Today is 8/18/18, came in and saw signage promoting the New Cuban Pressed Sandwich. Love Cubans, so ordered one. However the cashier informed me that they "no longer sell this anymore" as she stood right next to a very large sign that had a picture of a Cuban Pressed Sandwich. The DRINKS: Sunrise Sunset: LIKE ORANGE JUICE ON STEROIDS The essential smoothie concoction composed of strawberries, pineapple, mango, orange juice, and ice. If the first slurp does not get you hooked, the next few will have you forgetting that you are drinking a healthy, vitamin-packed smoothie. The orange juice provides the citrusy, acidic flavor, further enhanced by the tropical notes of pineapple and mango and the lightly sweet strawberries. These smoothies are blended to the point where the ice fuses with the frozen fruits in a wonderful marriage leading to a flavor-packed slushy. The smoothies are my favorite and the detox and acai berry boost are a few of my favorites but the customer service is EXCELLENT. I did like that I can substitute a veggie or fruit with no extra charge. The Detox island smoothie has spinach that you cant even taste but that the healthy good side of it and its great for breakfast too. I did drink the acai one and it was Delicious and I asked for the left over in another small cup and there was no issues. Well hey I paid for it so dont throw it away, right. One of my favorite places for healthy fast food with a smoothie. They have really good food and if you have the app you get discounts and random free things. I go there whenever I can't think of another healthy option. It's always very satisfying. The buffalo or Baja wraps are really good. Made it to our hotel by 730. Called tropical green after being car sick for 9 hours, 26 weeks pregnant with a cold and just wanted to order a couple smoothies and a turkey sandwich. They wouldn't let me put an order in over $15 to start with. So I hang up and decide well just out the other two orders in, one for my kids at Grimaldi's and one for hubby at Texas Roadhouse. Well by the time those orders were going to be finished tropical smoothie would've been closed. So I sent hubby to get the smoothie, come back and then go back out bc I don't want the smoothies to be melted. So I decide I'll just get one smoothie and a sandwich instead. I called to place the order, they don't have that sandwich anymore so it made the decisions easy. Mind you, hubby already left and it's only 3 mins away. So I order my two smoothies and he asked for the credit card number! Welllllll why would I have the card when he's coming to get it. So since this was my second attempt I made sure to let them know the dilemma and also mentioned how much of a pain in the ass their process is. It's wasting time, not saving it. So he says I'm rude and I can put an online order in. Surprise surprise, I can't make any specific requests, aka for an extra thick smoothie so it doesn't melt on its way over. You will stand in line forever and they will not acknowledge you, If you have a to go order and you stand at the counter every worker behind the counter will not look at you or ask if you need anything. This is so sad because I really love their smoothies. They need management to lead and guide them on good customer service. unfortunately that is a lost art, not the kids fault. read more

I have the most filling and delicious lunch from here at least twice a week. Today I tried the turkey apple Dijon sandwich and it's my new favorite. Its so filling, I was full with just half. It's on a 9-grain oat which is also my favorite. I don't believe bacon has a place in any sandwich so the cashiers always take It off without a problem. I also recommend the Baja Chicken wrap, its chicken, rice, black beans, guac and a delicious sauce! Everyone working here is so friendly and happy to serve guests. If it wasn't for the staff, I don't think I would be here as often as I am. The manager Darlene is on top of everything. I pair all my entrees with a Chia Banana boost smoothie because it's the most filling one I've tried and It keeps me full until my late dinner. If you do the surveys in the bottom of the receipt, you can get a $1.99 smoothie with a food item. Which saves you $1.50 on the combo that also comes with chips or apples for your side. What also keeps me here is that they carry my favorite chips ever, Ms. Vickie's. If you've tried the jalapeño chips, you know they're amazing and not commonly found. I only know if one other place who has these. Tropical smoothie can no do wrong. I highly recommend stopping by for your lunch. read more

I was in town on a business trip. Post workout I was looking for a healthy alternative to hotel food and was fortunate enough to find this gem in a new outdoor shopping center close by. Super cute area full of families enjoying the warm summer night temperatures outdoors. The cafe is a bit small but very quaint. It was a busy night but the wait was reasonable. The food was fresh and tasty. I love that they have a naturally sweetened option for their smoothies. Came here with my husband on his lunch. We had some coupons. We both ordered a pumpkin smoothie. I ordered the Santa Fe quesadilla and husband ordered chicken ranch flatbread. The service is great! My smoothie literally tasted like pumpkin pie purée which is good but a little too much for my taste. My husband loved it! My quesadilla was so good! This place is probably one of the best to get smoothies in El Paso. I always get the peaches and silk which is really good but one time I got the peanut butter one with chai and it tasted like something I could make it home so I don't recommend that one. I can't say anything about the food because I've never had any there but I don't like the way that the place smells. It doesn't smell super bad like mold or bad food but it just smells weird but that might just be me. Oh and another BIG thing is that they fail to offer a military discount when they see my usaa card and I have only been asked once. read more

The service at this particular location was atrocious. I order a smoothie online, which should have been ready at 3:30pm. I showed up at 3:35 expecting it to be ready, but it wasn't. This wasn't really this issue though. When I asked one of the staff members about my order they told me they were working on it. I then, however, watched people walk in to order and then out of the store before me. Finally, at 3:47, this woman hands me my smoothie, sees that the cup is only 2/3 of the way full, and then tries to hand it to me anyways. Incredibly frustrated, I kindly asked her if the cup could be filled up all the way (especially since I had already waited an absurd amount of time). She rolled her eyes and took the cup back. 10 minutes later (nearly 30min after my smoothie was supposed to be ready), I got my drink. The smoothie itself was good, and quite frankly those are hard to come by in this area -- so, my advice is to simply choose a location. read more
