We had heard about this being a good fish market so we tried it Saturday August 30th. As soon as you hit the main entrance your senses are assaulted with an overwhelming smell of what seemed like cat urine and fish. My wife started gagging immediately 2 steps inside so we took 2 steps outside. Our shopping trip here was over before it began. Shop at your own risk. read more

The entrance is in the back of the store, in an ample parking lot. We heard about the fish dept. through a casual conversation with a mutual acquaintance. So we went for a ride. The neighborhood is a little sketchy on Main St. Poughkeepsie, but don't let that put you off. Once inside you wend your way through a maze of aisles, going past rows of recognizable produce and exotic produce. There's loads of fresh herbs, several types of mushrooms, and vegetables. It's not fancy inside. The shelves carry mostly Caribbean and Mexican products, produce, and household items. But, there are also the same items you might find in a local supermarket. There are Asian items on the shelves as well. There aren't many fish markets up here, compared to the City. The fish section is quite impressive. Whole fluke, mackerel, gigantic porgies, and other whole fresh fish. Further down are fillets and seafood. There is no fishy smell anywhere. The clams close when tapped. Today I checked the eyes and gills of a few fish - clear and bright red. The way there supposed to be when fresh. Bring your own shopping bags. read more

Great local supermarket to grab items. Fresh vegetables, fruits, and fish. It does stink in there; I'm guessing from the seafood area. Other than that, great customer service! read more

Found out that they make breakfast sandwiches and only $3.55 for egg, cheese and bacon on a roll. Add to it the owner is great! It only makes me want to go there more often. They sell bulk nuts, seeds, spices, coffee, tea, rice grains beans flour oats pasta oils and more. Maa as ny items are organic and prices seem to be on par or lower than other natural food stores in the area! She even has bulk shampoo, laundry detergent soap and household/kitchen items. The tare system allows you to bring your own bags and jars to fill and she has clean jars for free to use as well and you weigh the container before filling so you're not paying extra for the container weight. Happy to support this brand new small business!!

We were seated in the back near the pizza oven, which ended up being the best seat in the house because we got to meet Austin. He was absolutely fantastic. The energy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality he brought to the experience made the evening so special. Mike was our server and he was also wonderful, checking in often and making sure everything was perfect. They had unfortunately run out of chicken parmesan, but instead of simply saying it wasn't available, they made it from scratch just for my husband. It was easily one of the best chicken parmesans we have ever had. The sauce was so incredible that we could not stop talking about it. Austin overheard us and, without us even asking, brought over a full bowl of the sauce so we could dip our pizza crust in it. That level of attention and care is something you rarely see. I ordered the New York style pizza and it was absolutely delicious. They use sourdough and King Arthur's flour, and you can truly taste the difference. The flavor and texture were outstanding. When we finished, they asked if we wanted dessert. We were hesitant because we were already so full, but Austin encouraged us to try their vanilla cheesecake and we are so glad he did. It was honestly some of the best cheesecake we have ever had. Between the phenomenal food, the thoughtful service, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere, this place completely exceeded our expectations. Experiences like this are rare and truly special. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
