, especially if there's a sale on said package. The staff is friendly and do their best to accommodate veterinary/health needs. They also have told me when they've noticed something amiss with my pup. My dog has been boarded here a couple times but yesterday when I brought my puppy home I saw that she had multiple open blisters on her feet from their fake grass and was having a extremely hard time walking and even trying to sit down was hard for her. She had to be taken to the emergency room and given pain medicine that just helps her. It she is still struggling to walk. It's so heartbreaking to see her move so slowly and have discomfort because she's only 8months old and is always extremely hyper and wanting to play. I was never informed that my dog was injured and had to found out on my own. When I spoke to the manager this morning she did reimburse me for the hospital visit and looked at the cameras and could see when my dog started having troubles walking and had to write up two staff members. Called back and was told he was not taken out of his room on time due to number of dogs they had and what did they want me for them to do. They offered a free bath credit. On 12/10/8 My dog was hurt while staying at this daycare, she had to be sedated to have two stitches put in and repair the inner corner of her eye. They promised I would get reimbursed for the Vet/Emergency services but to this day I've received nothing. I've spoken to the manager 3 times, she said the owner sent the check, I never got anything, then she said she couldn't do anything cause the owner was on vacation. I've been trying to reach her but she's either "not there, in a meeting or left for the day". It has been over a month. This is unacceptable and irresponsible from their part. We went to check this place out prior to our vacation and were not impressed with the accomodations for the dogs or with the staff. Two different people with two different dogs- during 'one on one' time, texting instead. One sitting on a bench texting while the beagle sat begging with a ball in his mouth, the other person with a phone in one hand, half waving a toy in the other. We walked out saying "No way". Also there was one very large dog stuffed into a very small room- obviously suited for a small dog closest to the desk in the main building. read more

I would give less than 1 star if possible. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS HERE!! I have never used this business nor would I but I drive past this place on a daily basis. You can clearly see the outdoor kennels from the road and this place consistently leaves dogs outside in the rain/sleet/snow with no cover anywhere over the kennel so the dogs can at least have a little shelter from the elements. I have also, on multiple occasions, witnessed dogs left outside in extreme heat; again the outside kennels have no shelter from direct sunlight. I will be reporting this establishment to appropriate authorities but I felt like people need to know this before you leave your poor dogs to suffer. read more

I was not impressed at all with the appearances of this place, but after speaking with Dani and some of the other staff and then popping in to take a tour, I find that appearances aren't everything. What matters most to me is the level of care for my dog. The prices are cheaper than some of the other places that I checked out around this area and they offer a military discount unlike the other places. What I did like about this place is that the dogs actually get to go outside to pee and poop and to run around (if you purchase that in your package) instead of being inside a warehouse type place the whole time. When I picked up my dog he seemed just fine. He wasn't even as hyper as he has been when I have picked him up from other places. I also liked that they gave me a little report card for him. Very impressed with the professionalism when I took a tour of the facility. Left my lil' bubby over a long weekend and although I can't confirm how much he enjoyed being there over the weekend he looked a lot less stress at pickup than the previous kennel we went to. On the way out, the staff that were present were interacting with him and seemed to be really familiar with him and I appreciate that kind of effort and service.
