Normally, I love the food from here, but my recent experience wasn't the best. It was just a few young girls working their butts off, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the Cali breakfast flatbread and as soon as I was handed it, I could feel something cold. Biting into semi cold eggs isn't a pleasant feeling. Apart from that, the flatbread was good. The value would have been better if a side was included like most other flatbreads. I also ordered the Detox Island Green smoothie. It wasn't anything to brag about. It tasted a little off...I'm not sure how to describe it. Perhaps too heavy on the ginger. If you like green smoothies, I would opt for their regular Island Green (no ginger is added) or the Avocolada. Overall, it's still a decent place to grab yummy smoothies, so I'll be back. read more

Smooth delicious huge smoothie. Fun shrimp quesadilla. Fast and friendly service. We got an edible straw to try later as a lime straw with peanut smoothie sounds unwise. The straw was just okay. We ordered a 3 cheese chicken quesadilla with kale apple slaw. We added an extra slaw. We received a children's cheese quesadilla and one slaw. When I asked about the extra, I was told I didn't pay for it and would have to order again. We ended up paying $11 for a plain cheese quesadilla and one slaw. That math doesn't work out according to the menu. The slaw we received tasted rotten, I couldn't tell if the taste was the kale or the dressing. It was inedible. This was such a disappointing trip. If you're too busy trying to close 45 minutes before you actually shut your doors maybe you should just consider not having your doors open for customers to walk in. I've been to this TSC several times and they are rude every time we go in. This last time we came in and three different people were standing around cleaning counters and not a single person said anything to us for 4 minutes. Tropical Smoothie cafe has a great selection of smoothies! The cafe is easily accessible from with Gemini or Polaris on Lyra. The cafe is very bright and new looking inside. The staff all seemed very busy, but friendly. I got the Island Green smoothie and it was delicious. It has kale, spinach, mango and banana it was perfect. I got the buffalo wrap which was a good option for a quick lunch. I will definitely go back and try a quesadilla and one of the many smoothies. read more

this is in reference to the one on Lyra. I'm not sure if they came under new management or what is going on but it's terrible in there. the service is god awful now it went from high school kids to what looks like a family working the place and the teenagers did better. the woman who works there doesnt know how to work a blender or even take your order without getting super confused (I only ever really o refer the jetty punch with Splenda so nothing complicated). she also just stares at you like she's lost and doesn't say a word to you when you go to order ... literally will stand at the register silent and staring its borderline rude. the bigger guy who works in the back gets an attitude if you can't understand what he's saying (he has a heavy accent when he says names for orders). i assume he's the one in charge as well as he's generally telling everyone else what needs to be done but he's extremely rude most of the time. there's literally no personality to the place anymore. the people are impersonal and it's probably some of the worst service I've ever seen especially from a place that I used to love going to for service alone. read more

3/4/20 visit. Let me just start out by saying this restaurant is pristine. The gentleman at the front counter gave me plenty of time to make my decision and answered my questions. I ordered a banana crunch flatbread and a sunset smoothie. My total came to $8.08 which is very reasonable. The flatbread was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and the toppings were over flowing. The smoothie had the right amount of thickness and was full of fruit. I was so full I couldn't finish my smoothie. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. I've debated what to review this place for a while. On one hand, this is a new business. I'm sure they will become better and better over time! As a vegan, I always want to support small businesses that may have options. So, when I found out about this place, I was very excited to try it. I was a bit disappointed when I arrived to see a complicated menu that had no vegan symbols. I tried to change my order to be without dairy, meat, etc, but I definitely struggled to find anything I could eat. I ended up getting a hummus burrito that had ranch on it. I didn't find out it had ranch on it till after eating it, and it upset my stomach for a week (since I can't eat dairy). I completely understand that this would be my error, but I am very disappointed that it isn't more clear that there was ranch in a hummus burrito. The smoothie was great that I had, but there was no indication as to whether or not the chocolate in the smoothie was vegan. Overall, this is a cool place. I would absolutely love to see more vegan options, and a more clear menu. read more

The one in Polaris always treat me so horribly. They truly express Black lives don't matter. Each time I've gone there, I'm never greeted with a hi or a smile. I say thank you , never get your welcome. Today I was there . I got by pass 3 time without receiving my smoothie I was there at least 15 minutes the manager kept asking me do you have a mobile order? Smoothies are good and haven't had any major problems with service. The biggest complaint I would actually say is the smell of the place. I understand cultural differences and am not trying to come across as judgmental, but every time I go into this place it has a horrible smell of Indian food and I leave with the stench in my clothes. The food and smoothies are delicious! It is a very clean and aesthetically pleasing place to grab lunch. It's right off of the highway too so if you are traveling, again this is a quick and healthier place to stop vs. driving through a fast food restraint. That being said, the staff is not the best. When I walked up to the register, there was a lady just texting and looking down at her phone. I went to order and she kept texting and didn't make eye contact. I repeated myself and she continued to look down and said "hold on" and I had to wait for about 2-3 minutes. When I ordered, she was not kind. It is important to have good communication with customers. If she needed to send a text, she could have communicated and asked if I could wait five minutes because she has an important message to send or, she could have asked one of the 4-5 other people working to cover her while she spends time texting rather than just being rude. read more
