It's very warm/hot...due to moisture, lights, heaters. Not the worst fish store experience I've had, but I had to deep breathes to stay calm while moving about. Super packed with "stuff", so you'll prob find what you're looking for. Seemed somewhat on pricey side for tank decor, but fish seemed more normally priced. Haven't bought from them yet. Didn't find fish I was looking for. Not totally opposed to returning, but not thrilled to return either. So...just a 3 "meh" for me.

After years of buying pumps that lasted less than a year, they provided me with one that worked for 4 years and were then able to †hen provide me with a new part. They have saved me so much money and so many headaches. They also have an incredible variety of critters to put in aquariums and ponds. The owner is very careful about getting fish, etc., that have gone through the proper channels so they are not carrying diseases.

They are offering to replace them at cost but I live over an hour away and since I do not salt my tank wouldn't it be the same problem all over again?? Let's start with the store itself; it's clean, organized, and lovely to just walk around and admire. You can tell that Adam has so much passion and love for what he does. He's also extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to saltwater fish, setups, installation, and anything else, he's your guys. I went in with my husband because our corals and fish were dying and we were on the verge of giving up the hobby entirely. Adam and Greg assisted us in resolving the problem, and we left feeling confident and hopeful, which is something we haven't felt in a long time because all the other stores just push you to buy random items instead of actually giving you proper advice. Adam gave us great advice and suggestions without making like we needed to buy anything from him, wasn't pushy at all, didn't make us feel embarrassed, ashamed or stupid because of our mistakes (which other stores would do). He put us at ease and encouraged us to continue our saltwater aquarium adventure. Those two men deserve all the kind words, but I'll keep it brief. This is my new and permanent favorite aquatic store in the DMV area.
